This is the only place to get a good slice of pizza in the area. It’s better than SpinFire, Goodies, Bronx Pizza, Pete’s Pizza, Pizza Paradiso, Ledo’s, Lost Dog, etc. It’s about authentic as you can get to NY pizza.

It wasn’t as good as I hoped it to be. Especially having the NY in their name. Got a cheese slice and was content with the sauce, but they could have made a better job with their crust.

Having traveled and working a long day I checked into my hotel in Arlington and ordered a take out pizza. The pie arrived in a slid off pile of toppings like it was dropped or just miss handled. Now that’s not Wiseguy’s fault it the crappy outside deliver service that is to blame. Now there is more to the mishandling since all in this delivered disaster was $ 39 bucks. I called Wiseguy’s and the English challenged manager totally misunderstood mi dilemma. I made absolutely certain he knew who I was and he agreed to send a replacement pizza. The second never arrived in fact I ordered a couple Cokes and agreed to pay for them although the manager never offered a drink for free anyway. So I got more money ready because I expected a different driver. no new pizza near. y an hour waited and I’m eating cold messed up food for dinner. That kind of money could have gotten me a nice steak or a full blown Chinese feast. On a brighter note the cold screwed up pie had good crust and ample toppings so I couldn’t completely trash Wiseguy’s with under 3 stars. Do yourself a favor Unilocalers and don’t use the delivery service here.

The mushroom truffle slice is the best! The slices here are truly New York style slices. They also sell Junior’s Cheesecake and red velvet slices. The staff members are friendly and patient. Great establishment for adults and children when you just want a quick slice!!!

I came here after the Wreaths for America event with a few people from my meetup group and we were starving. So, the place is not that big – two tables that seat four people and a bar with about six bar stools. There is one bathroom but it’s clean. There are two smallish round tables out front with some chairs. I ordered a pepperoni and a margherita pizza while others in the group ordered the buffalo chicken, cheese slice and mushroom truffle. I really liked the pepperoni! It was close to the Brooklyn style pizza that I grew up eating. The margherita was disappointing – too soggy. It didn’t have the same crispiness as the pepperoni. I also overheard someone from my group saying that they preferred the pepperoni to the buffalo chicken. Personally, when it comes to pizza, I’m simple – I don’t want random toppings or flavors so buffalo chicken wouldn’t have appealed to me. The staff was friendly and patient. They didn’t have the price listed inside(unless I didn’t notice it). My bill came up to $ 10 and change for two pizzas and a bottle of water. If you have a taste for NYC style pizza instead of all of this gourmet stuff, give this place a try. 3.5 stars

Stumbled upon this gem after coming from a nearby office building. The location is convenient if you work in the area but if you are making a pit stop, it’s a pain. There is no parking and construction everywhere so you can’t really pull over. I hit the spot during lunch time so the line was towards the door. They need a better system bc the place is small so after you place your order, pay, you are standing around crowding the register and tables waiting. The pizza is delicious. I got a slice of cheese and topped it with the oregano, crushed red peppers, and garlic powder. They also carry JUNIOR’S CHEESECAKE!!! This is a must try if you are in NYC so i’m impressed they have it by the slice here.

I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. But the pizza is pretty tasty. I tried the mushroom truffle and(mistakenly ordered instead of the supreme) the godfather. The mushroom truffle was was sooooo delicious. I’ve been missing out! I wouldn’t really order the godfather again, although I accidentally ordered it this go round. Something about the tiny cubed ham pieces that reminded me of the tiny cubed pepperoni on elementary school pizza or tony frozen pizzas. The meat topping were good though, especially the sausage. Another plus about this place are the extras(do it yourself freshly ground Parmesan, oregano, Sriracha, garlic seasoning, and red crushed peppers). I will be back especially for that mushroom truffle pizza!

Listen folks, it was just aight! I got a grandma slice and it didn’t transport me to the delicious, crispy-yet chewy, garlicky memories of eating the same type of pizza at Alba’s Pizzeria in Briarwood, Queens as a yout’.(That’s youth for you non– New Yorkers and/or non«My Cousin Vinny» watchers.) I felt very meh eating it.(And it wasn’t the freshest either…) I’d get on the next Vamoose bus to NYC for a slice right now, if I could. *le sigh* Disappointment strikes again! I should have known better, but I continue to believe until proven wrong in my quest for delicious pizza in the DMV.

The location is a bit inconvenient but worth the visit. We had the garlic knots, and slices of plain cheese, margarita, and mushroom truffle. The margarita was a bit disappointing, but the mushroom truffle was really nice. There are a few other options that I have to try again and when I do, I’ll do a list of my personal recommendations from best to worst. As it stands though: Mushroom Truffle Cheese Margarita

Went late last night to the Rosslyn location. The location isn’t ideal for late night business due to all the construction going on so we were able to get a few slices right away. I got a slice of cheese and my boyfriend got pepperoni and slice of buffalo. Slices are pretty big which is good cause you get what you pay for. They have real grated Parmesan available for you to do yourself! And as we know, too much parmesean is never a bad thing I didn’t try the desserts this time but they did look good! Next time I’ll definitely have to try the red velvet cheesecake! YUM!

Another Wiseguy Pizza shop now located in Rosslyn! I am in heaven! My best friend lives above the Wiseguy downtown and it’s a requirement that I stop there for a slice. Delicious pizza and a great location since there aren’t that many places to eat in Rosslyn. Smart move Wiseguy Pizza! ;)

Delicious New York style pizza by the slice. They have lots of topping options, but unless you’re getting a whole pie, you’re limited by their combination choices. The margarita and plain are excellent, as are the mushroom truffle, chicken parm, and meatball. Not so into the granny slice. I’m a huge fan of the Wiseguy in DC, but the pizza at this Arlington outpost wasn’t quite as good. I don’t know quite what the difference was, but the crust wasn’t quite right here.

This review is for the CHOCOLATECHIPCOOKIES O N L Y: Surprisingly, Wiseguy Pizza makes the BEST chocolate chip cookies I have EVER had. One of our company-catered lunches was from Wiseguy and we got a platter of 30 cookies. I HADFIVE. I HADFIVE within a few hours. They are seriously so addictive, so chewy, so chocolate-chip-melted and soft. I would give up all other desserts just to have Wiseguy chocolate chip cookies forever. and ever and ever. Now for the pizza, 3 stars. But I’ve only ever had it cold because of take-out or catering. But I’ll definitely come and get hot and fresh pizza because I want more chocolate chip cookies. More more more moreeeeeee

My sister and I tried 3 slices — honey bbq, Mediterranean, and Margherita, which was the winner. It has fresh sauce, real mozzarella, and whole basil leaves. The Mediterranean had all the toppings in the middle of the pie, so it made the slice a bit soggy. Otherwise, good crispy crust after they heat it up for you.

Delicious New York-style pizza. We tried a slice of margherita, a slice of Mediterranean and a slice of honey barbecue. For me, the winner was the margherita. Crust was thin and crispy, and the sauce tasted fresh. I would have preferred chopped basil since whole leaves make it a little hard to eat, but no big deal. Loved the honey barbecue too. The toppings on the Mediterranean were delicious — onion, spinach, olives, garlic and feta — but It a little soggy, though. They also have a Boylan’s soda fountain.

I was thrilled to hear that Wiseguy, one of the best pizza places in DC, was opening in Rosslyn, where quality options are few and far between. This location is much smaller than their downtown DC location, and that’s saying something. There’s enough seating for about 8 – 10 people at most, so it is really a grab and go option. The lines can get quite long during the lunch rush, so go early or late if you don’t want to wait in a line outside the door. The pizzas are always fresh because they do so much volume. I generally go with a couple plain slices, which bring me right back home to NYC. Don’t forget to grab the oregano, garlic, and red pepper flakes!

I give it 4 stars. I had my first cheese slice today and was not disappointed, for me it lived up to all the hype. It was a big slice for $ 3. Like NY Pie, it was thin and very crispy with the proper chew and just the right balance of cheese, sauce and surface. Next time i’ll bring home a whole pie.

Small place with big slices! I came here for lunch with coworkers, or rather to «pick up» lunch since there is essentially seating for 6 – 8 people. New to the block, it’s already got a lunch rush. The line to order pizza was out the door but they kept it moving. The time from when we got there to when we left with our pizzas was maybe 15 minutes max. There are about a dozen or so options to choose from: with slices like Margherita, Mushroom Truffle, Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Parmesan, and classics like Cheese and Pepperoni, and Steak. I ordered the tomato based Backyard Veggie; loaded with peppers and onions, mushrooms, Kalamata olives, chili peppers, and grande mozzarella. It was evenly cooked, perfectly crispy and without any brunt spots. Next time I’ll try the square Grandma option. Definitely plan on returning in the near future for another weekday lunch!

Showed up during the soft opening to try out a slice. Rosslyn desperately needs a quick, take out pizza place for lunch and the location is great(in the old quiznos) I ordered a simple slice of cheese. They heat it for you after you order it so it comes out piping hot and melty. It was good but not mind blowing. Crust was a good combo of crunchy and chewy and it really does remind me of my days of eating slices in NYC. Unfortunately, at 3 bucks for a slice of cheese(pretax) and the fact you will need at least two slices to be full, the cheapest lunch there is basically 7 bucks for two slices of cheese all in. They offer a lunch special of 2 slices of anything and a drink for $ 9.50(or something around there). With tax, you’re talking about a lunch of OVER10 bucks. That’s absolutely not worth it for two slices and a fountain drink. Pizza was good, the specialty pizza might be worth a higher price point but this will not be a regular lunch spot given the price.

The heavens opened, the lights dimmed, and the angels sung glorious hymns of hope as Wiseguy Pizza had finally opened up their second location in Rosslyn. What was once a barren landscape of lunch possibility still remains as such, but there is now an oasis of deliciousness for all souls to go and get their fill of what is one of the best slices in the area. Now, I know, you’ve been through it all before. So many places and so many promises of a New York slice, but Wiseguy actually pulls it off. Their slices are thin and crispy, and the cheese is appropriately proportionate to the slice itself(not too much, not too little, juuuuuuuuust right). My personal favorite is their Buffalo Chicken pizza slice, with a bleu cheese sauced drizzled on making it a sinus clearing yet tasty delight. Their slices are also nicely priced, at 2.99 for a slice of cheese or 3.99 for a specialty slice. I went today, the third day of their soft opening with a limited menu, and there was a line at 11am. I stood and waited in the rain for a few minutes and I was rewarded for my efforts with swift service. While the line was a bit long, it went quick and the army of Wiseguy employees behind the counter were quick and efficient in taking care of everyone. Pretty impressive for only opening up this week. Wiseguy, welcome to the neighborhood, myself and my 300 coworkers owe you so much for dramatically improving the lunch scene here. «I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship». Kidding, I know it is.
