If you have not been to VFW post 3150 you just dont know what your missing. The post has gone through many changes over the last year. First we are now a non smoking post. After receiving feedback from veterans and their families we have decided to make this a non smoking environment. So bring the family by and enjoy the company. Also we have really focused on getting the new generation of veterans in the door and active. 5 or our 10 officers this year are from the Iraq Afghanistan era including me your lovable post commander. So if you havent been here come by and visit us. We are open 7 days a week and have happy hour every Friday. Hope to see you all there.

Tucked into a corner of older Arlington (on a side street mostly used as a shortcut to avoid waiting at the light), this VFW post does a pretty good job. I am a fairly new veteran (got back from Afghanistan in Jan 2012) but my father is a member as well. So to start off this place has a steep entry cost, you have to have served overseas in a designated war zone (check out the VFW site for all the minutea), other than that membership costs are pretty low. I think it great that there is an organization that allows vets to congregrate together in a protected place where there is a common bond of service.
