Not as bad as some say we stayed in the hotel for a week and ate here 2 times, the place is shaped weird long almost hallway type space, almost like an after thought. It was close and we were on vacation so it cost a little much for the food but the location being just a elevator ride away priceless!

Stayed at the hotel for a week; great hotel. The bar /restaurant sucks. Slowest service in the world 30 min for a burger. Slow bartenders. If you can go anywhere else. Go.

Kaylla, our waitress, was very nice and courteous. Besides being forced to listen to the mind-numbing conversation at the bar, the only food worth eating are the only ones you literally can’t mess up. My boyfriend and I started with soups, I went with the«killer shrimp» which in my opinion only kills you from eating it. It was basically broth with paprika and over-cooked, bland shrimp. My boyfriend had the chili which wasn’t terrible but his hush puppies had some sort of bone or husk or something in it. Entrees were just as disappointing. Puttanesca had the same disgusting shrimp and terribly tasting sausage! My boyfriend had the burger and fries and I ended up just eating half of his. The ONLY reason I’m giving it 2 stars and not 1 is because of our waitress. If you can avoid it, please do!

$ 8 for an average sized piece of dried out chocolate cake. Their benefit that I’m too tired to walk to another restaurant. disappointing.

Dinner for 1. — Ambiance(3⁄5) Your typical bar with TVs around. — Service(2⁄5) They’re all courteous though absurdly slow considering the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Waters weren’t refilled with any consistency. — Bread(N/A) No bread. — 12 oz Ribeye, $ 25(2⁄5) The ribeye itself was mauled. Parts of it burnt(mmm cancer)… Definitely not allowed to rest as the steak was bone dry. The saving grace to the dish were the relatively fresh french fries, and surprisingly awesome green beans! — Value(2⁄5) It’s fairly expensive and the food really isn’t that great. — Final Word It’s a hotel restaurant. It is what it is.

This is located in the Hotel, and has american style foods, with specials every night. Food is OK, not spectacular, reasonable price, happy hour is done by 7pm. The reason for two stars, is the horrible service, with almost a feeling of disgust from the server! Décor is a cheaply done pub look, dimly lit, and divided half way through, making it seem smaller than it is. OK food and convenient if you are staying in the hotel.

This restaurant/bar is in the hotel closest to my work and the only reason why I go sometimes is because it is the closest to work and the weather is bad or something. Unless you are desperate, do not go here. Yeah, they have your basic beer and wine, but the food is just terrible. When you order sweet potato fries, they let you know that half of the fries will be normal and half will be sweet potato fries. WHAT?! Avoid this place unless you really can’t help it.

This was a distressingly bad restaurant experience and its only saving grace was that it ended up comped and the waitstaff and manager were on top of the problem. But there were problems here that polite service just could not fix. I waited a very long time for my dinner, with apologetic word from the waitress each time she passed. Finally a manager came and told me the food runner had dropped my food and they were making it over. He also gave me a free«soup»(or bowl of floury orange goo). That was my signal that all was not going to be well with my delayed meal despite the niceness of the staff. And indeed it was not. While my steak was actually cooked medium as requested, it tasted strongly of something that had been scorched to charcoal on the grill surface previously. And that is no way to treat a steak. Sides were bland but edible. Not wanting to go back out to another restaurant and try again at that late hour, I ate what I needed to get by and left the rest behind, like the terrible memory that I will now erase from my brain after posting this review. I just can not let others make my mistake. Don’t eat here until they mend their ways. There are several much better restaurants a few blocks away.

I am giving this restaurant a 2 star based on the service. Food is usually always good. My co-worker and I sat at the bar. The Bar tenders was an asian guy with short black hair. He seemed royally pissed to have to serve us and paid more attention to the football game that was playing on TV. I apologize that I had to disrupt someones job and that they had to serve me and ring my bill.

I will separate this review into three categories: atmosphere, food and service. Hopefully that will allow me to keep one very bad category from taking away from the other two. Atmosphere: Meh. There is nothing interesting or special about this place. It is a standard lounge. By the area standards it is below par(far below par for area hotels), but it is clean and okay. There are a lot of TVs. If you are staying at the hotel, go outside and walk a block south. For the same price you can get a much nicer, much better place… However, it doesn’t seem like a bad place to get a beer after a long day(if you are staying in the hotel) Food: A little below meh. I came here because of a good review for the Veranda Café(which is apparently only open for breakfast and lunch). Based on the food alone, I won’t return. It was Tuesday and half pound burgers were only five bucks. Nice? Not so much. They were bland, Costco-type burgers. Not disgusting, but nothing at all special. Even at five bucks, it didn’t seem like a bargain. Also, the french fries were cold and the cheese had the burnt out look from sitting under a heating lamp for too long… which might have been because of the… Service: Terrible. Waitress was just terrible. Took forever to approach the table. So long that we were ready to order when she did come by. As soon as she took the drinks order, she darted away before giving us a chance to order. We had to wait another ten minutes for her to return and finally order. The whole time she seemed to be avoiding actually looking around to see if any of her tables needed her. When she would walk by, she would look away. The food took a while to come out. And when we wanted the check, she had disappeared. Eventually another woman(manager, I think) brought the check. [let me interject here by saying that the manager seemed very friendly. We could overhear here chatting away with other tables and the tourists seem to enjoy her] The check was wrong. She double charged us for drinks. More than five minutes later, we waived the waitress down to notify her of the mistake. I had my credit card out and was ready to pay, but for some reason when she returned she put the ticket on the table and left while I was trying to hand her my card. It was almost another ten minutes before my wife got up to go find her(we were ready to leave 15 minutes ago!) Bottom line: You don’t want to come here for the food. You don’t want to come here for the atmosphere. You don’t want to come here for the service. Let’s face it, you don’t want to come here. UNLESS, you are staying in the hotel and want to get a beer before turning in. Edit: Happy hour goes until 9:00 pm with 3 dollar drafts and 4 dollar glasses of wine. That is extremely rare for this area and important information that I should have included in this post.
