This location is better than the Dallas location. More room, cleaner, and they serve alcohol here. Bad thing is if you don’t know Spanish bring someone that knows Spanish because the cashier dos not know ANY English!

Legit Mexican food, not TexMex. I took a few coworkers here last night. One of whom is from South America. We were all quite impressed with the food. They have many dishes on the menu which I have only seen in Mexico City. The fact that they have a full bar certainly doesn’t hurt either! We will definitely be going back here. My only complaint– if we’re eating on real dishes, give us silverware instead of plastic utensils.

Great tacos de alambre, with cheese, steak are great, with the perfect salsa. You can request whether to have it with or without tortillas. The chips & salsa are tasty too. Good ambiance, gets a bit crowded for lunch, however service is fast and waiters are fast with taking orders and serving meal.

La agua de horchata y de tamarindo are great! Please don’t come here and order a Dr. pepper, try the natural fruit drinks! I only try the torta cubana and it passed the authentic taste of how it should taste! I still need to try the other options! I also like the atmosphere!

Recommended by a friend. Owner has not updated Google or Unilocal change of address. Bragged about how authentic the food is and huge portions. We plan on making this one if our next stops. 920 N Collins St Arlington, TX76011‑6024 United States Behind the Shamrock gas station in a strip mall on the south end. Let’s get this place back on the charts. Don’t want to loose a great restaurant.

Well, La Hechizera has incredible prices for pretty big portions, but I didn’t absolutely love my meal. This is a humble sized, super-casual restaurant in a strip-mall along Collins. Order at the counter and pay, then seat yourself. Meals are served on Styrofoam plates with plastic utensils(I love disposable dishware), and a roll of paper towels sits upon each table. The walls around you are bright greens and yellows, and if you’re lucky like I was, a Jackie Chan movie in Spanish will be playing on the mounted TV! There are a ton of options when it comes to the eats; things you’re definitely familiar with(quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, tres leche cake), and then some things you’re not sure about(huaraches, pambozas, tlacoyos, sencillas). I decided to go with the huarache… It’s basically a giant, oval-shaped piece of fried corn masa topped with refried beans, tomato, lettuce, avocado, and your meat of choice; I went with pastor(pork). It came out looking gorgeous, but it was simply hard to eat! First of all, I’m not used to eating them, so maybe I’m doing something wrong. It’s almost like a giant piece of pizza… I wanted to cut it into bites, but I had trouble with the plastic knife and Styrofoam plate… I was sawing through the plate a bit; oops! I also didn’t love the meat — it seemed to be a bunch of tiny, fatty pieces. Besides that, my meal was good. The veggies and avocado were very fresh, and the fried corn masa was delicious(but heavy, you fill up fast). I bought a can of coca-cola to pair with my lunch, but there are a ton of authentic options; a variety of Joya sodas and Mexican coke if you aren’t digging the corn syrup. Try the horchata! It’s cold and creamy and so yummy, with just the right amount of spice. I think I’ll return in the future and give this place another shot. There are so many menu items to choose from for really low prices, and the service is speedy and smiley. La Hechizera — I’ll be back!
