I like this place, it is a mom & pop place, if you have a weak nose or expecting American standard supermarket type, this is NOT the place for you, there is a Kroger right across the street. Other than that, they do carry a variety of items, and some Vietnamese snacks that I assumed they make them fresh everyday, especially the boiled peanuts! The owner is talkative and friendly, if you strike a conversation with him, he will talks your ear off, so ya, in a way, they kinda treat you like family if you are a frequent shopper.

Do not come here. The managers are extremely rude. I ordered fried fish and they told me it would be ready in 40 minutes. I came and they said it wasn’t ready. I stood there waiting for 2 hours. I ran to fiesta which is up the street and came back and it was still not ready. When I got back there, I waited an additional forty minutes standing on my feet and when they were finally done with their lies of «it’s almost ready» and actually brought the fish, it was hot like the JUST made it when I was standing there. And the manager had the guts to tell me «you waste company time. We supposed closed at 9. It 9:30» but I ordered at 6! I was so heated I almost threw the fish at them but I just respectively paid and left. Beware. You will be mistreated and disrespected at the store.

The smell of fish hits you before you walk in the door. Low tide doesn’t even come close to describing it. And it just gets worse once you are inside the store. The shelves are poorly organized and the bags, boxes, and jars are coated in dust. Not the amount of dust that collects over a month or two, but what accumulates over the span of years. No surprise, then, that a good bit of the merchandise is out of date.(Some items do not have expiration/sell/use by dates.) And what genius keeps loose eggs sitting out at room temperature? The place is foul and makes me wonder about the diligence of Arlington’s health inspectors. The staff? «Rude» would be an improvement.

Most important sensory item about this market is that it does NOT have a KO odor punch as soon as you walk in. The market seems to mostly cater to Vietnamese and Korean with some Thai snacks. The«deli» or fresh fish/meat area seemed pretty clean. I will note they have literally tons of rice located as soon as you walk in and to your right. Pretty decent frozen food section and a fair amount of fresh vegetables. They also have french bread right before check out. You can purchase four hoagie size rolls for $ 1. Keep in mind they do allow credit cards here but a minimum purchase is $ 5. If you’re looking for local asian market this is the pace to be. I look forward to coming back here and picking up some more tasty asian snacks.

The above review states that May Hao” treats you like family” because she IS their family. The people at this store have the stinkiest attitudes… stinky like their store. It is small and not well organized. The owner does not care if he loses your business because it’s more important that he treat you like a pig.
