Awesome FOOD! Great customer service too! One of my favorite places to go!

There’s a good and a bad here: the good: amazingly fresh bruschetta. We got the mushroom and tomato/mozzarella/basil. Amazing. The bad: their pizza. We ordered a margarita pizza expecting to see a nice thin crust with fresh mozzarella circles melted on top. Instead, they brought is out what was basically a New York style cheese pizza with some shredded basil on top. A real shame. We also didn’t like the fishy dressing in the Cesar salad. But that is likely a preference thing. But the margarita sin was why I decided to write a review.

This place is amazing! I have been driving by the restaurant for over two years, and I wish I’d tried it before this week. Just after we sat down, the server brought over yummy bread(warm!), which we dipped in olive oil. We ordered the proscuitto wrapped scallops to start, and the flavors were outstanding! I ordered the«build your own» pasta with carbonara sauce, and my husband ordered gnocchi with mushroom and sausage. We were both blown away by the deliciousness of it all. The sauces were so rich, and everything was cooked to perfection. In addition, the portions are generous. The atmosphere was very comfortable(not too loud or too crowded), and I love how this is a neighborhood joint. Even better, the prices are sooo reasonable! You won’t be disappointed!

I’m torn. Service was great. Atmosphere nice. Prices… Standard for Italian in NOVA. Food was good. But … I felt like I could’ve made the same dishes and had the same outcome. Flavors were so-so. I also felt like everyone in the restaurant could hear what we talked about… It was a Friday night. I prefer Faccia Luna down the street.

I’ve gone to this restaurant before and had a decent experience. Tonight, however, was awful. I really mean absolutely, unforgivably awful. But it started so well with so many promises. We chose this restaurant because it had gluten free pasta(a member of the group has celiac disease) and an unlimited pasta option. We were under the impression that the table could share the unlimited pasta special, mostly because the menu says that the restaurant encourages you to share. All of these reasons ended up being invalid. Each person must buy their own unlimited pasta, even though there is enough pasta for at least two people in each bowl. They do not serve gluten free pasta – ever – even though it was listed on the menu. We decided to give the restaurant a shot anyway. We ordered two salads, which were both quite good. The veal piccata was over cooked and had way too much lemon and capers, making it completely inedible. The sides were ok though. The puttanesca sauce was like licking a block of salt. Again, inedible. The vino bianco sauce was really just poorly done burschetta with a hit of cheesy aftertaste. Basically, it was relatively tasteless tomato water. The penne pasta was over cooked. The orecchiette was decently prepared, with a slight chewiness though somewhat unpleasant appearance. The pesto was acceptable. Nothing absolutely amazing, but was decent. We told the waitress several times that we were not enjoying the food. She was dismissive, issuing an apology to the tune of I’m sorry you didn’t like it. Needless to say, we were charged full price for everything. Be sure to specifically ask for more pasta or drinks if you so desire. You will not be asked if you would like a refill on either, at least that was our experience.

This was a great experience for my familia. Real southern Italian food. We recommend the seafood pasta and Lemmon cello. The pistachio sauce is also great. The service is great friendly and concerned for your experience.

We have tried to get to this place for weeks and another place that’s closed on Monday(just an FYI). We sat down and got right to business. We got some wine, beer and the bread was dropped off. It was yummy like little pieces of ciabatta and its served with oil for dipping. We got the side salad which we devoured(I would recommend ordering two because it’s pretty small to share but it’s not necessary). I order the penne vodka with chicken and asked for more bread for dipping! I enjoyed my dish — the only thing, I felt my chicken was kind of spicy or heavily marinated. I just expected grilled chicken so it did taste a little off because it makes it taste differently. My suggestion is to let the sauce do all talking for the dish — the chicken doesn’t need a lot of flavor besides some salt and pepper maybe. My bf ordered the chicken parm(no surprise there) and he had not one complaint and I tried it too and it was scrumptious. Maybe the next time I’ll get the penne and ask for breaded chicken because his was delicious. Enjoy :)

Il Radicchio has been a long-time favorite of my husband and I. It has a quaint, hole-in-the-wall feel that is perfect for an affordable date night. The menu and the chef have changed since we first started going there 2 years ago, but the food – pizza especially– is still very good. We dined there for the first time in a long time last night, and we were pleased from start to finish. To start, they have *my kind* of bruschetta – not too crunchy, perfect texture. You can choose 2 types of bruschetta, which was a nice touch. My husband ordered their gnocchi dish, which was absolutely fantastic. The portion size was perfect. I, however, accidentally ordered their personal buffalo chicken pizza when I thought it was a BBQ chicken pizza. It was *completely* my fault, but they were happy to make a new pizza for me and didn’t charge me, even though I offered to. Great customer service and amazing pizza. When my husband and celebrated our 1-year anniversary there last year, we were more regular customers than we are now. They brought us out a complimentary dessert even after though we told them we decided not to order one. Their wine selection is also very good, from our experience. We’ve stuck with the reds. I’ve also seen small families there, which makes sense. It’s a nice restaurant but not inappropriate for children. I’m so glad we went back there recently. We will be going back more often!

I’m giving this place 4 stars, as it rounds out my 4.25 star review. Great little place in Court House, we came here on a Sunday night. When we walked in, there were a couple larger parties waiting, but since we were 2, we were immediately seated. The place was practically full. There was a wide variety of patrons here– spanning from old foreign people to younger yuppies of Arlington. When we sat down, we were greeted with water. The waiter gave us time to think about drinks. My guest wasn’t drinking, so I ordered a simple house Cabernet. He took a while to come back, but it wasn’t too long, so it turned out fine. We had to ask for bread, which was tasty, as we were both starving. To start, we got zuppa pomodoro, which was simple, but good. Not too exciting. We both devices to get pasta dishes. I got the gnocchi with mushrooms and arugula, which was pretty tasty. The portions here are quite sizable. My guest got the ravioli– which he also enjoyed. We were too stuffed for desert. What I really like about this place is the classic feel. It has good ambience, service and has been a staple in Arlington for a while. I would recommend it to others. Simple Italian, done right.

This wonderful Italian restaurant reminded me of a classy traditional Maggianos with great food. The restaurant is very tiny and I recommend getting a reservation. I would also warn that you will be sitting very close to your neighbors. I love the class the interior with the yellow brick and painted bunnies and cats on the walls. Regarding the food we started with the calamari. We are used to a crispy calamari and therefore this wasn’t very impressive for us. There were perhaps five pieces of calamari amidst some white beans and arugula. The calamari was extremely chewy and not very good. However the sauce on it was fairly delicious. The bread that the hand of the tables is all right. It’s not a very fluffy focaccia and I definitely preferred the bread from Maggianos. Onto the main course we had an excellent experience. I ordered some extra side of garlic kale and rosemary potatoes. Both were stunningly delicious. For my main course I had the artichoke ravioli with Alfredo sauce. Also added to the pasta were the roasted artichokes and spinach. The roasted artichokes were absolutely superb as were the raviolis. I did think the Alfredo sauce was overly rich and I couldn’t have more than a couple bites. The other person in my group chose the soundman Penne dish. The salmon in this dish was amazing as was the sauce I really wish was more salmon. For dessert I had the tiramisu. This was quite possibly one of the best tiramisus I had ever had! It was very very fluffy and very moist. I could not stop eating it. Go for some fun but maybe get the bruschetta instead of the calamari and don’t have high hopes for the bread.

A fantastic dinning experience is what describes this restaurant… Authentic Italian food at affordable prices with a fantastic patio that accommodates all the friends we go with… I am torn between the pistachio sauce and unlimited penne & the custom made Stromboli; everything is so good! definitely adds value to a cheat day meal… The staff in general is great and turnaround times are fairly good, adding to exceptional service… Rishi is a great host PS: If you are a pizza lover and make your own pizza, do try their pizza dough, high quality and nominal price.

Absolutely delicious salad with white balsamic vinegarette dressing and a New York style pepperoni pizza. Great place for the family after a Nats game. Definitely coming again.

3.5 stars from us. There was ample outdoor seating and it was a kind of romantic spot. We came here tonight for date night. We each had a glass of wine, reasonably priced, and shared a Cesar salad. We enjoyed the salad and agreed that it was well made, but had boxed croutons. The waitress brought us one small basket of bread which we ate with the olive oil that was on the table. There was no rush to our service, which was perfectly fine by me for date night. My date did notice and comment on the speed of service being a little too slow. We each ordered the make your own pasta with shrimp. What is definitely interesting about this option is that it is technically bottomless with unlimited refills. This is great and makes sense if you have an attentive waitress. I couldn’t have handled more, but my date could have gone for seconds if our waitress had been attentive enough to see how we were doing or to ask if he’d like more. In addition to the slightly lacking service, the price we paid was a little high for the single serving. Each of our meals were something like $ 21.00 a plate, plus a salad and drink. The shining star was certainly the pasta. This place knows how to cook excellent pasta. I had the most perfectly cooked al dente spaghetti which was enough to make me very pleased with our choice for the evening, Lastly, the man who I think was the owner or maybe the manager, was attentive and charming and very interested in ensuring we were having a nice experience. He was great. We aren’t too sure if we want to come back, but this is definitely a safe choice for a nice romantic meal and earns bonus points for having a parking lot behind the establishment.

Came here tonight with family. Honestly didn’t have the highest expectations for this place. To me it seemed like another forgettable, run-of-the-mill italian joint. But after enjoying three exellent and en-pointe courses; I have to say, that if I find myself In that area of Arlington again I don’t think I could resist going back to try something I didn’t have last time. The only real criticism I could make is that their wine list is definitely not up to the standard that the food is at, though an easy overhaul in that department would not be difficult or unforeseeable. Also the lack of liquor on the drinks list might turn off some diners looking to finish their meal with a glass of sambuca or scotch. The service was great, we felt very welcomed and attended to. This is so close to a 5 star rating it pains me…

I really, really wanted to love this place. Maybe I need to try a few other things, but my experience was disappointing. I got the penne pollo — it was so rich and sweet that I could hardly eat it. The sauce was almost all goat cheese and thus too sweet(and I love goat cheese). My sister got the all you can eat pasta with sausage and cream sauce — not too bad, but nothing to write home about. My mom got a pizza and I did think that was pretty tasty, along with the sizable portion of the insalate de mele.

Ok bread because that all I have been eating for the past two hours. Long waits, tacky Décor, and over all bad service. Not an ideal restaurant. If you want food go to the 7 – 11 across the street. The all you can eat pasta is a rip off. They have long waits so by the time you get the pasta you have to inhale It to leave only two hours late. It took us 30 min and asking 3 different waiters to get water. When we got the water it was all ice and almost no water. The food when it came was cold and tasteless the basil on top of the pizza was unwashed and dirty. We had to order twice because by the time they rung in the order they were out of a ingredient. Don’t come here

Wow, this restaurant was a surprise to us. We have driven by this place for years and finally went in recently. It looks like a little house on the outside and inside is decorated like a cottage with adorable peter rabbit like images on the walls. It’s very comfortable and casual, and the restaurant had a great energy. The food is amazing here. We all seemed to gravitate towards the artichoke ravioli and selected different sauces to accompany the pasta. The pizza and appetizers are fantastic as well.
