Unfortunately, Cottage Springs is no more. Closed and the property is for sale. It’s too bad as I always thought there was a successful plan somewhere to be had. It would have been a nice place.

I used to come here as a kid and remember that they had a lift that was operable. They no longer have a lift at all. Very disappointing. I guess this place would be exceptional for bringing your children to play in the snow.

Ok, I’ve no idea why the address is listed as Avery. Cottage Springs is past Arnold on the way to Bear Valley, but whatever. Back to my review. This is a REALLY small ski resort with one run. Yep, that’s it folks, one run.
The cool thing about Cottage Springs though is that you can rent a tube and go tubing down the mountain. I’m not sure if that is still the case but I did it when I was a kid. Awesome! I also used to like going night skiing here. If you haven’t tried it, it’s a blast!
