Cute place! If you’re in the Somerville area definitely recommend stopping in. interesting pieces throughout the store.

I agree with Misty, this store stands tall and proud in the middle of quaint, historic downtown Arlington, a suburb of Memphis. And it should — it’s been around for generations, and it’s family owned and operated.
You’ll find the woodsy-​smelling interior filled with relics from the olden days — old magazines cased in plastic, pretty china plates and platters, reupholstered chairs, paintings, and antique jewelry.
You’ll even find an old Siamese-​mix cat sleeping in one of the chairs sometimes — he/​she seems to love a gentle petting.
If you creak up the old stairs to the top story, it’s a hardcore antique-lover’s dream. It’s basically like grandma’s attic, filled to the brim with old books, ledgers, records, and more.
There’s ‘penny candy’ at the front of the store to satisfy your sweet tooth, and new wares for sale like handmade soaps, lotions, pretty wind chimes, and pottery. You can rent out booths to sell your artsy wares — you pay a small percentage to the store for the space.
The whole place just takes you back in time. You can take a breather on the front porch in one of the big rocking chairs and watch the world go by – in the parking lot out front is where there you’ll find a lot of Arlington in April happenings and the occasional musical performance — it really encompasses old-​fashioned Southern charm.

S. Y Wilson and Company is the cornerstone of Arlington Depot Square. It is a locally owned business the is the heart of Arlington. Going inside is like going on a treasure hunt. The excitement of the «hunt» is half the fun for me. You never know what you might find. Some recent finds include a hand painted bench, an old Coca-​Cola sign and some fun silver jewelry.
The store is housed in an old building with front porch chairs. It’s fun to take the kids, look around and sit on the porch chairs.
