The area Sierra Vacation Rentals is located in is remote. There’s snow in winter, a lot of streets aren’t plowed, the reception doesn’t work for cell service(Unless you have Sprint), but it’s so beautiful up there! The house we stayed in was very big, they had cable TV with Comcast, it was so nice.(the house I mean) However, I rate this place with two stars due to two problems. The first being the inconvenient but understandable rules they have. One must bring their own towels and bed sheets. Not too bad, they have a washer and dryer, and I go up there to snowboard and be with my dogs so the washer/dryer comes in handy. Or the rule that you may only leave two bags of garbage in the house and the rest you have to deal with yourself and, if you want to recycle you have to do it all yourself and bring it down to Arnold to personally separate out your own recycling. Which is extremely difficult to deal with in 10 feet of snow, but not so bad otherwise. If you like doing that. However, the most annoying detail of my stay was the fact that my 14 year old brother sat on a chair with his 120 lb butt and broke the inside, now we have to pay for an already broken chair that was at no fault of ours and they’re telling us our dogs ate part of the carpet. Now that I would understand, however, I saw what they were referring to and what really happened was our dogs pulled up some strings(like literally a few strings)…no ripping, no huge hole where carpet was. It’s honestly just not worth it. It’s expensive, it’s not your house, you have to clean the whole place when your done, the only reason I’d go back is because it is hard to find places up in that area that allow dogs. But it’s really not worth it.
