I have been here about 4 times. Once for breakfast and the other times for lunch. Lunch to me should cost around $ 10 in the inflated Rossyln lunch hustle; it should consist of a sandwich, a drink, and maybe a side of chips or vegetables. Apparently, the word«organic» allows you to charge $ 10 for a sandwich alone. The staff is understaffed, 3 people for the lunch rush. I waited in line for about 10 minutes without giving my order. Also, the ingredients are not fresh and my sandwich didn’t taste like a $ 10 sandwich i.e. it didn’t give me a backrub and tell me what a great job I was doing or get me drunk. The breakfast egg white sandwich was terrible, it was exactly what I would get downstairs at my building except it cost $ 6 more. They microwaved it and there you go, $ 8. The sandwiches are definitely an upgrade and the bbq chicken quesidilla was actually good. But I take exception for being charged $ 9 for a half a freaking salad. Also, the empanada on the street isn’t terrible. The portions here suck or you can pay $ 15 to be moderately satisfying meal. Just because something claims to be organic, doesn’t necessitate such a high price tag. There is no conclusive proof that organic is even better for you. It’s just a stupid fad perpetuated by stupid white people trying to appear healthy and make a pretty penny while doing it.

Both times I went here, as I handed over way too much money for way too small of a portion to totally unorganized and unenthusiatic staffs, I would swear that I would not come back. But after I have my food, I admit that I probably will be back again. It takes forever to get your food in a small cramped space that is super unorganized. The staff is not rude but makes it way too obvious that they don’t give a darn. Last time I went, I ordered scambled eggs with potatoes. When I asked what types of veggies are available for the scamble, she’s just shrugged and kinda pointed to the sandwich bar. Pretty much whatever I can scavenger hunt for in the bins. Great. Same goes for the meat. I gave her an exasperated look then moved along the bar to peak through the glass to see what my options are. What was nice about this whole thing was I could pick anything I wanted. I picked roasted veggies, mushrooms, and salmon with some goat cheese in egg white scramble. After what seemed like an hour I walked away with my scambled eggs. When I came home, the container was soaked from all the water from the veggies. But when I started eating it, I was really peasantly surprised by the yumminess. Hmmm… I really wanted to hate this place. Darn it. Couple weeks later, I’m going to head back for some more of the scrambled eggs. Too bad cause it’s so close to me and if the service wasn’t such a horror, I would’ve gone back the next day and many days after. It took me couple of weeks to shake of the annoyance enough to go back.
