The best and I do not say that lightly, burrito joint ever. The service is great. The lines move quickly and the location is easily accessible. I loved the mango and cilantro salsa and the burritos are huge! I highly recommend a steak burrito on a habanero wrap with all the toppings. One of my all time favorite spots!

It’s 15% bigger than a Chipotle burrito but that being said it’s $ 5 cheaper with extra steak and your size and proportions are different depending on who makes your burrito. I’ve been to the one in DC as well and this burrito in Columbia pike was bland in comparison. The guy making my burrito wiped snot in his hand and continued making my burrito but they made me a new one.

I really don’t understand the pomp and circumstance this place gets on Unilocal.Yeah it’s cheap, yeah it’s humongous. But mediocre food is still mediocre food. They advertise different flavors of tortilla but all of them pretty much taste the same. The meats and rice are bland and really lack any flavor. Also, their sauces are too sweet and really overpower the burrito. I guess it’s favorited by the drunk and party going crowd. But if you’re sober, you will be sorely disappointed. Go grab a Chipotle.

This place is insane. Biggest burritos I’ve ever seen in my life, plus they are incredibly delicious. You can choose your own tortilla and type of sauce you want. My friend and I had double steak burrito and added every single ingredient, guacamole and sour cream, corn and poco de gallo, cucumbers and onions. Since I love spicy, I ordered hot sauce #9 I’ll come every Saturday after work, this place is open till 3 am.

Pedro & Vinny’s. I was thinking of coming here for lunch for just one day and trying somewhere else for the next. What I ended up doing was going here twice. Because it was just that damn good. It’s a small shop, right next to an open area with seating and basically in a parking lot. For both times I ordered a bowl because well, I didn’t want to fall asleep in my conference like I saw peers do after lunch. So that meant no rice as well, but I did have beans. The first day I mixed two meats, pork and steak, to get a variety. And it was amazing. I have to say I think I enjoyed the pork more than the steak though because I felt the steak was a little hard? It just didn’t do the meat department for me justice. Anyways, for salsa I tried both the Peach and Mango together the first day, and just Mango the second. I think I should’ve ordered less of the Mango salsa, but that’s just personal preference. I must say this… If you’re hungry, pay for the extra meat. It’s about $ 1 – 2 extra and it’s extremely worth it. I got extra pork the next day and it was awesome, that bowl felt so damn heavy and just filled me up and I was feeling so great. They give amazing portions and I tipped on top because of it. Thanks for the great food Pedro & Vinny’s! I also did want to mention that I saw one of my high school classmates because that I came here the next day. So thank’s for the awkward meet as well haha. The food was well worth it.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Sometimes it really hits the spot and sometimes you just need some Chipotle in your life instead. The burritos and burrito bowls are absolutely enormous. No matter what you get in them they always filled them to the brim. I dont know what it is but sometimes the spices that they use on the chicken and steak leaves sometime to be desired and the steak just needs to be better quality I think. The staff here is always nice and it isnt too expensive so worth a stop by if youre in the area. The sauces are also very good(I usually get the green) and the staff is very friendly.

Love Pedro & Vinny’s! It is located in a red shack right off of Columbia Pike(I guess it’s technically in the CVS parking lot). Much like Chipotles, you choose between a bowl or burrito, pick your meat(veggie, chicken, pork, or steak), your extra toppings(black or pinto beans, cheese, corn, onion, lettuce, tomato, etc.) and you can choose your sauce(mango, cilantro, etc). You can try the sauces while you wait. I love the fact that you can choose your tortilla(plain, spinach, habanero, garlic). The portions are HUGE… Larger than Chipotle — I often can’t finish the meal. So bang for your buck factor is big. The taste is pretty good — I know some people say they prefer Chipotle and I can see that, you aren’t gonna get the same fresh taste I think, but I think the service is better(particularly if the Columbia Pike Chipotle reviews are to be believed…) and I really like the fact that this is a small, local business. Added bonus in my mind. While it is a takeout place as others have said, there is seating around back. There is also the park next door(in front of the Penrose Square Apartments) with ample seating. Overall I love this place. Walking distance from my house is a huge bonus and I really appreciate the local business factor.

Fast and tasty burritos. See a lot of military folk eat lunch here. Located in a funky elevated shack in the cvs parking lot. Huge portions. Similar to chipotle, but not as many choices for toppings. I do appreciate the Mexican red colored rice Mango salsa is my favorite. I love guac. Not sure if they charge extra for it, but I always get it. It’s about $ 10 for a burrito bowl with everything.

Chipowho? P&V literally won my heart, wallet, & soul this weekend and my only regret is not trying it sooner. After seeing my neighbor come home with a bowl the size of her body, my roommates & I finally decided to give it a try. Located in a small trailer-home like hut off Columbia pike, this place is literally everything I look for in a cheap eat. Ordered a Chicken & Steak burrito bowl with yellow/white rice, pinto/black beans, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, corn, diced cucumbers, cheese, and cilantro sauce(major key). Similar to chipotle, they claim to use fresh ingredients that are never canned or frozen. Whether or not they’re non GMO is irrelevant to me bc it still tastes so unbelievably good. The bowl is also bigger than any Chipotle bowl i’ve ever experienced. I am known for always inhaling my plates but had to set aside a portion of this bowl for later as I knew if I finished I would be immobilized for the evening. Another thing to note is that the free tortilla on the side is actually a skinny quesadilla, you just have to ask for it. Apparently it’s also open till 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays? The fact that this place is located less than a mile from home is just dangerous. P&V truly is Arlington’s burrito gem.

Thank goodness for P&V. Chipotle, please step aside. I love the freshness of Chipotle’s ingredients but I’m a sucker for hole in the wall local establishments. P&V is located in a trailer-type shack, which reminds me of Bob and Edith’s down the street. P&V is take out only so prepare to shamelessly indulge in the security and comfort of your own car. I ordered a pork burrito bowl(just shy of $ 10), heavier than any Chipotle bowl, with yellow rice, pinto beans, sour cream, guac, lettuce, corn, tomatoes, and cilantro sauce(the green one). The cilantro sauce was tangy/sour but definitely missing the cilantro flavor. Chopped cilantro is a topping option that’s not offered, just make sure you ask for it specifically. I believe the guac is Wholly Guacamole, BUT do not quote me on that. The pork could use a bit more salt but I prefer my food well seasoned(read: on the salty side, next train to hypertension, here I come!). The pinto beans are not like your Chipotle-style pinto beans, but instead retain more of a refried bean texture. Also not on the menu is the option of a cheesy tortilla/cheese quesadilla. Just ask for it as the guys are finishing your burrito bowl. Pick a flavor of tortilla and they load it with shredded cheese and heat it up for your enjoyment. I love the fact that P&V is open super late on Fridays and Saturdays(hello drunchies). Be aware though, that they are closed on Sundays, when I want P&V the most(I call it the Chick-Fil-A effect, you know the one).

** In a nutshell… delicious, huge burritos at a good price ** – Everything is cooked in extra virgin olive oil, not cheap vegetable oil – Great salsas(mango habanero, smoked hickory tomato, cilantro habanero, etc.) that you can sample via free tortilla chips. – Variety of tortillas(whole wheat, tomato, onion/garlic, spinach, etc.) – Chicken, steak, pork, veggies w/included guacamole – Black and/or pinto beans(fresh and handwashed; not canned!) – Sour cream, corn, lettuce, and guacamole($ 1.50 extra) – Bowl or salad I like the taste of Chipotle more, but Pedro & Vinny’s wins via the local-business factor and huge portions. PS. Unilocal has this listed as a «food truck,» but it’s actually a small shop in a parking lot with no seating. So, it does have a covered entrance, but you’ll definitely be ordering take-out.

When you imagine a foodie talking about a phenomenal place to eat, most people would expect the place being described as an utter hole-in-the-wall and being incredibly hard to find. Well Pedro & Vinny’s is neither of these things. It is a free-standing structure right off of Columbia Pike, and it is so easy to find. The name of the game here is burritos. If you’re getting anything else here, you’re doing something wrong. These guys serve up the largest, and best tasting(traditional) burritos in the area without question– and arguably on the entire east coast. What they may lack in presentation, and decorum, they make up for in customer service and flavor. This burrito will knock you on your ass, pick you back up, and then give you a cuddle. And all of this for an incredibly fair price. Did I mention they’re open late? I recommend them to everyone I know who’s moved to the area or who has somehow failed to hear about them. Keep it up gentlemen, you’re a community staple.

My God. The burritos here are less burritos and more MASSIVE, HEAVENLYGUTBUSTERS. Seriously, Pedro and Vinny’s, located in an unassuming shack on stilts in a shopping center off Columbia Pike, serves up what I think are the best burritos in the entire DC area, and at a crazy reasonable price. I paid a little over seven bucks for mine. And like I mentioned before, the burritos here are so huge that it will probably completely disintegrate halfway through. Props to you if you can keep that from happening. But no worries, grab a fork or spoon and FINISHTHATSUCKERUP! You will no longer be hungry, you will be happy, and you’ll need a nap.

Cheap, yummy, HUGE burrito. What more do you need? They have sweet sauces like mango and peach and spicy sauces(I don’t remember the name but its red and green) which you can sample with the chips provided. You can also pick rice bowl or tortillas. Good selection of tortillas. Rest is pretty standard. They make it fresh and quick. I also saw that they have food truck going into DC near McPherson Square. So, obviously they are doing pretty well. The portion is big, ladies you won’t finish it. Guys, some of you can and will be perfectly full. There is no where to sit(there is a table and a chair right outside their stand, but it does look awkward sitting there…) so perfect for grab and go. Plenty of parking as it is between the shops nearby.

Had a burrito here once because I didn’t feel like going out of my way to Chipotle. It was pretty good. The workers here weren’t the most friendly though. They also charged me for guacamole which I didn’t like.(I never get charged for guac at chipotle) but other than that, it’s a nice little burrito joint.

Worth a visit but not my favorite. I want to love this place for the staff vibe, unique venue, and dive feel. But in the end it comes down to the food, which is average to good but not great. The burrito ends up runny. The flavor is good and the produce is fresh. If you want a 3# burrito, this is your place.

I been a Pedro & Vinny’s faithful for many years having worked nearby the food cart on K Street downtown. Love that they’ve taken over an old Ollie’s Trolley which is perfect for grab and go(though there are picnic tables outside to stay) and fits in the neighborhood, but it’s a slightly different concept than the cart. The original Pedro & Vinny’s only offers vegetarian burritos in small(no rice), medium and large. This brick and mortar location only serves one size, but has chicken, beef, pork and veggie, but otherwise it’s the same P&V goodness. They cook their own meat and the chicken I had was juicy but still had a hint of char from the grill. You get a choice of tortilla(regular, red chili, whole wheat, etc.), choice of beans, cheese, sour cream, salsa, corn or lettuce; only guacamole is extra for $ 2. You also have the option of a bowl or salad, in addition to the massive signature burrito. My only complaint is that they only have one menu board and have been writing over it with marker to change the prices, making it hard to read. They may want to consider adding more or having some printed. Happy to patronize a local business with scratch cooking over a chain any day!

If you want to see teamwork getting after it, come to Pedro’s during lunchtime. These guys are running a line like nobody’s business. They have plenty of sauces to try with your burrito and if you go please be ready to order as things move very fast. I got a regular chicken burrito with cilantro habanero sauce and man it was good. I’m glad I finally got this off my bucket list in DC so do take a visit there and enjoy burrito goodness.

Slightly cheaper than Chipotle and Qdoba… has all your typical burrito fillings but with different choices of flavored tortillas and sauces… yet it feels like you get more stuff that tastes just as good if not better. Honestly, I’d choose this place over those 2 others mentioned any day. It’s never really that busy so you just go in, order up, and get out. It’s family owned I believe and they’re really humble people. Sample the sauces with the free tortilla chips at the counter. Try ‘em all. Honestly I’d like to write more about this place but there’s not much they can improve on. They don’t skimp out on ANY topping and it’s filled out pretty evenly. Y’all doing great, keep it up. 10/10, always come again and would recommend to anyone.

I was in the neighborhood and was hungry, alone and didn’t want to spend a ton of money. On top of that, I already had a hankering for tacos or something of the sort. So I walked across the street to this little joint. It was being run by an older guy and a younger guy, could have been father and son I guess. The first thing I noticed was all the different tortilla flavors, which I had never seen before. I sprung for the chicken, with rice, pinto beans, cheese, onions, tomatoes, corn, sour cream, the green sauce and lettuce — encased in a habanero tortilla. When it was ready it was about as hot as a baked potato fresh out of the oven, so I took it to go. I drove home with it(about 13 mins), at which time it was still hot and fresh. I dug in, and it was OK. The habanero tortilla didn’t have much kick, so I busted out my trusty Chipotle Tabasco from the fridge. While it was good, it wasn’t great. Comparable to Moe’s in quality. It was plenty big, however. I was painfully full afterwards, so the bang-to-buck ratio is very high. As others have stated everything looks pre-made(except maybe the sauces), and like it’s been sitting around. Would I go again? Sure, but only if I happened to be right there. I’ve had much better burritos at Qdoba and Chipotle, and for the same price. Chipotle has quite a bit of fresh made stuff… I mean they even shred their own cheese.

Talk about one of the best burritos I’ve ever had! When you walk up to the shack you may be a little confused, but trust your instincts(or nose). You’ll be able to pick from a wide arrange of tortillas(I.e. Garlic, spinach, tomato, habanero). I picked Habanero. They’ll ask if you want cheese and you’ll say hell yeah! Then they’ll sprinkle it on the tortilla and heat the tortilla up. The cheese will be melted on there as you choose from pork, chicken, or beef. Then put that rice in there and get a little of both beans… Get crazy! I usually get all the veggies and of course you need to TREATYOSELF and add that guacamole! Add a hot sauce… They range on a scale from 1 to 10. Then finally add one of their amazing salsas… I got the cilantro bc I CILANTRO. By the time you’re done, the burrito will look and weigh about the same as a baby elephant! Dig in there and let all the flavor explode in your mouth! Mouthgasm. Will be back… Sorry Chipotle.

This place absolutely rocks! Pedro & Vinny’s is a small burrito stand in the CVS parking lot. It’s got a few tables outside when there is good weather, and there’s barely standing room for 5 people in the building itself. Not a big deal, though — service is lightning fast and cheap(and credit cards are accepted), so there are no complaints to be had. It’s also open ridiculously late, making it a great place for those of us who forget dinner until midnight. The burritos and bowls here are excellent. There’s a large variety of meats, condiments, and spices — and all are fresh, absolutely tasty, and ridiculously well paired. All of the spicy sauces are worth experimenting with, though I’ll warn that some of them are EXTREMELY hot. You literally can’t go wrong here. Highly recommended!

I’ve been to this place a few times. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but when you bite into one of their burritos, you will think past about the unsightly building and realize you just bought a meal for 3 meals. The burritos are good! Their burritos run between $ 10 – 11 depending on what you get and if you get extra toppings, chips, and etc. They only offer bottled drinks and limited seating with patio seating in the back. My best advice is to get a burrito to go that way you can enjoy it without being cramped inside trying to eat without bumping into a patron or try to get patio seating… however, don’t expect much from the patio seating… there isn’t anything sightly to enjoy other than the CVS parking lot.

Pedro and Vinny’s Burritos had been on my bookmarks list for a while, and I have to say that I was pretty disappointed by my experience there. It’s been mentioned by several friends and has gotten some great reviews on Unilocal,so I was hoping I’d like it more, but in the end the food was mediocre at best. This place is located on Columbia Pike. It’s not a restaurant(don’t expect any seating — and I don’t dock any stars for that since it’s very obviously a take-out place), but rather an indoor burrito stand. Pretty simple process — you decide what type of bread, meat, toppings, and salsa you want and you place your order. I ordered a burrito on white tortilla bread with melted cheese, steak(citrus-marinated), rice, pinto beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, guacamole, and the medium-spicy tangy cilantro sauce. The burrito was fine, but not great. They put way too much cilantro sauce on mine, and I noticed their guacamole isn’t actually homemade. When the guy opened the fridge behind him to get guacamole, it became apparent that it was the store-bought packaged kind. Pretty disappointing. The rest of the ingredients tasted pretty packaged /reheated too. Service was decent. Nothing negative, but didn’t go out of their way to be friendly either. I’m glad I gave this place a try and I understand many people have had a much more positive experience than I have. But personally, I think I’d be better off going elsewhere for specialty burritos or just sticking with the tried and true Chipotle burrito. At least the guacamole at Chipotle is more fresh.

Thank you to the food inspector from the Health Department in shutting down Pedro and Vinny’s. You have now made Pedro and Vinny’s food that much better and healthier when we least expect it. I thought the food when I first tried it to be very good. Now that they have closed down and reopened after fixing and tweaking things, the food tastes better than before. The Veggies are now cold like they are supposed to be and the meat hot like you expect to be. When you mix the cold with the hot, and you add their signature flavor sauces, it tastes so much better. They truly deserve to keep my 5 Star rating for making things better. Now if we can only get the $ 1.00 off for checking into Unilocal

I came here bc I could walk here… but the walk was worth it! Decent burritos and great value. Burrito — It’s not the best I’ve had and probably lacks some flavor without the sauces added… but it enough to satisfy your burrito craving. Here are the deets: 1. Tortillas — Love that you can choose different ones! I had spinach but there is white, wheat, and onion garlic. Tortillas aren’t made in-house and look like they come from the nearby Giant. 2. Sauces — I like mango habanero best but there are three more flavors. Sample all four while you wait! 3. Fillings — rice, beans, corn, lettuce, tomatoes… AND cucumber. That was a first but I liked it. Guacamole is $ 1.50 extra(unless you order veg which let’s guac be comp’d). Price — $ 7.50 including tax for a chicken burrito that will last an adult two meals? Hell. Yes. Service — Cool and nice guys working. Space — More like a place where you order and go, but there is some outside seating. But really doe… I can’t complain. Four stars cause value is too good.

Looks can be deceiving! I avoided P&V’s for a long time because of its curious location — in a trailer in the parking lot of CVS. And boy was I wrong to judge that book by its cover! This place is truly a staple of the Columbia Pike/Penrose Square area. Experience: this place is as divey as it gets. There is barely enough room to stand and tell the guys what you want, so don’t dawdle. PROTIP for first timers: if you don’t know what you want, back up and let the regulars(ME!!!) get in and get out. Don’t let the atmosphere be off-putting, the burrito is definitely worth it. Price: for the size of these burritos, they are well worth the money you pay for them. The guys that work there are more than generous with the servings and I’m never left wanting more once I finish a burrito. Quality: best that you can expect from a dive like this. If you’re looking for a 5-star burrito, well I’m not sure where’d you go for that. Try the mango sauce, it’s the bomb. Variety: they have countless combinations and you can try something different every time you’re in. If you’re looking for a smaller portion, go for the bowl(it’s very manageable). 5 out of 5 because I’m never left disappointed!
