I would never go back here again! We made reservations for one night weeks prior to the date which was also confirmed by the restaurant. That night we went to the restaurant and found out from the hotel next door that the restaurant decided to close for the night and never even bothered to call us to let us know! Then we made reservations for another night through open table, first they never even gave me my points for that night and then on top of it while we were eating our meal we saw a mouse right next to our table running around! We told our waiter and he said, «i will let my manager know». Never even apologized, didn’t even bother to comp anything on the menu, the manager never even came to our table to apologize! HORRIBLE. would never go back!

As others have said, this place has gone downhill. The restaurant used to be great but the last two times I came the service was just awful. I have to say the food is pretty good, but I refuse to pay those prices and wait nearly two hours to eat even when the place is empty. I guess there’s a reason why it’s always dead.

If I wrote this review 4 years ago it would have been 5 stars easily, unfortunately they have gone down hill. I went here with my parents and we each ordered filet mignon. My father was content with his, my Mom couldn’t finish half of hers and I was left unsatisfied. To be blunt it just wasn’t good, the average pub makes better steaks and this was $ 35 for 6oz of meat. You could tell the cut was good, the chef just didn’t know how to use a skillet. It came out like a microwaved piece of meat. The servers were very nice and very slow… Apparently 3 tables is a busy night for them now. It’s a shame because 4 years I would have said this is one of the best places to get a steak.

Shocking but true. Delicious burger. Large and cooked perfect. Medium rare. Lots of taste. Fries were also great. Crunchy but thick steak fries. Better than Westchester Burger in my Kisco or white plains. We are in bar as the dining room was scary empty. First visit even for us and we live only a few miles away. Next time we crave a burger we are going here. No atmosphere but great burger!!!

I first ate at Marc Charles for a lunch meeting. I had the wedge salad and crab cakes. It was very good. I went there several more times within a 6 month period. Everything I tried was good.

So here we are at LaQuinta… looking for a place to eat… the menu in the room has pretty decent sandwiches and the Unilocal reviews look good, so we decide to give it a shot. We ordered from our room as a take out order… we ordered«The Club» and the«Texas Chicken». Firstly, the room menu said The Club was $ 11 and the chicken $ 12 but when we picked the order up — the itemized bill said $ 13 each. What’s up with that? They told us 20 — 25 minutes for it to be ready — we got there 20 minutes later and when we got to our room and opened them up mine was so soggy I couldn’t even use the bottom bun… nothing was hot. If it was only going to take 10 minutes, tell me that rather than letting it sit out. With the sandwiches you have a choice of fries, sweet potato fries and cole slaw. I went for the sweet potato fries… yuck…greasy, limp, sweet potato fries with absolutely no salt whatsoever. Who serves fries without salting them? The club was ok, but nothing more… We should have gone out for pizza.

The Marc Charles Steakhouse, which lets you know the minute you walk in that it is Zagat rated and highly regarded by the local press, is already at a disadvantage since it occupies the first floor of a La Quinta Inn. But aside from the odd location, the atmosphere is warm and plush, and the food is decent. And even if the service seemed a little strange and bumpy, overall the five of us who were there(family plus the BF) seemed to have a good time. I started with the MC Crunch Salad: a bowl of romaine and lceberg topped with tomatoes, avocado, bacon, and fried onions(way too many of them). It tasted like something I would have ordered at Burger King. The BF’s salad, with arugula, pear, gorgonzola, and a port wine vinaigrette, tasted much better(with the ingredients far less overpowering). For dinner, I ordered the filet. It was cooked well and the steak itself was tender and flavorful. However, the crust was way too salty, as was the bernaise sauce that I ordered to put on top of the filet. No matter how much wine I drank or other food I ate, it was so hard to finally get the salt flavor out of my mouth. As for the sides we ordered(sauteed bok choy, creamed spinach, potatoes lyonnaise), the bok choy was the best. The creamed spinach was good but pretty standard. The potatoes, in my opinion, didn’t have quite enough of the«lyonnais». And when dessert finally came through, the five of us all picked at a Chocolate Explosion Cake, which was kind of dry(despite being surrounded by ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and caramel). Even though my food wasn’t the best, I got to try everyone else’s steaks at the table, which tasted much better. The BF’s New York Strip was really tender and delicious, and the Porterhouse, split between my parents, was terrific. I did find it odd, however, that weren’t served by a waiter, but instead a guy who was either the owner or a host(he was dressed differently than the wait staff). Also, the wine list, while extensive, did feature hand-scrawled vintages next to all of the wine. Why not just get the wine list reprinted? Overall, I think the Marc Charles is a good steakhouse with some major kinks that it needs to sort out. It needs to find a better location, needs to address some service issues, and needs to put down the salt when preparing the food. But it’s the kind of place you go with big groups to celebrate nice occasions. The fact that it’s also close to where most of its client base lives plus the fact that it can execute some its steaks really well also saves it. Bottom line: not the best restaurant in Armonk and not the best steakhouse in Westchester, but it definitely has the potential to rise up to that in time.

Went with a party of 8 for my day’s b’day. Expensive — about. $ 100 pp. Extremely salty food, very poor service. No refill of water or coffee. Waiters didn’t know who ordered what and had to ask when the food was brought to the table. My steak was overdone. My husband’s steak was cold. We had a good time because we were all together but I wouldn’t go back.

We had a small piece of fish each(sea bass) that was very over-priced for what it was… it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great… The vegetables that came with it were pretty poor… the tomato was completely tasteless and the asparagus was grey, soggy, cut into 1 inch strips and tasted like it was old/frozen… it certainly wasn’t fresh by any stretch of the imagination… Our friend had a steak which looked pretty reasonable and he said was OK. We also had a side of creamed spinach which again, was OK. We ordered the lava cake for dessert which was a microwaved chocolate sponge that had some liquid chocolate sauce poured into the center of it… pretty lame… Overall the food was of a low quality and not much imagination put into it… although the service was very good and our waiter was very friendly… We certainly wouldn’t rush back here…

Haven’t eaten here, but they have the best on tap beer selection of any hotel bar I have ever been in. Too bad it is in a LaQuinta which I will probably not stay in again.

Good beer selection. Menu features basic cuisine. However, each dish uses key ingredients which compliment the main component very well. On my next visit, I will try the bone-in filet. Stay tuned…

I am going to start with the only thing I didn’t like so i can finish on a good note, the location is not good. It attached to a La Quinta Inn and in not in a fun area, kind of a business park. Now on to the food! I went here during restaurant week and got way more than my money’s worth. They gave the restaurant menu and the regular menu, so I able to see my 22oz Porterhouse pork chop normally cost which was total of the 3 course special. I also tried my fiancé’s 18oz Tri-tip and it was awesome! Not sure when I will be going back, but something tell me it will be sooner rather than later.

I went to Marc Charles Steakhouse last night as a part of Hudson Valley restaurant week. Even though the restaurant week menu was limited the food was excellent. I had the porkchop which was massive and delicous. The only downfall of this restaurant is location. It is in a hotel in the middle of a business park. If you can get passed the location it is definately worth a trip to eat or have a drink at the bar.

As the Hudson Valley Restaurtant Week gets underway our first stop was to Marc Charles Steakhouse. choosing from the restaurant week menu we only had a choice of three appetizers, entrees, and desserts respectively. I had the diver scallops, tri-tip steak, and the bread pudding. My only regret was the bread pudding after seeing my freinds desserts come to the table. overall excellent food. The service was a bit slow but the chef made some fresh bruschetta for our table as we waited for our dinners to arrive, plus I was with friends so didn’t mind the wait as much as I might have otherwise.

I came here with a group of five for restaurant week. I’ll start by quoting my uncle who also had a reservation at the same time«Anywhere you can find a cheap steak these guys(My friends and I) will be there». The steakhouse is in a very off the beaten path location. The bar has a great assortment of beers on tap and a good wine list. It has a very lounge type feel to it with some big leather couches. The dining room is fairly small but very upscale and serene setting. The food was excellent. I had the Tri-Tip Steak, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and a wedge salad. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. I will be back to eat off the regular menu.

I now stay at La Quinta when I am in the area because of this restaurant. The beers on tap and the wonderful steak is worth the trip up. They have Kona Pipeline Porter and Goose Island on tap and both go very well with the food. Friendly and warm.

I didn’t even know of this place until I was reviewing the list of participating restaurants for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and wanted to try a new place. We took a chance and tried Marc Charles Steakhouse and we’re so glad we did! We had a really great experience and really enjoyed our meal. It’s not the best steakhouse around but it’s very good. We each started with a salad, which was great. The bread on the table was delicious and was served with an unusual but tasty butter(almost tasted like garden vegetable cream cheese). I had the flat iron steak and my husband had the porkchop. My steak was truly delicious, one of the better steaks I’ve had. I really enjoyed it. The pork chop was quite large and also delicious. We had sides of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach — very good. For dessert we each had the apple crisp. It was good, but not the best we’ve had. The deal for restaurant week was incredible! I got a 3 course meal for a few dollars less than the price of my steak alone on the regular menu. Overall, a great dining experience and a place we’d definitely return to. Try this place!

A Steakhouse in a LaQuinta? Stop laughing. And if you read my review of the LaQuinta, thanks for sticking around and don’t stop here. This is the other end of the spectrum. If you didn’t read my LaQuinta review, check it out for context. As I roll into the LaQuinta, I’m thinking… it’s raining and I have to get up very early tomorrow so let’s keep dinner close. A steakhouse can’t be too bad. This place was very good. Very good. I was greeted by 3 different, very friendly people within the first 5 minutes. I sat at a very nice table in the bar. It wasn’t loud or crowded. I was told I’d be able to order from the dining room menu too, but only saw the bar menu. This was good enough. I had the Gnocchi Christopher and a wedge salad(with Blue Cheese, because I’m eating everything that has the word Blue in it for the next month, wink). The Gnocchi description was spot on, but I didn’t get it, I was thinking tomato sauce. It ain’t tomato sauce. It is the most surprisingly delicious preparation of gnocchi that I’ve ever had. The sauce was a thick chicken broth that had chunks of garlic, spinach leaves, sun-dried tomatoes and a hint of sausage. The sausage is also on top of the gnocchi and worth a bite or two, but don’t waste much time there, as the chicken and gnocchi with the other ingredients are all you need to enjoy this dish to the end. The bread was very good and the wedge salad was, well, meh. I added a Spaten Oktoberfest and the evening was complete. The bad part is returning to my room for a short night’s battle with the bed bugs.
