Dr Ruda is, by far, the best chiropractor I’ve ever been to. I’ve had mixed experiences in the past with others. Dr Ruda is cool, calm and very knowledgeable. He fixes my back in minutes. His front office staff is also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Dr. Ruda is a great chiropractor! I can’t say enough about how good this guy is. I see him a couple of times a year over the past 5-​years when my neck or back go out. After an adjustment I feel 100% better. Before Dr. Ruda, I tried other chiropractors and they weren’t effective treating my back and neck. It’s amazing to me the before and after results. Also, his office staff is very friendly and have always managed to get me in on a short notice. Thanks again!

It’s a small office in Arroyo Grande, and it’s worth looking for! I drive from Santa Maria (about 20 miles away) because I get an affordable visit. Works for me because I don’t have health insurance. $ 25 cash payment gets me about 15 — 20 minutes.
You can relax on a massage table or chair while waiting to see the doc, and x-​rays if you need them are done at a hospital down the street for about $ 50.
Jody the receptionist is friendly, helpful and kind. Doctor Ruda definitely knows what he’s doing and has a good sense for what needs to be worked on.
If you need a place to go for back and neck, this is it!

John Ruda is absolutely THE BEST chiropractor I have ever had work on me. In the early 1980’s, I seriously damaged my lumbar spine doing an extreme forward bend in Yoga practice. This incident occurred in a relatively remote part of Hawaii — and after half a day of immobilization, I was able to crawl through the jungle to the road and get back home. For over a quarter of a century, my back went out over 4x a year — often for extended periods. I have had many chiropractors world over set my back.
In a brief series of treatments, John healed this chronic problem. Although I do occasionally throw my back out, I am never in the extreme pain that I previously suffered. One of the Central Coast’s real treasures.

I’m honored and surprised to be the first to write a review for Dr. Ruda. I have been going to him for years and recommend him to anyone in the five cities area. It’s not just that he is VERY reasonably priced, he is very knowledgeable and experienced. He takes the time to discuss the issues involved in your treatment and usually resolves them in one visit. I rarely need to return. His primary receptionist, Jodi, is very cool.
