I happened to wander into this one room gallery because there was a long line at Taos Cow ice cream across the street. It’s full of incredible wood kiln-fired pottery from small tumblers to large vases in earthy shades, each piece unique due to the firing process. The owner/ceramic artist, Scott, is super friendly and approachable; he educated us on the differences between electric kilns + wood kilns, as well as how he achieves different effects during the firing process. I appreciated that the prices started at around $ 20 for a mug, which meant that I could afford to take home one of his pieces. He also carries a few paintings and wooden spirit bird sculptures. My favorite one featured owls carved out of burnt blackened wood on a branch, but it cost several hundred dollars.
