I recently picked up a VW Vanagon and had some issues with the stove, refrigerator and propane system. I had trouble finding a place willing to work on it, so I took it to A-RV since they deal with RVs. Although they didn’t have any experience with the VW vans, they were willing to go through it. They got all the systems running, plus offered to straighten out and paint the mangled bumpers. They were helpful with the repairs and my budget, stoked to know they’re around!

Thanks for your reply, Julie D. of A-RV Storage & Repair. SpeedCo is a nationwide oil change & service franchise for diesel trucks, think Jiffy Lube for big rigs. Their RV Medium Duty service is $ 175. The cost for a Fleetguard Cummins LF9009 filter is $ 40 to $ 50 at Ryder Products or Amazon. The Chevron Delo 40015w40 motor oil I specified is $ 29 for 2 ½ gallons at Walmart, which would require three containers for my ISL400 engine, $ 87. Total for oil and filter is $ 137 at most. Since our service in April 2014, the dash air conditioner has lost its charge and doesn’t cool again, so the repair of leaking coolant wasn’t done properly. The electric side of the water heater still gave problems until I found a poorly crimped terminal attaching to the thermostat/limit switch, causing increased current draw and burning the wiring. I replaced the thermostat/limit switch, ran new high temperature wire and used a new high temperature rated terminal. No problems since I repaired your repair. I stand by my previous review and rating, especially since the dash air conditioner repair and hot water heater electric repair both failed in less than six months.

I’m sorry, but I’m a small business owner myself, and the policies this company has in place in regards to renting a travel trailer are not fair. I planned to rent a trailer a couple of days before and they have a policy to verify background checks that have a turn around time of 4 days. so they said they would not work with me. I’m sorry, this is a turn off. Verifying Insurance, Employment, Drivers license info is not a big deal, it takes at most a day… sorry, poor business practices foster a poor customer service experience

We recently camped at Pismo Sands RV Park for a large family celebration. We were referred to A-RV when we made reservations at the park since we needed a few RV rentals for family members. I worked with Diana on reserving 3RV’s who was extremely helpful in determining which units would be best for each family. On the day of check in she coordinated with the park office on times and sites that the RV’s would be delivered. Each RV was delivered, set-up, and picked up by Richard, who was very efficient and took time to give instructions on the RV’s. They were all very clean and well maintained units that our family enjoyed. Everything went extremely smooth from beginning to end and all for much less than a nice hotel room in Pismo Beach! It was one of the best family trips we’ve had and I highly recommend A-RV if you need a rental in this area.

I think they are great. Have done body work on my 30′ .5th wheel twice. Once a good size collision and later from tire blow out damage. Trailer was like new. Also did all wheel and brake service. They are busy so you might have to wait.

I really liked the people I met there… from mechanics Edwin and Hermenio to the gals in the front office. However, I think they’re ridiculously expensive. I was told that my motor home had major handling problems that could cost up to $ 30,000 to repair!!! They took the coach for a test ride, lubed it and were supposed to do a brake inspection of which I never received a report. The bill was $ 220 which I felt was excessive. I subsequently had new leaf springs added to the rear by a different business and personally installed 2 new shocks in the front. The handling problems disappeared.

I’m new to the San Luis Obispo area and scheduled an appointment for Friday, May 17th to have some work done. After driving 21 miles to the A-RV facility I arrive and low and behold, the owners decided to go camping and forgot to call me! It’s the little things that make excellence. Now I wonder what else they would forget when working on a motorhome. Maybe the wheel lugs, or something with the propane system. I don’t know how good the work might have been for sure, but in my book, if you can’t even keep your normal business hours without spontaneously closing, your childish and immature. Go to Dyers Diesel in San Luis Obispo and forget the yahoos in the sticks.
