Red Top Executive Sedan Service

I used Red Top as a part of my engagement to my girlfriend. I called and spoke with the woman doing the scheduling and told her what I was up to with the car service that evening and she told me that she would take personal responsibility for the success of it. I was not disappointed! They sent the friendliest driver to pick up my now-​fiancée, and she just kept raving about how friendly the driver was, and how nice the car was. I would highly recommend the service to anyone that might need it. They were completely supportive of my plans and made a special day that much better for my fiancée and I!

This sedan & driver service is reliable. The fares are not unreasonable if you need a car & a knowledegable driver who is patient and who will wait. The driver was very polite, and the car was comfortable & spotlessly clean. The charge from Arlington to Tysons and back, including a 60-​minute wait, was substantially less that the estimate I was given when I made the reservation.

My husband and I use this service all of the time (dinner’s in the city, trips to the airport or train station). Have not had a bad experience yet! Always on time!
My only complaint would be they won’t open accounts for individuals only companies, even though we use them all the time.

DC has terrible cab service, so if you really need a car then you have to call ahead with a suburban company, like this one.
Note: They will pick up and deliver in DC, despite being an Arlington company.
I’ve used this car service probably 100 times (for years my company paid for this service if you worked late or very early).
Almost without fail they are right on time, polite, and clean.
I highly recommend them, particularly when you need to pre-​arrange a pickup.
I’ve used the taxi side of the service half a dozen times. It’s usually fine, but the last time I used them I got terrible service, with a cab that was late and dispatch that had a lot of attitude.
If you absolutely have to have a pickup guaranteed, use the sedan servide. More expensive, but very reliable.
Interestingly, you can even book online and have an email or even a text confirmation.

Red top used to be reliable and clean with decent drivers but NOT anymore. We used Red Top sedan on 3 different days in the last month and each experience was TERRIBLE! Dirty, smelly cars, late, rude drivers. One was swerving so quickly into different lanes that I got car sick and almost vomited. For the very expensive «service», one would expect not to be yelled at for rolling down her window to get fresh air when she was car sick. On an airport pick up, the driver did no even offer to help me with my average sized suitcase. He did however add in his own $ 15 gratuity on to my 9 mile trip home. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER use Red Top sedan again.

99% of the time this service is great. The cars are very nice. The drivers are professional and show up on time.
But you can’t rely on Red Top in the event of snow or other bad weather. Which is, of course, when you need them most.
I can understand if their drivers can’t get to you. But often long after the streets have been cleared you still can’t get a reservation to take you from downtown DC to one of the airports, even though all the roads have been cleared for hours.
And they won’t use a waiting list for snow times. You have to keep calling over and over again, which seems fairly ridiculous.
That’s why I had to give them three starts. Otherwise, the drivers are great.

They are rude and the cars are always dirty and they are another firm that you have to watch out for extra fees. They are also always OVERBOOKED so you have to wait and wait for them to come get you and they treat you like crap.
Use someone else.

Really reliable service, USE THEM.
I hate car services. I really, really do. I approach every car service/​executive sedan trip with the lowest expectations, absolutely certain that it’s going to be horrible. They won’t show up. The driver will be an ass. The car will smell like smoke and dirty feet.
Enter Red Top. It hasn’t happened. I’ve used this service 5 times in the past six months to go to the airport, and EVERY TIME has been fine. Good even. They are always on time, call when they are on their way, the drivers are gems, cars clean as a whistle.
Next trip is tomorrow, in the slush and ice to BWI. And I’m not nervous, not nervous at all.

I had a business trip that required me to fly out of BWI. I knew it was going to be a hassle to get from Arlington up to BWI, so I consulted Unilocal and found Red Top Sedan Service.
The ride out to BWI was fine. Driver was on time, curteous, and friendly. There was a newspaper in the back seat of the car, which was large with comfortable leather seats and a bottle of water. I couldn’t have asked for more.
The downside was in the pick-​up. On my way back to DC, I switched to an earlier flight and made sure to contact Red Top well in advance. They said there was no problem, I gave them my flight number and arrival time and they said they would have a driver there waiting for me. When I got off of the plane and out to the terminal exit, there was no driver. I called Red Top, who patched me through to the driver who complained: «They told me you were coming in at 1655, it is only 5:05.»
«Yes» I replied, «1655 was 10 minutes ago.»
The driver asked me to wait as he was «on the way» and would be there in 15 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, I got a ride from another driver who was there and didn’t have a fare. I will not be using Red Top again, as it really isn’t that hard to learn how to tell time.
HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

I have often used this service for trips to the airport. So much better and more reliable than Red Top Cab.
I organized a limo to pick up my office for a few functions and they are easy, efficient, and professional. I would highly recommend this company for any transportation needs.
