The delivery here is pretty good. For people living in the Arlington area who are maybe not feeling too great, don’t want to cook, and would like some good phở, I’ve found this place to be key. However, the food, in my opinion, isn’t good enough to warrant the price, so only 4 stars.

Good calamari appetizer & we also shared the excellent Hanoi Beef Noodle soup appetizer. Would have given 4 stars but they delivered our main course — the Saigon Grill — while we were only just starting the appetizer. The brought it back later when we were ready but it was clear that it just sat under a hot lamp for 20 minutes. Overall enjoyable good food with larger than expected portions and friendly service but order in stages if you want to space out your courses.

I enjoy getting a big bowl of soup with noodles and chicken in it, aka phở. They have a fish tank inside which adds to the décor of the restaurant. The summer rolls are also good which have shrimp, basil, and some asian stuff in it with peanut sauce. However, they could add just a little more chicken in there soup. Better yet, a few wontons in the soup would be a great addition. Wontons might not be Vietnamese, but I think it would take the soup to another level.

As many times as I’ve visited this little gem, It would literally be a crime not to convey the proper accolades. Two words Consistently Spectacular! Now mind you, I typically order the same items, Hanoi Vegetarian Phở soup and Crispy vegetarian spring rolls. Beautifully presented with fresh basil, bean sprouts and slices of jalapeño pepper There is something so absolutely comforting and intrinsically body, mind and spirit embellishing about the experience. Whenever a bit under the weather, suffering from the cold of winter or simply craving an infusion of goodness, this is my go to medicine. Also great is the Ginger salmon and the Veggi papaya salad.

Food was good. I ordered the sliced beef Phở and my friend ordered a salad with ginger dressing. Clean restaurant, friendly staff and affordable selections. My small bowl of Phở was only $ 10. Rice Paper at Eden Center puts more meat in their Phở but I also believe its about $ 15 so all things considered, I would visit Saigon Saigon again.

One reason for five stars, which is reason enough: THE phở. Since trying phở for the first time in a Vietnamese type diner in Seattle, I’ve compared everywhere since to that deliciously marvelous place. ***DAYDREAMS*** Okay — I’m back. The phở at Saigon Saigon is exactly what you need if you’re a fanatic like me. Also, you can get it to go. You know, for on a rainy Saturday afternoon or a weekday when you’re home sick from work with a bug. Anyways, I can’t comment on much of anything else. The service is superb, but the phở beats them out on that too.

I came here with a friend for dinner tonight. The atmosphere was super chill and there were a lot of wait staff so we were looked after very well. We order the vegetarian crispy spring rolls and they were very good! The sauce that comes with is excellent. And then we both ordered the phở. The phở was fine, but it wasn’t amazing. For $ 12 for a large bowl there wasn’t enough. I got the chicken which came shredded. The chicken was over cooked and petty tough but overall the soup wasn’t bad. I’ve just had better. The best part of the evening was the service. All the waiters were very attentive to us the entire time, even after our meal was over and we continued to chat at our table. I definitely plan to come back and try the Bibimbap.

The crispy pork vermicelli bowl is usually the way to go but I wanted phở so ordered a bowl with meatballs. I was skeptical at first but must say that it was appetizing. They have fresh bean sprouts and limes for your phở. Service is always good here and there’s never a wait.

Went here on a weekend trip to Washington, and it was great! I got the Bun Thit Nuong(Vermicelli with Grilled Pork), really delicious. Not the most authentic for Vietnamese in my opinion, but it was still good Restaurant design interior was nice and clean, service was quick and helpful, didn’t find anything to complain about Definitely coming back here if I visit Washington again

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Nice area for sitting, we were ableto sit at one of the booths. Our service was attentive and friendly. Started off with the spring rolls, the were very good and not too greasy like I’ve gotten at other Phô places. We got the Phở and beef Penang red curry. Enjoyed our meals very much. Pleasant experience.

Saigon Saigon filled my need for Spice and lemongrass on a windy day. I stopped in for lunch while shopping in the area, and was happy to see lemongrass chicken offered as a bento box. The bento included the main dish, rice, salad, and a spring roll. Many reviews mention high prices here, but the bento boxes are a good value at $ 11 – 12.50, and they gave me just enough of everything to fill me, and enough of a selection to make me want to try more of their menu. I thought i’d ordered a grilled chicken dish, but what arrived was chicken in a tasty lemongrass/ginger sauce. It turns out that both are available, so I even know what I’ll order next time! The space is very small, so I did feel a bit cramped on a cold day, surrounded by people and coats. Halfway through my meal I discovered the coatrack in the back of the restaurant. It is in the hallway to the pleasant restrooms. I’ll use it if I’m there again with winter gear. I did manage to finish up just as the family arrived with a stroller. Not sure how the staff arranged the seating for them, but I’m sure they made it work. Still, if you have problems with crowded spaces you might want to visit during an off hour, or ask for a booth so you can be away from the aisle. Saigon Saigon is on the same block as the Fashion Center at Pentagon City. While it isn’t easy to escape the mall, it is worth the short walk to find better food options.

This place is right near The Pentagon in the Eden section. We were in Washington on vacation and this place was very close to our hotel. Parking is on street but you can park in the back of the building as well. Vietnamese food is my favorite cuisine so naturally we had to give this a try. After coming in we were delighted to see this place was updated and modern. I ordered the rice and pork chop dish while kids had the phở noddles. I must say the presentation on how they plated was different. Looks good but had to taste it and it was delicious. The meat was marinated nicely and side salad was a nice touch. Overall, the meal was very good and I would come back if we’re in the area again.

Great lunch! They just started having new ramen bowel specials that are bigger then your head! You’ve gotta try one, you can ask to make it as spicy or mild as you want with whichever protein you’d like. Sushi is made to order and tasted fresh as well. Desserts are even good, Chocolate lava cake you must try! The staff is lovely and are very attentive. I haven’t had dinner here yet, but definitely would try.

This was a Perfect example of the beauty of Unilocal. My wife and I had been at the National Tree Lighting Ceremony. We exited after the tree was lite. We hailed a cab and headed to the hotel. During the ride we decided we wanted a bowl a PHO. Unilocal to the rescue. We located a well rated noodle house 1 mile from our hotel and gave the driver the address. The place was clean and nice. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The Phở was good BUT was from a prepared seasoning. Yes a high quality one but pre made still the same. The wantons we had for appetizers where made from frozen ones as well and where not that great. As stated the soup was good but we have definitely experienced better. We may never return but Unilocal worked great. Unilocal gave us a quick find that was except-able.

After spending most of the day outside this past Saturday, I was in serious need of a warm up, and my mind was 100% set on that warmup being phở. What else is better on a chilly December evening than a big bowl of noodle soup?! After attempting, and failing, to eat at Caphe Banh Mi in Alexandria(extremely crowded due to the festivities down there earlier in the evening), my boyfriend and I decided to try Saigon Saigon, which oh so conveniently, is right across the street from our apartment, and surprisingly, we had yet to visit there since moving to the area. Perfect opportunity to warmup and then have that warmth stay with us since we had a few hundred feet walk back to our apartment. We arrived around 7:30 and while it was decently crowded, there were tables available and we were kindly seated right away. The menu is pretty expansive with a variety of entrees in addition to the featured phở. I noticed most items were quite reasonably priced between $ 10-$ 15.I also particularly like that they offer two sizes(small and large) for the phở as I found the small to be the perfect size after sharing an appetizer. My boyfriend chose the large and was not able to finish it. For an appetizer, we started with the garden rolls, which are soft rice paper rolls filled with shrimp, pork, vermicelli, and vegetables served with peanut sauce, priced at $ 5.00. I didn’t feel like the protein was evenly distributed in the rolls. The rolls were served cut in half for 4 pieces and the second piece I consumed had no shrimp or pork in it at all. I really enjoyed the peanut sauce(very distinct and peanut-y flavor!) but thought the rolls, otherwise were quite flavorless. I would not personally order them again. Moving on to the phở-this was incredibly warming both inside and to my heart! The broth, which I always sample prior to adjusting to my tastes, was delicious and flavorful! I had the chicken noodle soup and my boyfriend had the beef combination. Both contained hearty portions of their respective meats and the noodles were soft yet not mushy. Service was passable but nothing more. Our water was refilled when needed, our plates were appropriately cleared, however we were never checked on after any food was delivered. That is not out of the ordinary though for most of my past phở experiences either. We both loved the phở and will absolutely return to enjoy it again!

Delicious spring rolls here! Orders grilled pork and spring roll with vermicelli noodles, and another dish called the imperial rice dish which is grilled pork, fried shrimp and meat patty and it comes with soup on the side. Both dishes are delicious and beautiful presented. Sorry no pics, maybe next time. The prices are expensive comparing to NYC/NJ but definitely worth a try. Parking is metered and off street.

Despite the lull in service, the food makes your trip worth while! Saigon Siagon is more than just a Phở place it has many different options for Vietnamese food. Fellow Unilocal Elite member, Megan C. and I tested this place out on Monday evening and much to my surprise I was blown away with the options, portions and flavors! Miss Megan and I couldn’t decide so we split everything. Here’s how it went down: +Garden Rolls– these bad boys were filled with pork, shrimp, spring noodles and lettuces. Though they were sticky and hard to pull apart, they were light and refreshing. Be sure to try the peanut sauce which was out of this world and extra peanuty! +Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli– this wasn’t my favorite, but I didn’t hate it either. I was intrigued by Vermicelli because I never had it before and the fact that it’s advertised as «lukewarm noodles» made me curious. Overall, the chicken was a little rubbery and not very well seasoned. +Red Volcano– heyo famous dish. This guy is advertised as «Absolutely a Must Try!!!» and when they say that, they aren’t kidding. This was bursting and full of flavor. If you are ready for a seafood adventure and want something with a little kick, this really is a must try! Thankfully, we had a Groupon for Saigon Saigon – nothing wrong with a good meal, great conversation at an inexpensive price. I think they offer deals pretty often and the Groupon stated that this deal NEVER expires; so really a win-win!

Came here a couple of weeks ago with mom while visiting DC. I’ve been coming to this Viet place for about 3 years now but this the first time I’m writing a review. Its few steps from LA fitness so I come here after a good work out. Its not a big restaurant but spacious enough to accommodate large groups. Sure, there’s an abundance of food choices within Pentagon Row but I always crave for a good Phở & Lemongrass dishes and this place has decent offerings. We started with 2 apps. Crispy Spring Rolls — it was actually not too greasy serve in 2 and Garden Rolls — rice paper roll was soft and fillings were fresh. Both of us ordered Yellow Noodle Soup with Shrimp &BBQ Pork. They offer a small size and large bowl but we just opted for small. Trust. the small bowl is more than enough for 1 person. The soup was hot, broth was tasty, good amount of shrimp and pork and rice noodles were al dente. DC /VA has plenty of vietnamese restaurants but this place is decent and conveniently located in Pentagon City area. Plenty of street and lot parking too. I will most likely keep coming back here because its reliable and food is consistent.
