So let’s break this down. 1) Student discounts are for UTASTUDENTSONLY. I showed my student ID from an accredited school in Texas. I understand the café’s policy, even if I find it personally weird. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have whipped out my ID. What I don’t appreciate is the cashier woman adding, «We can’t just accept students from all over the world.» Okay. Thanks for the opinion! 2) The Thai tea comes pre-made and in a bottle stored in the fridge. Maybe this is what most, if not all restaurants do! But seeing that bottle grabbed out of the fridge in plain sight made me rethink my order. Which brings us to… 3) When I asked to remove the drink from my order, the woman huffs, puffs, angrily taps at the register while muttering, «I don’t have time for this.» Keep in mind, she swiped my card before she made me my drink; I didn’t even HAVE the drink in hand. Furthermore, the whole affair made me, my friend, and I assume the three other people standing in line hugely uncomfortable. The silence in the two minutes that she took for this awful affair was deafening. 4) The food was good, considering it’s take-out. Is it good enough to return to that appalling customer service? NOPE.

The delivery was a lot faster than they said, and the food is really good and in good portions!

I ordered grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl with lemongrass and one order of spring rolls. Five stars for presentation; cucumber, carrots, lettuce, sprouts were all segregated with a hot and sweet sauce on side. Grilled Shrimp had a distinct flavor. It tasted really good. Peanut sauce with spring roll was fresh and homemade. I had to wait a bit longer to get my take away… But it was worth it!

My homeslice ordered the beef and broccoli stir fry. She is gluten free, so she ordered rice noodles with hers. She said it was bland, had to add red pepper flakes and soy sauce, then she stated the flavor«wasn’t too bad». I ordered chicken fried rice(spicy) and a side of veggie spring rolls. The rice was spicy, but not enough for your eyes to water. Which was fine for me. There was not a lot of chicken, there were big slices of carrots and pieces of broccoli, egg, onion, and the usually peas. It was spicy hot, yet bland. The spring rolls only got one bite and went straight to the trash. The only reason it got 3 stars was because the service was fast and the food was hot when I got to work. The total for 2 lunch entrees and appetizer was about 22

Poor service, the place was filthy and under staffed. The man forgot that we had ordered drinks and I had to remind him 3 times before we got fed up and left. Will never come back here again.

Really good and filling food. The gentleman at the counter who also delivers at times is a sweetheart. I love the egg rolls… probably the best in arlington till date.

This place serves a combination of Italian and Vietnamese food. I originally planned to have dinner at Shojimoto, but alas, they closed at 5 pm on Wednesdays. I peered inside the Vietalia and saw the menu — pizza, steam rice, egg roll — what? I decided to go inside and ordered vermicelli. The price is reasonable, and you get 10% discount when showing current UTAID. The wait was long though since only one lady was serving and other staff are on delivery duty. Finally the food came and it was good with a generous portion of veggies. I got 2 pieces of shrimps and several pork slices in the vermicelli — which is reasonable based on the price. Will be back to try the other menu!

From all the positive reviews, I’ve been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Well, today is the day. Went there with 2 other colleagues. When we got there around 1p, the place is much smaller than expected. I think there are about 6 or 7 tables or so. There were 2 people in front of us ordering take-out, and one other table of 3. Our food came in about 10min. I had the combination phở, and 1 of my colleague ordered the pork bahn mi and another odered the beef phở. The soup in general tasted fine. As it was cold today, the heat of the soup felt good, but it wasn’t anything unique. 2 things I noticed about my phở was that there were finely chopped onions, but no cilantro? Also, the phở noodles were broken or cut, rather than the typical long noodles that they should be. At home, I’ve made my own phở occasionally. I know from cooking the phở noodle, it should only be one time. As you reheat the phở noodles more than once after they initially cooled off, the noodle looses it’s elasticity, which is what these tasted like. The noodle tasted like left overs, which was unfortunate. Of all ingredients, the noodle is probably the cheapest and easiest to maintain as it’s store bought I’m sure. If it’s not fresh, or been cooked already, they should have just toss them away.

I’ve been here 6 – 7 times over the past three months. Having so many different items on the menu, you would think that it would be difficult to manage quality between all of them, but every meal I’ve had at Vietalia had been delicious. If you’re planning on getting the curry clay pot and want something that tastes more authentic, ask for extra spicy. The only way I think they could improve would be on the customer service side. I’ve been here a couple of times where I’m pretty sure that the cashier was angry or unhappy about something. This was not the case the last time I was there though. This place sincerely has the ability to change people’s minds about fusion restaurants and to become a staple in Arlington.

We were debating whether or not we wanted Italian or Vietnamese. Out of all the places that served Vietnamese or Italian food, my cousin decided to take us to Vietalia. I have to admit that I was very skeptical about the food at first, especially during the long wait for my food to arrive. I ordered chicken alfredo, my sister ordered chicken parmesan, and my cousin ordered Vietnamese noodle soup. While I did not have a taste of theirs, the visuals for their orders were great, and they liked it. My chicken alfredo was also tasty. I remember being given some complimentary bread as well. Funny how it tastes better than the chicken alfredo at Pronto Cucinino, a casual Italian restaurant in Houston. Great place for the indecisive.

I love going here for a quick, inexpensive lunch. One of the staff members, Lee, always provides great customer service. The vegetable vermicelli bowl is my favorite. It is refreshing with both stir fried and fresh veggies. The veggie and BBQ pizzas are also good. Whatever I try on the menu is always freshly made and good.

Small, cool, place, that serves both Vietnamese and Italian food as the name implies. Both are superb and I’ve enjoyed everything on the menu that I’ve tried here. I visit very often. It’s a nice place to go for two but I wouldn’t recommend it for a large group. Their dine in area, while charming, is quite small.

Alright Vietalia is a little unconventional but worth a try. Interesting blend of favorites although they didn’t seem to do anything particularly well. Perhaps I need to go back and try something else on the menu, but it wasn’t necessarily good or bad just… Alright. Would recommend, based on the service alone.

With so much variety on the menu I should have walked away: gentrified ban-mi, burgers, pizza, phở, Chinese and Vietnamese dishes on there these folks were either masters of all or none. I ordered two ban-I’m sandwiches: beef and pork lemongrass. At $ 4.50 each I expected more that what I usually get at the Vietnamese sandwich places in east Arlington. Well, no, I got what I would pay a lot less for: under-filled sandwiches. These I enjoy when I pay less for, but at this price I was expecting more. Oh well. After a few bites of the first sandwich I combined the fillings from it into the other and then true enjoyed this delicious creation. Boba Tea was tasty too.

4 stars for me mainly because they are located by UTA and they also deliver on campus pretty fast. Free delivery over $ 15, which is like 2 items so thats not bad. Phở is good and so are their sandwiches. Only thing I wouldn’t recommend is their boba… food wise everything I’ve had there has been pretty good!

I detest writing bad reviews about mom-and-pop small businesses, but their terse, apathetic, «I’m doing you a favor» attitude seriously pushed me to the edge. The side veggies that came with my phở were disgusting. I got a lemon instead of a lime.(Pic) The phở and Thai tea were sooo good, BUT I don’t know why my thai tea took 45 minutes for my thai tea, and nearly 30 for my phở. Especially since we were the ONLY people in there. But what really bothered me, is halfway through my meal when I asked for my drink, the clerk behind the desk said«yeah, it’s coming» then turned around dismissively. There are like 15 Vietnamese restaurants on Cooper alone, don’t act like your food is a commodity.

I ordered the chargrilled sliced pork banh mi. My wait was longer than expected for a sandwich, but it seemed like they were low on staff. The meat was flavorful. Vegetables were fresh. I was disappointed in the baguette itself. The bread wasn’t buttery or toasted; it was more chewy to me. However, I will be coming back to try other items from their menu.

They offer a UTA discount with a student ID on orders over $ 5(: They have a minimum charge of $ 3 to use credit card, as well. This place is so close to campus. Very convenient, and they deliver, too! The banh mi is $ 3, which isn’t too bad. In all of the entrees I have ordered, they haven’t skimped on the meat. The portions are reasonable, but the lo mein doesn’t look at plentiful as bethany’s. It’s definitely not as greasy though. I recently had the carbonara pasta which was filled with chicken and creamy Alfredo. They charge $ 1 for extra mushrooms. I also had the chargrilled chicken vermincelli, which also had plenty of chicken! It was pretty good. The fish sauce wasn’t smelly. Some guy came up to me in the library and actually said my food smelled good! Really?! Fish sauce smells good? lol I had the alfredo pizza a long time ago, and I remember it was a little greasy, but it was delicious(: I did have to dab some of the oil off though… My friend had the lo mein, and yeah, the box didn’t look that full, but she enjoyed it. She finished and said she wished she had more though… She was hungry not too long after lol Overall, if I get hungry at school but don’t have food with me and don’t want fast food, I’ll probably stop by. Pretty convenient.

This place is so tiny. I obviously didn’t read through the Unilocal reviews thoroughly so I wasn’t prepared for that. Lol. I wish they had more than one table of regular height(the rest are those high tables with stools). The cashier was very friendly. We got egg rolls, a chargrilled pork banh mi with fries, and a chargrilled chicken banh mi(no cucumber or cilantro) with fries. The eggrolls tasted hot and fresh. The flavor of my pork banh mi was delicious… my only complaint was that the bread was a little too crunchy. I tasted the chicken banh mi, and the bread seemed softer. So I assume the too-crunchy bread is not the norm. The fries are fine… they’re «just fries.» I wouldn’t get them next time we go. But the banh mis are definitely worth another trip!

Vietalian surprises in a big way! It was a nice surprise to get such respectable Phở in an Italian-Vietnamese restaurant. I was expecting fusion, but both are served very traditionally. The place is small, bright, and clean. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and pleasant. Very diverse menu with all the staple Italian and Vietnamese dishes. I love both, but I came in with Phở on my mind today. I ordered the Chicken Phở with both white and dark meat for a little added flavor. The regular bowl is rather large and deep. The broth was clean, yet fully flavored. The rice noodles were perfectly tender. The chicken was cooked well. The dish of bean sprouts, basil leave, and lime were fresh. Looking forward to my return visit to try more of the menu.
