Delicious. I cant believe how good this place is. I get the wilson salad and broad sandwich… very tasty. I recommend. Also love that its super clean.

I’m from Philly and their cheese steaks here are as close to philly as you can get! Two thumbs up!

Ugh pains me to rate three, but after tonight’s awkward and horrible food I had to. I am a level up member and have spent a good chunk of change here, favorites are the race and(hangover friendly) cheesesteak. However tonight I wanted a sandy at 8pm and wahla walk across the street and order the seasonal Memphis and risotto balls. Upon walking in seemed like the«team» was arguing over someone leaving, the balls were half frozen and the sandwich smelled of someone’s cigarette hands– for 14 $ I threw it away and feel sick I won’t be coming back to cash in my 5 $ credit anytime soon, sadly :(

After seeing all the awesome hoagie pics and checking out the website I was totally excited to come try it out. I was even happier when I realized they had opened right by my office, I made plans for coming back to try all the sandwiches and all. I ordered two sandwiches so I can split with my friend and try both, one cheesesteak and one vine. I asked for no prosciutto on the vine. I was surprised that he took note of it and still didn’t omit it. It wasn’t busy at all, so I was kinda disappointed by the lack of attention on that one. So I only ended up trying the cheesesteak which was kinda disappointing. Too greasy, and not the kind of grease that comes from cheese or mayo, just meat grease. So it’s been more than 8 hours and I am feeling like I am 100 pounds heavier. I may try this again but not at this location.

It was alright! Not super great but not bad either. I had the vegetarian hoagie and I have to say that they did the broccoli really well. It had some spice to it. I enjoyed it. But overall not mind-blowing for a $ 9 hoagie.

The quality and service is consistent across all Taylors. Like other locations, the Ballston Taylor has become a neighborhood spot that’s frequented by both weekday lunch-goers and local residents. The portions are good and they come up with a creative combination of ingredients. My go-to sandwiches are the Pattison(pork, broccoli rabe, provolone) and Cherry(roast beef, brie, arugula) — don’t forget to add the hot peppers! The service is friendly, but quite slow during the last couple times I visited. Not sure if it was just the weekend team or if their food prep is not as efficient as other locations.

Service is with a smile and the sandwiches are as it says, gourmet. The fact that it’s in the neighborhood and so close is really nice. It’s fast food so your food will be ready quickly. Not much to say than its a nice sandwich shop.

Wow. I just got these guys to cater and I went for the veggie sub. Delicious! It actually had falafel in it rather than just the boring lettuce, cheese and tomato combo. And some pickles. Really tasty. Very fresh crusty bread. I’m going to check out the actual deli next week for sure. Could become my go to lunch venue(I am working here for a few months).

Awesome place!!! I stepped in just looking for a salad and was met by an incredibly nice crew, Edith was great! They helped me pick out something on the menu, and the salad was beefy enough to leave me satisfied and wanting more! Will definitely continue to return to Taylor!

I love Taylor Gourmet’s sandwiches and salads. I ordered for delivery and the estimated time was 77 min, but I got my food hot in less than 30 min. My ONLY comment that isn’t overwhelmingly positive is that there wasn’t an option to order the soup for delivery, so I have not yet tested their soups.

I’m ashamed to say that I eat here at least 5 times a week… Why Taylor? Why did you move into my building?! My favorite time to go is when my now friends Edith, Wendy, Ana and the gang are working at night. They always greet me by name and make one of the best sandwiches in NOVA!

The chicken salad sandwich was delicious and a must try. The bread was hard though, and they ran out of the soft white so don’t know if that is better. Also the sandwich is messy.

Taylor deserves 4or 5stars for what it is. It is a sub and salad shop that hits it out of the park on every Order. The staff is friendly, the place is always clean, and the food is made extremely fast to order. The food selection changes«a bit» with the seasons. But if you’re in the area try the risotto balls, or the federal. They have a specialty soda machine, try the sugar cane cola. Can’t miss spot for a quick lunch or takeaway

Really good food — fried chicken cutlets are delicious. Four stars though because it takes a while. We typically go for lunch on the weekends and it is typically good to carry out as long as you are expecting the wait. But we went today and had an embarrassing experience where they wouldn’t give my wife a drink with the children’s meal because the child wasn’t with her(he was with me in the car because there isn’t much convenient parking for the Ballston location). Just a weird policy, and the way the cashier acted made her feel like she was trying to steal or something. So I am marking it three stars for today’s poor experience. Update: manager responded to my email with respect and personal responsibility, said he would amend this policy. Four stars again for a great response.

I wanted to get out of my Sweetgreen rut so I stopped in for a salad. I selected the Wilson which comes with arugula, gorgonzola cheese, spiced almonds, dried cranberries and vinaigrette. As you can see from the picture, they inadvertently added some kind of grain-looking topping which actually balanced out all the sharp flavors and added a nice texture. The dressing was heavier than I preferred, but other than that the salad was yummy. On past visits I’ve ordered the Cumberland sandwich which contains chickpea fritters, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pepperoncini and a lemon mint tahini dressing, and is very tasty. The bread, however, isn’t anything special. I’ve also tried the gluten-free wrap, which is a bit sticky, but props to them for providing a gluten-free option. Unless/until I come across an amazing sandwich or salad, I don’t foresee myself being a regular here, but it’s a decent spot with lots of healthy options.

As a few of the reviews before me have so aptly described Taylor gourmet, I will be doing the same. MEH. When this TG first opened up in Ballston I heard high praise from everyone that had been there and I finally had a chance to get over there myself. My first experience was NOT a good one. I remember I got the Ben Franklin(chicken, cheese, marinara) and was super disappointed. We had it to go and when we got home(7 minute drive) the marinara was cold and the bread soggy. I gave it another shot last night and ordered the Ben Franklin again because I was feeling a sandwich! Luckily this time when I got home the marinara was still warm but the bread seems to remain a mystery for Taylor Gourmet. I’m not sure what would possess someone to come here over any other generic sub place. I’d rather have Jimmy John’s from down the street by far. I’m sure I’ll get dragged back here at some point in the near future — not looking forward to it.

We FINALLY got a Taylor! Taylor makes the most amazing sandwiches! Sometimes it’s hard to remember what I’ve last ordered because they have ‘cool’ names. Also, their ‘cane cola’ BS is really annoying so don’t plan on enjoying the drinks. My girlfriend has a gluten allergy too, and they do gluten free wraps! AMAZING. Seriously I probably eat here 2 – 3 times a week. LOVEIT Note: get the toffee cookies!

I’ve been to Taylor Gourmet three times and I have mixed feelings. The first time I went ordered the broad– breaded chicken cutlet with broccoli rabe and provolone in a «gluten free wrap.» It was honestly terrible and I was still hungry afterwards. I decided to give the place another chance and try other things on the menu. The other times I ordered the Memphis raines parkway(chicken, spicy sauce, gorgonzola, kale slaw, Parmesan dressing) and a chicken salad sandwich(fall seasonal special) on the original sandwich hoagie which were significantly better options. I also ordered the risotto balls, butternut squash salad, and fall slaw. The risotto balls were a solid choice and very filling. Both the butternut squash salad and fall slaw were standouts, with delicious nutty and dried cranberry flavors. I would come back just for the sides, but the sandwiches are decent too, provided you stick with the more elaborate options. A side and drink added to a regular sandwich is $ 2.79 extra which is definitely worth it. Don’t choose the gluten free wrap accidentally like I did unless you are truly allergic to gluten. I also want to try the breakfast options, which are served all day apparently.

I’ve eaten Taylor’s hoagies(or sandwiches or subs or whatever you’d like to call them) three times now, but this was my first time visiting one of their locations(the other two times were catering orders at my office). It was a quiet lunch hour(granted, it was a cold and rainy Saturday afternoon), but the Ballston location is spacious, has a decent amount of seating, and is near the Metro station and mall. Service-wise, this location was pretty standard with any other fast food/fast casual operation, but you could definitely tell the high school adolescents they hired were much more into each other than into their jobs… As for the food, Taylor’s offers a very expansive menu of sandwiches, salads, and sides. What they lack in customizability, they make up for in cute sandwiches named after Philly landmarks and streets(as a Penn grad, I definitely found this facet appealing). But woe is the sandwich shop that charges ~$ 10/order and ends up serving you a hoagie that is not even on par with Wawa(how I miss my Wawa). Today, I ordered a regular Girard Avenue(roast pork, sauteed onions/peppers, provolone) and I ended up having a small sandwich on squishy bread. The meat lacked flavor beyond salt and the the cheese felt non-existent. It was definitely disappointing given my other two experiences with Taylor’s were much more positive. I’m not sure if it’s just this location or this particular sandwich, but I’d definitely skip Taylor’s next time and go to one of the many other available lunch options in the area.

Breakfast sandwiches served ALL day!!! Boom. I really like the Fillmont breakfast sandwich… real eggs over easy, bacon, cheese and arugula! It’s delicious and you know you’re getting quality ingredients. The sandwiches are definitely more than what you’d pay for at a subway but TOTALLY worth it. There’s even salads on the menu which I need to try next. The restaurant is industrial… concrete floors, wooden and metal seats that hover off the ground. There’s also outdoor seating. The only thing is I wish they opened just a little earlier on the weekends to get my hands on one of those awesome breakfast sandwiches!
