OK I’m updating my review from 2 stars to 4(you can see my original review below). I called NDB this morning once the customer service dept. opened. They immediately scheduled me in to get the shades fixed. Someone has come out and fixed the shades all within a matter of 3 hours. Apparently roller shades need to be perfectly level and there’s only an eighth of an inch wiggle room with measuring them(versus other shades). They were off a little more than 1/8″. The new installer told me they’ll work for a while this way, but he wanted to order NEWONES because they should last for 10 – 15 years with no issues and he couldn’t guarantee them as is. I’m SUPER impressed with how quickly they responded to the issue and that they recognized that new shades needed to be ordered. — — — – My experience with NDB has been good and bad. First the design consultant arrived and she was great with helping us pick out something that looks good. She was efficient and measured everything correctly. When install day arrived they provided me with a 4 hour window and they arrived during that time and spent about 15 minutes putting the 3 roller shades up(*impressive*). Everything looked great and at this point I would’ve given them 5 stars, HOWEVER it’s been 2 ½ weeks since the shades have been installed and when I went to raise one this morning it FELLONMYHEAD. Seriously!!! You call this a quality product with quality installation? I have other shades in my house that have been hanging for 5 years(and were cheaper) and I’ve never experienced a problem. This one’s up for less than a month and falls down? Imagine if I was a kid, it would’ve taken me out! Needless to say, I’m not pleased. I wonder if they do Next Day fixes? Somehow I doubt it… If they do though, I’ll update my review accordingly.

I was initially disappointed with Next Day Blinds. They measured wrong twice, they came back with wrong colors, the installer was dropping his drill all over my floors, hitting the walls with his ladder, putting his tools on my baby’s crib, leaving rubber bands all over floors where my baby’s crawling… just an awful customer service. But they redeemed themselves later with sending Eric, their wonderful senior installer, and a gift card.

So my wife convinced me that we needed to have new blinds for our recent home purchase. After doing some initial checking, we decided to call in Next Day Blinds for a designer consult and recommendation. Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality, made to order options, which were really installed the next day! We especially loved the designers choices of colors, top down blinds and blackout blinds. We were amazed the ream installed 14 windows in just under one hour. If you are shopping on a budget, Next Day Blinds tend to be on the pricier side, but for the instant gratification, quality, attention to detail and service, my family thought it was well worth it. Another option presented to us at the consult was a payment plan through Wells Fargo at zero interest rate for one year. Not a bad deal and something to consider for those looking for a payment plan option.

Can’t say enough good things about Mark at Next Day Blinds in VA Square on Wilson. He is fantastic — an absolute expert. The company sends their employees for rotations in that store so they can be trained by him. We got blinds for 45 windows in our house last year, and were thrilled with the results. He was patient with our many questions and helped steer us to the right look for a reasonable price. He gets busy so be sure to make an appointment
