Blondie’s Grille & Bar

I got the reuben burger — came with corned beef and swiss. Amazing! My girlfriend got the honey fried chicken and she said the skin was perfectly crispy. Caesar salad was also yummy. We’ll be coming here again!

A nice concept for a restaurant and the owner is a lovely genuine fellow, but they miss the mark as this food is greasy and not the finest ingredients. Don’t expect anything organic or pesticide free here. And the location draws locals and traveling through heavy drinkers who frequent this restaurant.
A shame as this location is directly on the route to Big Bear, with year ’round tourist traffic, and if this restaurant were more of a cute, Blondie’s …as in Goldie locks and the 3 Bears type of theme, with delicious high quality food and a gift shop, it would be a wonderful tourist stop for families to enjoy and could really be a landmark for tourists as well as locals to be proud of. We need a ‘Black Bear Diner’ on this mountain so desperately. We’d drive to Big Bear weekly if there were a high quality, fun chain restaurants there like that… But as it is, there are just NO good quality restaurants on the entire mountain.

I’ve been going to Blondie’s for a while. Over the last year or so the eggs benedict have bummed me out. I went once a few months ago and the eggs were way overcooked. I mentioned it to person up front said they had someone in training and he was still learning. I thought, okay fine.
I was there last weekend and same thing but worse. We had ordered two plates that should have come with poached eggs. Sadly, the eggs might as well have been boiled. I should add that everything else about the plate was great. English muffin, hollandaise sauce, presentation and potatoes but the hard eggs killed the meal.
The server offered to correct it but at that point we had waited almost 30min for our plates. We were very hungry and didn’t want to spend more of our day waiting for another plate. Bummer

First time in here. Heard the food is good but I’m only in for a drink. I have to say the staff is super friendly and funny. Will be coming back soon.

Hit the spot! Cute little place on our way home, made a stop and weren’t disappointed. Bloody Mary wasn’t the best but overall an 8.

Good food with only some minor gripes.
Pros:
+ Friendly staff, reasonably good service. Drinks were refilled regularly.
+ Home fries were good, if a little too dried out. Sausage gravy was good.
+ Pancakes were light and fluffy, excellent overall.
+ Prices were decent, breakfast for two was $ 19 plus tip.
+ The military tribute wall is a nice touch.
Cons:
— Breakfast sausage was big, but way too greasy — it would be better if they butterflied it and let more of the fat run out/​render.
Worth a trip, I’d be interested to come back here for lunch/​dinner some time.

Good food on the mountain. Tasty burgers and not a bad drink menu. This is our go to lunch or dinner stop up to the cabin. Also for hose of you headed into Big Bear this is a stop for the Mtn Transit.

Had the charbroiled california. They have really good food and excellent service, beautiful décor. Definitely recommend!

Not much else in the area so we decided to have lunch at Blondie’s. I was a bit worried that due to the lack of competition the food and service would be poor but that was not the case at all. The service was excellent and fast. Both the women helping us were friendly and helpful. I ordered the grown up ham & cheese and loved it. The bread had cheese melted into it and the sandwich was actually cheese but not overly so. They also actually put a ton of ham on it as well. The fries were good and my boyfriend also liked his meal. The prices were good and they also have a bar so you can find pretty much anything you could want to eat or drink.

Only had drinks here but the owners are amazing and the service was awesome!!! Check this little gem out on your drive to Big Bear! They have shot skis. And they’ll do them with you if you ask nicely! Definitely coming back here with a bunch of friends!

Not that I’ve ever been to prison, but if I had been there, I would assume that the food tastes like Blondies – at least the pot roast that is. Slop, and under par. Makes cafeteria food seem like the Taj Mahal.
However, our server was outstanding! Hustled, was friendly, polite, on point service! Great Americana feel with military presence and fun memorabilia. I really liked that.
I’m just complaining about the pot roast, so try the burgers, sandwiches or salads, those looked good, just not for me, especially starving after a day on the mountain. Nah. Pass.

What a wonderful experience. Such genuinely friendly staff. Real home diner feel. Charming, good food, quick service. Perfect stop on the way back to LA from Big Bear.

Blondies is the best! We came in with a 12 person group yesterday after snowboarding at Bear Mountain and everyone loved it! The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and even helped us find parking when the lot was full! One person in our group is Vegan & Gluten Free and the Chef came out and talked with her personally to create an awesome meal! Not only was the food amazing but the customer service and kindness went above and beyond most restaurants. We will defintely be visiting Blondies again next time we are in the area!
P. s. Ask for the Ninja Burger (Grilled cheese & burger combined) you won’t be disappointed !

The first and most important part of any restaurant experience is the vibe you get when you walk in. Of course I’m going to rate this place 5 stars when the owner is walking around the place greeting people with small talk. The waitresses have great energy and are super nice. The menu could’ve been simplified with less items. I personally don’t like too many options which I why I love in n out.
The Reuben was amazing. The Ninja was fantastic.

We have been here twice now and its always awesome. The food is great and there is always some good music playing in the background. Old style atmosphere here for sure. Stop by, you wont regret it.

I wanted to comment on M. P’s review of this place. I was there on the morning she lost it. She was incredibly rude and offensive and she owes that waitress an apology and a huge tip. The waitress was very professional in the face of the rudest person I ever saw. M. P Needs to get help. The whole restaurant, including M. P’s own group, was embarrassed to see an adult having a temper tantrum like a two year old.
I took a look at MP’s other reviews — there are either two different people sharing the logon or one person with a serious personality disorder — almost all the reviews are either 1 or 5 — love or hate there is no in-​between.
I would recommend this place to anyone especially if they like burgers. Their beef patties are hand made and cooked perfectly. The Caprese burgers are particularly good.

We’ve been meaning to try Blondie’s for years because Robyn and Randy provide the food and management for The Lake Arrowhead Yacht Club.
We finally went last night and were not disappointed. Randy suggested his peppercorn steak, and it was fabulous. I never put steak sauce on a good steak, but I was already s fan of Randy’s great soups and sauces from the yacht club, so I made an exception. It was fantastic. My wife ordered the salmon, and can’t stop talking about it.
The menu was extensive, and Mary, our server, was attentive, knowledgable, and quick. It was a bit further than we usually go when we’re at our lake home in Lake Arrowhead, but worth the drive.
Tomorrow night, we’ll enjoy more of Randy’s repertoire at the yacht club’s Wednesday night fine dining.

My friends and I stayed in Running Springs for the weekend and when we saw this place driving to Green Valley Lake we made plans to come the next day for lunch and I’m so glad we did. We ordered a pretty good variety of food, from the sampler platter to the tomato basil bisque to the honey stung fried chicken to the caprese sandwich and pork quesadillas and finally the apple pie — everything was delicious. I promise! but you know what made his place better? The staff was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress was such a doll, she even tried to find a football game for us (49ers we’re from northern ca) anyways the owner Robyn truly cares that people eat well and leave happy and you can tell! You feel like you’re part of the blondie’s family as soon as you walk in and it’s just so lovely.
Loved the patriot corner and the pics of blondes all over as well especially the Dixie chicks one haha. Next time we visit were definitely comin back and we’re certainly going to make it a tradition — thank you blondie’s!

Legit BBQ joint in the mountains and home of the famous Ski Shot.
Ski shot-​4 shot glasses placed on a ski. 4 friends take shots at the same time by lifting up the ski. AWESOME!
The food here is really tasty! They offer many distinct sauces that all stand out on their own. No flavor crossover. I prefer the pork ribs over the beef. Order the corn on the cob! It’s slathered in cheesy goodness.
