I would consider moving to Taos just to be able to go to Abe’s every day. Abe and his two daughters are friendly, helpful, interesting and just plain fun. The back patio is a hidden treasure, completely unseen from the road. I’m so happy right now.

Abe is the nicest old guy. I loved going to this bar– it has a low ceiling and huge viga (log) pillars, which are carved beautifully. Right next door is the cocina, a little diner and grocery. The bar side also has a big walk-​in cooler for carry outs! And, Abe’s green chile stew is the BEST I have ever, ever had. It’s true: if your spouse drives you to drink, have ‘em drive you to Abe’s. Yes.
