Kowloon still sucks after all this time. I’ve been avoiding them but this was an invite. We ordered off the menu instead of dim sum. Where do I start? Ok, everything was bad. Too salty, too sweet, batter too thick. Everyone left feeling let down. They were told Kowloon had improved. It’s all lies. Head to ABC or FCBBQ. You’ll thank me. Don’t ever want to RTE.

Have been to this restaurant several times. First time was pretty happy with their fried dumplings so we went back the next day to get dumplings to go. We wound up being shorted one dumpling per order. When I called to ask what happened, I was told that this was the correct number. Based on other times we went, this was a lie. We decided to shrug it off as a one off. The second mess up which prompted this review happened tonight, Christmas. Now, I understand holidays can have their own brand of crazy and I appreciate any business that stays open. I ordered 3 orders of fried dumplings to go, gave my phone number, and then was told 15 minutes to be ready. Husband rrived right at the 15 minute mark and was told to wait 5 – 10 more minutes. They had my husband wait fifteen minutes. So he waits, and then is told«oh sorry! No more fried dumplings. No one told me they were out.» If the kitchen told the hostess that the order was not ready and would be another 5 to 10 minutes, I am calling bullshit that the kitchen would then say fifteen minutes later that there are no more fried dumplings and that they ran out awhile ago. There were only about 10 tables with people there so they didn’t seem busy. While the dumplings are good, we won’t be going back. As far as other food that we’ve had, most was decent or so-so. The duck we ordered was so lacking in the meat department(mostly bones) that I honestly wonder between that and the last couple problems on their part if they are actively trying to discourage non-asian clientele.

Only go here for the dim sum on the weekends which is pretty good. Always have alot of carts going around… service is decent. Although the restaurant could use some remodeling…

First and last experience. Ordered a disgusting plate of «pork» it had nothing but fat, very very little meat. The few pieces of actual meat were good so I’m sure if it had more meat it would have been excellent. And the sesame chicken had No sesame seeds on it! The waiter was really nice made the experience better.

Very expensive for Dim Sum. I have been to hundreds of Chinese Restaurants in 10 states and through out Asia. This one is not good food at all. Waiters and waitresses are texting and chat while working. Two adults and 2 kids with the bills of $ 80.00. I had the same amount of foods and much better quality other place for less than $ 45.00.

My family have been here since I was a child. And one thing that’s for sure, food quality here has been on a huge decline. What was I thinking, coming here on Christmas Eve? Came here after Mass looking forward to some warm wonton noodle soup. Unfortunately, not only were we seated in the VERYCORNER of the place(honestly it was basically pitch black) they don’t even serve soup here anymore so that was a huge bummer to begin with. The little bowl of wonton soup — we were promised 4 wontons, I was given three. It literally just tasted like chicken stock. Hu Tieu Ap Chao in BBQ Pork — The meat was sour… Do I need to say more? Stir Fry Combination Noodles — A little bland, nothing soy sauce couldn’t fix. Chrysanthemum tea — I really thought you couldn’t mess this up, but I guess you can. LOL There had already been sugar added in along with the separate bowl. The only thing was was OK here, was the service. Our waiter, not gonna lie, seemed like he was on something. He was a little TOO fast, and he was just shaking and everything. I don’t know. It was off, but I can’t be mean because he did his best. Maybe it was a long holiday shift. But thanks to the waiter, I can actually rate this place one star! You can find Dim Sum elsewhere, trust me.

My brother just had his wedding reception here. Perhaps because we have better choices in Sacramento, CA but this place is horrible. The food was at best medicore and the staff was very unprofessional. Staff sat milling at the tables decorated for the guests, helped themselves to the cheese and crackers we put out for the guest. We asked for sweet and sour sauce and a knife. They said they didn’t have any. Really… a restaurant doesn’t have any knives?! A worker even took pictures of the reception with his phone. $ 500/table…what a rip off!!! This place wouldn’t last where I lived! We even had to force them to serve the kids… I am not sure what they were waiting for. We told them the kids were hungry. Terrible!

I drive an hour every few weeks just to eat here! It is so delicious. We always order several plates and share them with the whole table. The curry chicken, chicken vermicelli noodles, & jelly fish are some of our favorite dishes. We love this place and have been coming here for years. Everyone is so friendly too and gives great service.

Try the Roast Duck if you like duck. Very tasty. These guys are open until 2AM. I used to study there all the time late at night when I attended UT Arlington.

I have been to Kowloon several times for Dim Sum and twice for their restaurant. The food is comparable to other Chinese restaurants in DFW, not the worst and not the best. I don’t really like coming here because the location is somewhat sketchy and the service is mediocre. The pricing is average.

We have been to Kowloons on 3 occasions All were for weddings receptions. The decorations are done by the wedding not the restaurant. They had made these wonderful fall wreath like origami mobiles and hung them above each table. Very Cool. It is a medium size room for a wedding in a rectangle shape. The tables are Asian family style, sturdy and nice. My complaint is they always put 10 people at a table. This is done because you are charged by the table for food. 8 people per table would be much more comfortable. The food at these events has varied in dishes and quality. The quality at this event was very good. They had Jelly-fish salad(very good), Shrimp Balls, Lobster, Scallops-Squid-Vegtable in potato rattan shaped basket(very good), Quails(fav), Crab Maw Soup, White Fish, Fried Rice and of-course Fruit plate. Overall I truely love going to these events. I was the only non-asian at our table. Many of of friends where there but we were seated at a table were we knew no-one, We had lovely conversations about watch making, oil & gas, gardening and working out. The Bride was lovely in her wedding dress, but when she changed into the traditional wedding Ao Dai to visit tables I was impressed. Very nice place for a reception.

This place is pretty horrible. I’d rather not eat dim sum then come here anymore. It use to be decent here, but food is usually cold unless you come at peak times and you may be lucky to get hot food. To me, Dim Sum should be STEAMING hot, not luke warm or less. I only come here when my father makes me because its the only place he likes the chicken feet at. Most of their food has so much filler in it that you can barely taste what you’re eating. Makes me very sad to see this place go down hill. I used to love this place as a kid. I’ll save my cravings for when I go to Houston.

I’ve had better Dim Sum. The shumai was sour, the shrimp dumplings’ wrap was too thick. The chicken feet were okay, probably the only thing i ate in the dim sum. The service was great, great servers. $ 2.95 per plate if you’re getting the usual dim sum.

Ordered sauteed duck with seafood. the food was saturated with oil. they need to learn to cook the duck separate. The fried dumplings weren’t to bad, nothing prepackaged, seemed homemade but batter was a little doughy. food tasted like it was premade and stored to be recooked. dumplings were chared on one side as if they took it out of the fridge and threw on a skillet. duck tasted tough almost like turkey then splashed with with vegetable oil. drinks are overpriced, young coconut milk for 3 $? I saw the waiter pour from a can that cost less than a dollar. No beer on tap only in bottle, guessing they don’t have a license to serve. Would avoid the duck dishes, they offer to make something else instead but I declined. 2 drink and fried dumpling for 11 $.

I love the dim sum here ! I don’t come when it’s just a restaurant but the dim sum is nice. The servers are great they are alway walking around with the food so you don’t have to wait for someone to come take your order you just pick what you want. There are some servers there who are just amazing and they take care of you like you are the king or queen but their are other servers who don’t care and make you just wait for the ladies with the cart. The food is good and I love their jasmine tea! I don’t know how spell the food but the food is great, if your looking for a good dim sum spot I would recommend come here.

The best thing here is their dim sum. It’s served on the weekend from morning to like 3 – 4. Food is served in small portions on small carts that is pushed around the restaurant. You choose what you want to eat and they mark it on a sheet. You have to get over the old décor of this place but their dim sum is delicious. Be warned, it can get expensive, quick.

So I guess this place can be hit or miss judging by the reviews. Luckily for me, today they we working it well. Dim Sum seems to be the only reason most patrons here today are enjoying, so I joined in. As soon as I say down all three carts appeared at my table, all asking what I wanted, and the waiter kept asking me what to drink. Crazy. I started with a tasty dumpling soup, pork steamed buns and crispy pork. All tasty. And filling. I was too full to eat more sadly. Arlington is not San Francisco or Seatle, so lower your flavor expectations if you’ve had the best. Service was very attentive for a typical Asian restaurant.

I have been eating dim sum here for a long time. This location has been around for 15+ years for a reason. It’s not the best thing you’ve ever had, but it’s good. Sometimes the service is mediocre, but for the most part my glass stays full and plates are cleared in a timely fashion. I’ve never ordered off the menu– only ordered from the rolling carts. The food is authentic. The earlier in the day you come for dumplings, the better. It starts to slow down after 11 am and the items can sit and steam for a while. I’m fond of the shrimp dumplings, crispy shrimp balls, pork pot stickers and the radish cake with porky bits. I do wish they offered xiao long bao(I LOVE soup dumplings) but alas, they do not! Richardson is a bit far to go for my dumpling fix, so I come here.

The worst dim sum I’ve ever had. I live fairly close to Richardson and have made frequent visits to Houston, hence, my review has been influenced by much better dim sum places. The restaurant was dark when we got in at lunch time on a Sunday. There was about three carts and they all carried the same food. They had limited variety. What shocked me was plates with kolache being served covered by nothing but grease! Out of the four items, none were even close to decent. The shrimp rolls were sour, lady with cart was not prepared with the sauce. The shrimp dumplings’(har gau) wrapper was too thick and the shrimp, too, had a sour taste to it. Our final bill came up to $ 16. We usually get a decent full meal at Kirin Court with at least six items for $ 18.
