Definitely old school but we always have such a good time when we go! And who would have though the food here would be so good! Love the burgers and definitely recommend the pizza.

This place is classic! I don’t think they have changed a thing here since the 50’s. I came here to bowl with a couple friends and got our pick of the lanes because no one else was there which was kind of weird for a Saturday night. Anyway, they do have a full bar and food. Plus the staff was really nice. We had a good time!

Price: great. You get for what you pay for and more. Food: classic. Everything you want out of a burger place, plus pizza! Never had something bad there Overall: this place is great; great food, kept the alley in its original glory, awesome wait and cook staff, but every time I’m there when the owner is around my meal is ruined. His attitude seems pissy all the time, he talked to me very aggressively when I asked to sneak by for the bathroom, and no one should treat their employees so bad. I watched him chew out a bus boy for 10 minutes while my family and I tried to eat awkwardly. Just fire the kid if you have a problem with him. Don’t verbally assault him in front of your patrons. Honestly this should be a 5 star restaurant, however I wish whenever I saw the owner I didn’t turn around and walk out.

Truly one of my favorite places. GREAT food, GREAT service. Daily specials. Pizza is great, the whole menu is tasty and reasonable prices. Full bar, but family friendly. Fun to watch the bowling. They have a big outdoor seating area when the weather is decent and a big covered area if it’s not. One of the best places in town.

Great little place in the heart of Old Arlington. Food is good, waitresses are on point and very nice. My daughter and her friends go here and love it and always said there burgers are good. So we went the other night 2 burgers and basket of fries for 5 bucks!!! Great deal and the burger was yummy!!! Next time we go we are going bowling. Also I here they have a great skillet breakfast, I will update this after I have that.

This place has the best food and a great outdoor area they use when it’s nice. Keep in mind it’s not very big and gets very busy. So if you have a large group you might want to think twice or call ahead. Fun place to go!

Arlington may be a small town, but Rocket Alley packs a big punch. This is a vintage bowling alley with about 6 or 8 lanes. Full bar and an awesome food menu. Try the gutter ball. It’s pretty awesome. Staff is friendly and the place is pretty clean for being so old. Owners did a great job maintaining the vintage look. If your looking for a inexpensive meal that will fill you up, I recommend this place.

Small bowling alley + small town = nostalgic bowling. Small. Cute. Quaint. It’s about as old school as it gets outside of a pterodactyl setting pins while a badger runs your ball back to you. But ya know what? That’s kind of cool to me! You have to keep your own score on a sheet of paper — remaining pins light on above the pins on a old school wall. Scores can be held under a small projector that would essentially light it up on a screen above the lane. The ball return is above ground which is pretty cool to watch how a ball return works. There are only a few lanes(like 6) and the lanes aren’t very well kept, no wax what so ever so straight bowling is pretty much the only style you can run with. The food wasn’t any better than any other bowling alley or hole in the wall bar food. The nachos were dried up with cheese so if you take one chip, 15 other chips follow. The wings were decent of if you like it drenched in sauce. The hot was pretty darn hot though. $ 5 for a pitcher of soda isn’t refillable either. Is it my first choice to bowl? Definitely not, but due to lack of options within a 25 mile radius it brought me back to a time when days and bowling was simple. It was a fun experience overall but because I take my bowling rather seriously — I would enjoy the amenities of the modern day bowling alleys better.

First of all, if you are looking to have a party here — THINKTWICE! This place could stand to learn the true meaning of customer service! A large group of us went to Rocket Alley to celebrate some birthdays and started our evening outside with dinner. It started to rain so we went inside and were told that we had to eat by the lanes and could not occupy the tables up top which were mostly empty. We asked if our children could at least sit in a booth and eat and the waitress replied with an attitude that they only had 15 minutes to eat. The waitress proceeds to approach our children and tells them to be quiet, when they were not even being loud! Not to mention she treated my daughter’s teenage friend extremely rude when she asked to order something after the fact and then wanted it on a separate tab! A friend in my party went to the front desk to speak to a manager, turns out that there was no manager on site to speak with. We were supposed to bowl that evening but unfortunately due to the extremely poor customer service, we did not want to spend another dime there! Not only were we disappointed but so were our children. It’s a shame that a local establishment like this can’t cater to large groups of people and just lost the business of 6 local families! Looks like we’ll have to find another bowling alley to take our parties to in the future.

This is our families favorite and most visited place to eat in Arlington. They have excellent prices, probably the best in town, and there burgers are great. The staff is awsome. Also, the old time feel of the small bowling alley adds to the fun of it.

Nice little idea for a bowling alley but the food was terrible and the service was worse. Another down is the noise level that bounces off the walls and is completely unsettling. My wife Ordered the veggie burger of which she’s had previously and enjoyed except this time it tasted foul. After two bites my wife expressed her concern with the meal to the server named Charlie Who proceeded to argued with my wife and then Deliberately ignored us bringing our bill throwing it on the table not exchanging any courtesies as we left. We always tip even when service is not so good. Not this time; completely unacceptable.

Good little bowling alley with decent food. It’s an older bowling alley that has been remodeled. The owner does a good job with the place, food has always been good– pizzas can take a while to make so don’t order one if you are short on time. Bar is a little tight, fills up pretty quick. Flatscreens with sports and friendly staff. Never bowled but it looks like a good old school set of lanes.(not too many though)

Reading the Unilocal restaurant reviews to find lunch in town wasn’t looking very hopeful, but it was time for a beer and a burger so we checked out main street. Saw the sign for this place and immediately found a parking spot. We knew we’d found a winner once we were inside this packed little place with the good aroma coming from the grill across the back of the bar area. I went with their cod sandwich special, and hubby enjoyed his burger. They had us covered with their beer selection too. I’ve added this place as a restaurant, so it won’t be just the local’s secret anymore! Everybody was friendly, so you can be a local too :)

Arlington doesn’t have much of anything to do. There are few interesting restaurants beyond some burger joints and restaurants named«[Ethnic Food] of Arlington» which is usually a pretty good sign it isn’t very good. But what they do have is Rocket Alley, and compared to the rest of the city, Rocket Alley is a gem. Rocket Alley is old school. It’s got self scoring sheets where you need to fill out your score with a pencil and double check the work of the people that can’t do math. It’s only got 6 lanes, and all of the balls are old and different, as though bought from eBay one by one over the course of 5 years. The machines broke down a few times, and the lanes were somewhat bumpy, so the ball would occasionally take crazy routes. There was also a bar in the back with a lot of old dudes, which is a sure sign of a real bowling alley. The service was also very friendly. You rent by the hour on the cheap, and the young girl at the desk was helpful and seemed in a good mood. When the machine broke down she was quick to get help and had a big smile, then when she went to the back she shouted«God damn this f*king machine, why the f*ck does it keep f*cking up?!» because I don’t think she’s aware that there’s an echo when no one else is there. Then she came back and said with a smile«let’s move you over to this lane instead, yeah?» You pay by the hour and the hourly cost is pretty cheap. Somewhere between 8 or 10 bucks an hour for unlimited bowling. I think we got 5 or 6 games in for $ 14 total. This was a fun little place.
