My husband praised Perfect Pita, so now that I work above one, I had to try. I ordered the steak hummus veggie pita first, and on another occasion, the gyro. The proportions are great; you can eat a ton but with the nature of the ingredients, not feel horrible about what you just ate. The taste it great. The hummus isn’t just ordinary hummus; it has a unique taste that stands out in my mind. The only downside to this one and the other in Crystal City is that there’s very little sitting room, so I take my food back to the office.

I have tried this place several times. I am always disappointed. The gyro is dry and there isn’t very much meat on the sandwich. It is overpriced considering what you get.

Not bad, not good, just a basic place for lunch. The hummus provided does not have a lot of flavor.

The food is good, quick and not too expensive. I come often and am always pleased. They always make the food as asked(no tomato, extra spinach, whole wheat) and have never screwed up through multiple visits. That wins big points from me. Did I mention that the pitas are tasty? My favorite is the Gyro Hummus Veggie(no tomato, extra spinach, whole wheat)

Got the falafel. It was tasty but just wasn’t enough to score a five star review. Would definitely stop again to try something different.

The place advertises being open until 5pm, leaves the doors open until 5, but stops serving food before 4:45. The look of disgust from the woman at the counter when I walked in at 4:45 told me everything I needed to know. «Kitchen is closed». Some gentlemen walked in behind me and were turned away looking for coffee. Post your hours and stick to them, barring some kind of emergency.

I was in the area for a work trip and my company ordered from here in one big to go order. It came very quickly and the food was great! I couldn’t decide between two things so my coworker and I split them! We got the gyro and the chicken hummus veggie pita. Hands down the chicken hummus veggie pita was the BEST! The hummus and feta with the veggies really set it off. It was so good, and since I live in Baltimore I will definitely be missing/craving this particular pita in the future. The gyro was just ok, I have had better, and the small amount of tzatziki on the side was a little disappointing. But to be fair, I think I have an unhealthy love for tzatziki in general, I could put that ish on everything!

Yes, I realize this is a chain — but this was the first time I had ever heard of the place thought i’d check it out. So I came here twice., and… well think its about a 2.5 stars or so. The first time I came I ordered the falafel pita– it was not too bad but average relative to most other places i’ve been too. It was not very exciting and pretty standard — the pita itself was different and the falafel, veggies and tahini were not too bad. I could potentially see myself grabbing it again if I was craving a falafel sandwich and there were no other options. The second time I got the prepared Mediterranean mix salad — which includes hummus, red pepper hummus, white bean salad, and lettuce with feta and two stuffed grape leaves served with their«perfect pita». Again, very basic in flavor and substance and was not really too impressed — not satisfying at all quite frankly. So I am not sure I would come again — I may head back to grab the falafel or gyro pita but honestly, I would rather wander a bit further and grab something else.

I would not give this place a star at all. I have had better chicken gyro and sad part is I could have had a better meal. Wasted my 7 dollars and time. I also had a appetizer meat balls it had no taste. Never again.

Best way to describe the gyro I had is: Meh. Good size, decent price, and nothing that stands out. Its supposed to be perfect, yet they neglected to season the meat. Very underwhelming overall.

Again, how do you rate a chain? The food is what you’d expect from any Perfect Pita. The service is above average. The woman behind the cashier always remembers me and knows my order(the gyro lunch combo with no tomato). The best thing about this location is that it’s across from an amazing bubble tea place(Go there and get their bubble milk bubble tea).

First, I have to tell you how awesome I think Lubna is. She’s been at the register, for at least, the past four years and she’s wonderful. She remembers regulars and their orders with ease and always has a smile on her face. Even was she was sick and going through chemo. She’s a superstar! The jalapeño hummous ranks among my favorites. I appreciate how cheap and delicious their navy bean soup is. I think it’s hilarious that it’s called the Soup of the Day… as if it is different on other other days ending in y. The breakfast sandwiches are great and around $ 2, depnding on the size. Seriously can’t beat that in this area. The other places make a killing and these sandwiches are perfectly portioned and priced. I dig their chicken hummous veggie pita sandwich. I do not get it with provolone because I can’t hang with the dairy, but it is also strange to me to have that on a sandwich smothered in hummous anyway. Their salads are solid, albeit a little heavy on the onions sometimes.(You’d better make sure you have some gum or mints on standby the day you feel like having a Zorba salad!) I love the salad sampler, although I think it’s priced a bit high. They also have my favorite chips– Route 1’s Mama Zuma’s revenge. I haven’t had it in several years, but I’m not particularly crazy about their falafel. But, sometimes, you just want some falafel and you sure aren’t gonna make it yourself.

Pretty decent pita place, but nothing spectacular. I like that they serve lunch-type foods all day(especially in the morning). I ordered one of their hot sandwich signature pitas — namely, the chicken and cheese pita, which came with marinated sliced chicken breast smoothered in provolone cheese in a pita with lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise. It was pretty delicious and reasonably-priced. I would certainly be back.

I had the chicken caesar in a pita. It was excellent — a little to much lettuce, just the right amount of chicken. This is not a place that I would«crave» to have food from. If I didnt feel like walking outside of the building, I would go here.

I’ve had an affair with the Crystal City Perfect Pita for about 3 years. Whenever I go underground I have a fight in my head about what I’ll pick up to eat. This place is always on that list, as I love their Hummus Veggie Pita! It’s wonderful, and can usually be split into a shared meal, if need be. My only disappointments are that a pita w/o protein, and a combo of a bag of chips/bottle drink costs $ 9. Oh, and watch out as the hummus will get all over you, and they only provide you 1 pathetically tiny, thin napkin.

The Perfect Pita is not so perfect. Went there for the falafel. Very disappointing. At least it was super cheap. Maybe I just like unhealthy things?

Literally have eaten here 5 consecutive work days. Best hummus I have ever eaten. Jalapeño hummus is awesome. They have roasted red pepper, black bean, olive, jalapeño, and regular. Quick grab and go spot for people who work here. I also go to town on the sample tray while waiting for my pita. Could use seating and a dining area, but I don’t think any of their locations follow that model. If you love hummus, hit any perfect pita.

I go here a few times a month for lunch and love it for four reasons: (1) It’s healthy (2) Filling (3) Under $ 6.00(most Pitas) (4) Hardly a wait, and very quick service. I love the hummus veggie on non-food coma days and the Chicken and Steak special for a good power meal. They also offer breakfast but have not tired this yet. Review to come! Note: This place is hardly visible from Crystal Drive and tucked away behind the courtyard/seating lawn. However, this Perfect Pita is not to be confused with the one that is underground.
