My bf and I were out shopping for our new house and wandered into this store. We both immediately saw two reasonably priced items we wanted to purchase. One was big so I had it sitting on the floor with my hand on it. The owner who was at the front counter watched us come in and immediately grab hold of both items. Moments later another person walked in and expressed interest in one of the items we had. I told the lady we were buying it and she grabbed it and took it to the front counter. The owner and her were friends and the owner let her friend take it from us and buy it. We put everything we had planned to buy down and left. I will NEVER give this store my business. Along with that situation the owner never even acknowledged our presence in the store. Very rude and bias store. I guess if your friends with them you can just take items out of customers hands. I’d like to see this place close. There are lots of great stores in arlington, this one is not one of them. Letting these type of business practices continue will not leave customers happy.

I have shopped at many antique stores and this one is my favorite, wonderful items, store merchandise always changing and no one has better prices. They even have layaway on furniture, that is already priced unbelievable low! I have gotten to know the owners, the one that works there most is the hardest working single mother that I have known. She has kept this store alive during our bad economy and has prevailed. Last post, sounds like a communication problem, which we all have at times. Don’t let this comment stop you from shopping at a fabulous place, where the management goes out of they way to give us what we love at affordable prices. There is a reason why they are still in business after years. Get to know the hardworking owners and you will love them and their business. Many, many, people shop there frequently, I wish they would also post. If you see an item you love, buy it, it’s like Costco, it will be gone if you wait. Have fun shopping!!!

I live in Arlington and used to frequent this store as it does have a variety of oddiites and cool things to look at and good prices to purchase. And on my last visit to this store I was wanting to buy 2 large End Tables and a smaller Plant Stand type table. I approached the lady at the counter who is one of the owners and I started my question,” If I were to buy 3 tables…” It was then she loudly interrupted me by brattling on and on and on about …“noooooo we don’t make deals on multiple purchases, dealers are always coming in here to scoop up deals and resell them in their own stores… so we price our things well and no one should be asking for a deal,” She carried on with her lecturing of me as she slowly wrapped two vases I was also buying. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. And I couldn’t believe that she didn’t see my expression of shock turning into anger. What I was GOING to ask her was, «if I were to buy 3 tables… can I leave them here until my husband can come down later today to pick them up?»…Needless to say I did NOT buy the 3 tables, I will no longer bring my out of town guests to their store and I will NO longer be recommending their store or shopping there. Business must be good if you can afford to treat your customers like they are conniving con artists.

Okay, full disclosure: This could be seen as a biased review because I’m related to one of the people who sells in this store, BUT I love antique shopping and can honestly say I would shop here regardless! They get a great variety of stuff that is re-stocked quickly, and the prices are really good compared to a lot of other stores. I’ve had some really great finds here, from furniture, to framed pictures, to jewelry and knick knacks. I recommend it highly!
