Terrible service. The restaurant itself was hot inside. I ordered a salad and it was warm and swimming in flavorless dressing. The waiter was short and uninterested that we were there. We were the only people in there and it took and hour and half from start to finish. We ordered 3 rolls a salad and side of rice. Sushi was decent but overpriced and had me questioning the safeness of it especially after the salad showed up warm. We will not be back.

It’s really the only place to get your sushi fix around. And the sushi is good. But it is overpriced and the service is reliably bad. Usually only one, harried and frustrated waitress who does not batch tasks– seems very disorganized. And has NO problem making you wait at at every opportunity. I wish their service was better. The sushi chef seems nice.

First let me start by saying the food was good. What we ordered we liked and we even ordered seconds… the two stars is solely based on service on our dining experience. There were 4 adults and 2 kids in our party. We waited to be seated for about 5 minutes before we were greeted and sat, the server dropped us at the table and didn’t return for at least 10 minutes if not 15. He took our full order and only brought 4 settings when we needed 5 and we never got that 5 after asking. We waiting probably 15 minutes the our pot stickers arrived and bout 20 minutes later the food. We asked for napkins water, and another cup and when he came back he brought all but the cup. This was the only time our water was refilled. He never checked on us, asked how things were, nothing… and when he dropped things off he rushed it down, and if we Tried to ask for something he acted annoyed. We ordered additional food, which took 30 minutes, and we got less than previous. We asked for our check when he dropped the food and then hurried out. Over all it took and hour and a half to have dinner, a Sushi dinner, with very poor service. It’s too bad because the food was good. But we won’t be back.

Not a fan. Sushi was decent I guess, but I expected better for how much they charge. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and they brought out my food pretty quick!

My family and I dropped in at 7, and the place was moderately busy. There were open tables, but the waiter waited for a while to come by and seat us. We were seated for a while before the waiter even brought us menus. Finally, after about 15 more minutes, we were able to order. Then the wait. We sat there for another hour and a half waiting for our food. My 4 and 8 year old were with us. It would have been nice if they had mentioned there would be a wait, let alone that we would get our food just barely under 2 hours after walking in. Almost everyone was gone by the time we got our food and it was not that good. The waiter was throwing plates as he bussed them, and even broke one. I asked for some more wasabi, and the waiter seemed to make a point to find 10 other things to do before getting it to me, including locking up. We were quite polite the whole time, I couldn’t understand why we were treated this way. I won’t ever go back, that’s for sure. I feel like this was a neighborhood place that doesn’t like people they don’t know or something. Think twice before dropping in like I did.

I used to hate sushi, but Jay made me love it. I highly recommend just going in and sitting at the sushi bar and let Jay pick what he feeds you. You won’t regret it! We will drive an hour up to Arlington just to eat here! I haven’t eaten much from the kitchen, but the sushi is outstanding.

The sushi is always so fresh, delicious and artful! We ordered a platter to serve at our«Asian themed» Monday Night Football party, which was also my husbands’ birthday celebration. Jay presented a beautiful platter with just the right mix of variety. My daughter and son in law ordered the platter, they frequent the restaurant and Jay knows their likes, and he included a few surprise rolls. Some reviews say the service is slow, well perhaps they should just sit back, slow down, relax and enjoy. We have always had terrific meals and service! Give them a try, you will be glad that you did!

Seriously a great little find. You can tell by the sheer amount of customers it’s gonna be good. When I was sitting there I realized the restaurant is full of regulars. Like people that come here several times a week. I wish I lived closer to join that crowd!!!

What a disaster. A month after I had fallen victim to a horrific scam at the nearby Peking Palace, I assumed that a Japanese restaurant might be an improvement over a Chinese restaurant. In truth, this place is just as bad, if not worse. I think I’m staying away from Arlington for food because I have had so many bad experiences with the restaurants here. Let’s start by saying that I declined to order anything from the dinner menu because I didn’t want to shell out more than twenty bucks here; that price I did not feel was reasonable for a sushi restaurant of this caliber. So I ordered a king salmon entrée, slightly less expensive at $ 14.99 but not a price to take lightly, either. They brought me a bowl of salad drenched in vinegar. More accurately, this salad was swimming in vinegar. It was really a bowl of vinegar with a small salad floating around in it. If you think I’m kidding around, look at my before and after pictures of the salad and you’ll see what I mean. Somehow, half a cup of vinegar was left over. The next major problem here is the king salmon entrée itself, which is absurdly small for fifteen dollars. See for yourself in my pictures. I’ve had more food served to me at teriyaki restaurants for half that price. Two small pieces of salmon, one small clump of rice, some inedible salad, all drenched in teriyaki sauce. This simply is unacceptable. To top it all off, they did not include any bowl of miso soup that they had promised on the menu. Fifteen dollars after tax and tip is nearly twenty dollars; I should not have to leave so hungry after coming in for dinner and paying such a crazy amount for the promise of decent food, only to be left disappointed. I’m going somewhere else for my food; there’s very little chance that other restaurants will leave me so badly cheated.

I was sweating my balls off. It was so freaking hot in here. May 5th nice weather I get it but I mean cmawn. The food was ok I wouldn’t order the sushi ever again. I’m biased cause I’m Japanese lol! The service was stifling and everything took forever. The rolls were smaller then usual compared to other places. The good was good enough to keep this place from a 1 star. Steer clear if you have high hopes.

There are two Tokyo Houses! Unilocal doesn’t seem to show that they are different. Tokyo House in Everett is awesome, Tokyo House in Smokey Point/Arlington is horrible!

Sushi in Arlington! Friend of mine lives up that direction and drag me in one night what a pleasant surprise. I’ve been in the fish industry for 20+ years, I know Sushi ! Jay makes very tasty sushi it’s a little slow, husband-and-wife team but the rewards are great for the patient people.

The best Sushi around! The sushi chef is great and fun to talk to. The service isn’t very fast as the staff is limited, but friendly. The Mexican roll is the best!

We went there for lunch Cajun alligator Rainbow Shrimp tempura Soft shell crab(appetizer) Hot sake Hot tea All of our food was good. I would go back again, it’s near my home and I don’t have many complaints of the food. My tea cup way WAY to hot to even hold. I felt the server had an attitude of sorts. He was not friendly at all. Not a good way to be inviting to new customers. Also, the signs stating that they prefer cash??? You have to be kidding me! Everyone prefers cash, it’s just not the reality of this day in age. I will probably order out from here but most defiantly not eat in the establishment again.
