I came here with my boyfriend during dinner time and we specifically came for crawfish. I’ve always heard good things about Orchid so we decided to try this place out for the first time. We ended up ordering 3 pounds of «Extra Shazaam???”(not sure lvl 2) which seemed to be the right amount of spice for us. The crawfish exceeded my expectations just because we’ve always had to travel a good distance to Boiling Crab and wait about 2 hours. Now fortunately we found the right convenient spot right across TCC nearby my house! Looks like this will be my go to place when I don’t feel like driving the distance. _Crawfish: above expectation… Yummy! This place seems to have their seasoning on point along with the garlicky taste Food: we also ordered blackened Tilapia with spicy basil which the server said it was the most popular dish. It did not dissapoint! _Drink: I got the strawberry avalanche. It was really good but a little too sweet for me, I gave it to my bf instead and he liked it. Service: some people said on Unilocal they have bad service. I did not receive bad experience at all. My server was really nice and attentive. My table was checked up by multiple servers, even the girl at the register came refilled what ever we need. on point! _Atmosphere: The restaurant is cute but the booths seemed to be worn out. I assume majority of their customers are college students and high school kids close by. It was a little hot inside, the girl told me that they’re having someone fix the AC right now. It was kind of irritating us because we were already drinking and it was hot. But good food covers it up! Overall, I love this place. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

I’m a fairly frequent customer here and find that this place is perfect for friends and family. The interior design very much has a contemporary art style; the floors are polished concrete and the windows give it a very spacious feel, even if the café itself is as small as a typical café. The staff are always friendly and the food is delicious and generous! I tend to get grilled/blackened fish with the Autumn salad(I forget exactly what it’s called). My father always gets the Downtown burger, which is so stacked, he usually has to set the fried onions(delicious!) aside to tackle the burger properly. In our most recent visit, my sis got the gumbo which she says was«pretty good and not spicy at all.» In general, we’ve always had positive experiences coming to this place. A very small nitpick is that the booth seats are pretty worse for wear at this point; the cushions are ripped up, making it not ideal for sitting. Other than that, if you’re looking for a nice Vietnamese and American experience, then I highly recommend the Orchid City Café!

I normally order the boba tea here, which is very good! They have so many different flavor options as well as different specials for the boba tea. I’ve had their food once, and it was decent, that’s the only reason why I’m giving one star less. I think it’s ok quality, but you pay a little too much for it.

I go into Orchid City quite often for their food and their drinks, and the location is convenient for me. However, over the last few visits, service has been very bad and lacking in customer service. My boyfriend and I went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was a little busier than normal. Although we were seated right away, it took us a significant amount of time to actually receive the menu and order our food. Additionally, we also ordered items to-go for our family at the same time we ordered our food for dine-in. After about 20 minutes or so, our appetizer arrived, with no silverware or napkins given to us, and our drinks came a few minutes after. Our food took another 20 minutes to come out. When we finished our food, we waited for our to-go items. It took another 30 minutes to receive our to-go food, and it seemed like they forgot about our order even though we ordered it at the very beginning. Although the server was nice and gave us a discount for the long wait, it did not make up for the extra time we had to be there since we ordered our food to-go when we first arrived. I noticed that there were a lot of people working, but it seemed like most of them were just standing around and talking to each other, rather than helping the restaurant. Overall, the service still needs significant improvement, but I will come back just for the food and drinks.

Love their new rolled ice cream! Always wanted to go to Houston for this desert but I guess Orchid City took the initiative. I had the matcha strawberry and it was amazing. Our waitress was attentive while we were there. The crawfish was good but about ¼ of our 3 lbs were dead but maybe just abad batch that I got.

I’ve only had their food once, and I really can’t remember it that well. I’m here all the time for their bubble tea happy hour between 2:30−4 though. Half price drinks! I tricked myself into thinking it was B1G1 free, so I always get two drinks for myself… lol. I love their milk tea with grass jelly and the strawberry aloe vera drink.

I’ve always been a big fan of their boba drinks and came only for that purpose, but I decided to give their crawfish a try since I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. I ordered 7 pounds to go for me and my siblings. When I got home, the first couple ones I opened were bad. Then I kept opening more up and all of them were like that. All of them were black inside and the crawfish was VERY overcooked. I couldn’t even opened it in one piece without it falling apart. And when I ate it, it was literally mush… I’ve never tasted crawfish so terrible before. Sadly all of it went in the trash cause almost all of it was not edible. I’ll come back for the drinks, but definitely not the crawfish…

My go to place whenever I dont feel like thinking of a place to eat, and especially when craving crawfish. The crawfish is well flavored with some garlic butter and cajun seasoning(I assume) which is addicting. I always get the extra shazam, and add some hot sausage(my favvvvvvorite!). I tried almost everything they have on the menu but never get tired of it. Avocado is a must if you love avocado, it is creamy, tasty, its just perfection! Wildberry cream, mango cream, banana cream, strawberry avalanche, and milk tea are good as well. The taste of the boba is inconsistent, sometimes its real good, sometimes its not. Overall, I love the place.

Totally an awesome place! The food is not your average food! I love the Jasmine rice with beef! It is absolutely mouth watering. I really like that this is a family business too. They aren’t like throwing it in your face, but I got to know the owner pretty well over my visits. This is a great place to go get a boba tea and sit down to study, or a great place to grab a bite on a date or with the family. I love going to get a boba tea and sitting down to study. The only real problem I have is that the food can be a little greasy. And when I say that, it is not bad at all! I have never had something come and be upset with it, just that’s how the food is. I would not let this keep you from coming here. Again, totally try this place if you are looking for a new, slightly spicy, great tasting Asian place.

My once favorite place to eat has gone downhill. It used to be a cool little trendy eatery where you would order at the counter and seat yourself. Now they have made it more«family friendly» with waitresses and the SERVICESUCKSSOOOBAD!!! The wait times are ridiculously long and the food is not as good as it once was. The other day my husband and I went in to eat. We weren’t promptly greeted. Someone finally came up to us after about 2 mins of waiting and said she would clean off a table for us. About 10 mins later we are still standing up in the front, waitresses are walking by dirty tables and no one is bothering to clean one so we can sit. We finally walked out. I spoke to a couple more of my friends who used to be regulars and they all stopped going because of the slow service and now I have to add myself to the list.

Don’t get me wrong the food is great but… THESERVICEISSOTERRIBLE! If you aren’t taking your food to go you better have time to kill. It was painfully slow. I came in with my friend and we ended up leaving two hours later! About twenty minutes were actually spent eating the rest was sitting and waiting and having to flag down servers to ask multiple times for drinks or the check. Definitely avoiding dine in at all costs if I even decide to come back again. After looking at reviews it irks me that so many people complain about service and the owner always replies to their reviews yet nothing has changed.

They did not honor their own Unilocal coupon. Orchid City needs to either take the coupon off of Unilocal,or they should honor it. Food is tasty, but they handled this coupon very poorly.

My first time at orchid fusion café and it exceeded my expectations. The food, I had shredded beef with fried rice, my friends had tilapia a/rice and a blackened chicken salad. Everything was very delicious, if not exactly great. I might give the food a three but there were a couple of things that got them the extra star. The first was the menu, an asian/Cajun fusion that featured fried rice and also gumbo! I didn’t have the gumbo or the po’ boy But will definitely be back to try them. Usually I am hesitant with these kinds of fusion restauurants as they skew awful more often than delicious but everything seemed well done. The other thing that really got the extra star was the drinks. I had an aloe– lychee drink. It was one of the most refreshing things I have ever drank, and when the Texas summers get hot I will definitely be back for that drink!

Always come here to satisfy my boba craving especially during happy hour 2:30−4pm and then the occasional crawfish stops. The crawfish here is really flavorful one of the best around Arlington. Highly recommend to come here for crawfish.

Haven’t been here in forever! I don’t remember the food tasting this good. I got the downtown burger with a side of Bbq sauce, and the bf had the blackened salmon(which was amazinggggg). The honey dew milk tea was also a delight :)

Great calamari and TKO crawfish! Service is slow regardless of how many ppl are sitting. They would rather mop the floor than looking over people who are looking over lol(at 5:30pm) Maybe they are very confident with what they bring to the table. which I agree on items we ordered. TKO isn’t spicy enough for blowing your head off(at least not me) but it has very good balance of each ingredient that is put in. Try mixing cob of corn or rice into the juice, you will definitely have steam on your face. Pleasantly tasty and they don’t trick you on a pound of crawfish with too much juice in a bag. That is a plus point! Overall, I definitely want to come back to try other cajun plates. Those crawfish were huge and price was decent. Just come and try at least once! Tip: crawfish avaliable from 4pm!

By far the best tasting crawfish I’ve ever had in my life. The service was kinda slow. Seems like the staff is a little disorganized when the place is packed. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest either. But wow the crawfish was amazing. It was the only reason why we went. The location is on the smaller side so during crawfish season you can expect a wait for a table. Not sure if they take reservations either. It’s really unfortunate that the servers don’t have a working system when it comes to handling tables. Lots of down time and flagging down random workers to ask about stuff we requested during dinner. But this is one of those places where the food is so good that no matter what happened I’m really okay with how the entire evening went. The smoothies are also really good. I haven’t tried anything else so I can’t really judge the food too well but if the quality of the crawfish speaks for the rest of the menu then I bet you won’t be disappointed. They offer gloves for crawfish eating too which is super nice. We usually bring our own but the night we went we accidentally left them at home. Seriously can’t wait to go back.

Service: We came during a «busy» time when they were expecting a reservation of 30 people. None of their guests had arrived at the time, but had taken all the tables and chairs. We were forced to get our food to-go. You could definitely tell the more seasoned servers, while some where college students who never really had jobs before. Although, the service was mediocre, they were definitely pleasant. Food/drink quality: The crawfish is great! The crawfish is prepared in advance, so your order comes out much quicker than our other items we ordered. The special drinks are not the best — corn syrup galore. But the regular milk tea is decent. They all come in one size, so that eliminates the need to contemplate how many calories you’re about to consume in your drink. The food is reasonably priced. This restaurant is BYOB — need I say more? Environment: The benches are falling apart, the décor is outdated. You can tell this is geared towards college students, since it is directly from the TCC campus. There are two televisions, located on either sides of the wall. Overall: I definitely would not come for a date night, but a casual night out is great. I would definitely come here again.

It’s definitely a gem. Nice comfy spot, with really good food. Friendly adorable little waitresses. Overall I love this place. I got the orchid fries which are good, I think if they had a special sauce they would be superb. I also got the fried shrimp which were fried to Perfection, and the spicy basil fried rice was fresh and tasty.

I’ve come here a few times and whether it was with a friend or with a date, I’ve always enjoyed my visit! Food: –I really like their spicy basil rice because it’s not too spicy but enough for good flavor! I usually like to order with grilled shrimp or sliced beef.(Both pictured) –And I usually like to order one of their drinks too like boba or a slushie. Service: –You go to the counter to order and can grab your own water on the side of the restaurant where you can also get sauce for your table like soy sauce or siracha. Usually you grab those things on your own but when the waitress brought out our food to the table, she kindly asked us what sauce we wanted and got it for us! Very nice :) Ambiance: –I wish there was more lighting whether it’s natural or with fixtures because the booth I sat at was a little too dark. I like places with nice lighting.
