I do love to support local small businesses whenever I can, so I try to use Broadneck Pharmacy as much as possible. They are located in the same complex as my primary care physician and allergist, so if I just need a one-time prescription filled, I can usually stop in and get it without too much of a wait. One very nice feature now is that my primary care office can e-mail my prescriptions over to them, and they start working on them before I even arrive… love that! And the pharmacist was nice enough to provide me with a coupon for one med that isn’t available in a generic, so that was a nice touch. However, they do have limited hours so it doesn’t always work for me for refills. A very cool feature now is that they also carry veterinary meds, which I didn’t know until I saw their poster in the window. This could be a real money saver, since vet offices often charge a huge mark-up for standard medications(Banfield clinic charges over $ 60 for a prescription that would have been $ 4 at a regular pharmacy). I haven’t had to use them for my dog yet, but when he needs meds again, you can bet I“ll give them a call!
