This place has really gone down, way down. Three words-new management needed. Everything from the food to the seating area was awful.

Well I have been eating here for years and the food and service has gone way down. The last time I was there was it The salad dressing was water down The food was cold And had poor service I spoke to the manager and he seemed like he could not care about anything I asked 3 times about the dressing and he said he would fix it. But never did the 4 others in my party was very unhappy. And very disappointed The last time I complained I was told to call there main number This is by far one of the worst places I have dinned Stay away

I love the food and this place is great for family outings. We are a family of 7 and we come every weekend. Love it! Oh and they have steak on weekends!

This buffet is way over priced for what it is. This placed is packed which is good because food turnover was pretty good, almost guaranteed«fresh» food. But there was nothing special about any of the food. Some tasted like it was from a can and others tasted like bad cafeteria food. Service was really good and friendly. I would rather take my $ 12+ dollars and go to McDonalds.

We went to this place today service was ok but had no plates at any food stations and almost all the food stations were empty that disappointed me tonight. we go there a lot but tonight there buffet were almost empty looks like they are closing at 6:00Pm cleaning up everything then i asked the manger are you closing sir he said no then why don’t you have any food at any stations he has no answer. Then the start bringing some food out that was not enough because so many people are waiting it all gone less than two minutes.

Boy, it takes a lot of nerve to charge $ 12.95 for this buffet. I used to LOVE Furr’. Back in my younger days, I’d eat at Furr’s Cafeteria several times a week. The food was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. Now fast-forward to today to the new Furr’s Fresh Buffet. This was on Friday night with a pretty good crowd. Almost all the food I had just tasted old. I guess they start cooking early to make sure they have food for the crowd but it really shows in the quality. Even simple things like the mac & cheese and green beans were just mushy and not worth eating. The only saving grace was the dessert bar. Their desserts are still as good as ever. The service was good but this is a buffet so most of the service is done by me. Sorry Furr’s but your price has way topped your food quality. I doubt we will be back.

The food was ok. Some foods I didn’t get to even try because they were gone right after it was put out. My biggest issue with the restaurant was dirty plates. Had to go through a few plates to find one that looked clean enough to eat on. I think I won’t go back to that restaurant again.

Why am I eating a salad at a buffet place? Because the mass of humanity that have descended on this place have gleaned everything else, like locusts. I have eaten here once before, and I wasn’t impressed. In Furr’s defense, it was late, after a Cowboy’s home game. The place was picked clean. I decided to give them another try. 30 years ago, when I was in the Marines, we called places like this Chow Halls(now they’re called Dining Facilities, or D-Facs). Even on the USMC Chow Hall scale, this place would rate three stars, even lower than the tent city outside of Pohang Korea where I spent three months guarding an empty dock and MRE Mountain. Yes, Furr’s Buffet is institutional food on steroids. It was early Saturday evening. One has to be nimble when negotiating the hungry masses. Whenever an employee placed a new tray of food on the line, there is a beeline to it. No matter what it is. It’s sort of like the lines of people outside stores in the former Soviet Union. No matter what it was or if it was needed, people would swarm to see what it was. It’s the same at the Furr’s buffet line. I was able to score a couple beef patties swimming in broth, a piece of country fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and some steamed vegetables. Everything had come from a frozen box, bag, or in the case of the potatoes, rehydrated. Everything was pretty bland, which is typical of institutional food. I stayed away from the grill line. The last steak I got from there, I had to wait 20 minutes and it was well-done and gristle-y. It’s not easy cooking for thousands of people daily, I’ve done it. I think the management can be a little more creative and take some risks. The saving grace for this place are the desserts. The desserts are probably the only thing they actually make. Tonight, they had several variations of apple and pecan pies, and a coconut meringue pie. The apple fillings came from a can, but the crust was flaky. The coconut meringue pie was pretty good. Over at the salad bar, there was a lime Jello with pineapple and cottage cheese, something my mom makes. This thing was good, just like mom’s. I gave Furr’s a extra star for the desserts and my server, who was overworked but continued to hustle and bring out fresh drinks and a great attitude. If you are looking for a buffet in the area, I recommend China King across from Fry’s, or for non-buffet Chinese, go to Panda Delite across from China King on Matlock.

Good for the price… And lots of assortment of foods… However some of the food isn’t fresh at all… Could’ve been because of the time of day I went but still wasn’t bad.

Furr’s makes me wish I was incredibly overweight without a care about body image or my health. It would be even more awesome if I could just gorge on everything here and have the food transported out of my body before it hit my stomach. I don’t know why there are two pointless salad bars blocking the rest of the terrible goodness that is «Southern» eats. Ain’t nobody got time for that. My nose followed a platter of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy(two types), corn bread, chicken fried steak, corn, stuffing… etc. The stewed liver onions and sliced potatoes were complete salty goodness. The seasonal veggies(regular and sweet potatoes) were salty. There were quarters of rotisserie chicken that were salty. I tried some Louisiana bread pudding and it too was salty. My mouth was still shriveling up after four servings of unsweetened tea later. More please, I wanted more, but I had to stop after two plates and save the enchiladas and steak being served at the«Grilling» station for another visit. I watched Pat Baby devour his fried okra with ketchup as I sat in disgust and shame. The moment he brought a plate of fresh ribs to the table while hefty patrons flocked to its origin, I knew I must have been part of the buffet scene in The Nutty Professor(1996). This was my first meal of the day and I once was starving prior to the madness. Now, I sat while my inner fatty cried out for more salt and wonderfully thick and heavy mac n’ cheese while my body punished me for desecrating it. Furr’s allows you to have Thanksgiving anytime of the year. It was definitely one of the better cheap American buffets I’ve been to. ~$ 28 for two adults with drinks isn’t that bad considering the amount and variety of food available. The rest of the place is fairly clean(although it is pretty new) despite all of the kids running around. Although, with that much awful food for you and a packed restaurant, I would not recommend venturing to the restroom unless it was an emergency.

This was probably the best buffet I’ve ever been too. It blows away Golden Coral. I wish we had one in Miami

My in-laws and ourselves decided to go to Furr’s the Saturday before Father’s Day. There was absolutely no crowd. We were waiting to pay and be let through and a group of waiters and waitresses were just standing at the entrance to the table area watching the customers and jabbing and laughing at all of them. They just stood there. We all sit down and the waitress came around and acted bothered each time we asked for a drink. Our waitress and another lady stood by our tables impatiently waiting for us to leave-made some comments and rolled their eyes. The food-forget it. Dried out chicken and tough beef. Never again.

I have no idea why this place is always so packed. I mean the price isn’t even cheap. The food was just ok I could have spent less money or the same amount for a better meal. The place is super packed and the stations are all cluttered and people are forced to just walk n bump each other just to get food. The fresh grill section was a joke I got a slice of roast beef and I needed a chainsaw to cut it. The fried chicken was hard and over cooked it felt like I was eating a turtle shell just to get to the meat which was juicy but flavorless. Over all the staff was cool my waitress didn’t go out of her way or anything but she checked as she passed by so the service wasn’t that bad. I will not visit this place again to much clutter in there for the slightly below average food that they offer. This place only got two stars cause I got the window seat I requested.

I’ve been to Furrs 3 times and I have no complaints! The food is always good and fresh and they have plenty of people there to help out if anyone needs it. I like the diffident types of food on the buffet. I normally do not eat at buffets but this one is clean and is replenished often. I went to the breakfast buffet yesterday and it was GOOD! All of the things I love were being served. Overall the restaurant was clean, had clean restrooms, great friendly stuff and good fresh food!

I kept driving by this location and always saw the bright lights and full parking lot. So, I let my curiosity strike me and was attracted to it like a deer in headlights. Alas, I walk into the establishment excited and ready to devour everything! We get seated and our server, Connie, greeted us delightfully. She let us on our adventure through the eats of the South. I tried literally everything… and was disappointed by everything except the onions that were supposed to partner with the livers. I took one walk around through this place and was ready to leave. What a let down. There is nothing«fresh» about Furr’s Fresh Buffet. The ONIONS were the best thing about this place though. Sad. If you HAVE to go here, by all means, ask for Connie. She gets a 5 Star Rating and I’m sure she tastes better than the food.

I tried dissuading the family from coming back here for quite awhile but one day finally gave in so they’d stop asking. It actually was worse than my first visit. The desserts weren’t even good anymore and no coconut shrimp. Now there’s no reason to come here at all.

This place is mediocre. I haven’t been here since there was a location in Euless off of 183. Not too much to say. Went with my girlfriend on a Friday night. Food was fresh but there wasn’t much of a flavor of some things. The steak was by far the best part as well as the mashed potatoes with brown gravy. The guy cooking the steak, Tannin, was a super chill guy. He knows his steak. They all looked well done to me, I told him I wanted medium. He told me to give him one second because they were almost finished. I waited along with a few others for what seemed like a waste of time. The steak had great grill marks and looked really juicy but little did I know it would be so good. I have been to many places for steak and this is amongst the best. The cut was very nice and very tender. Juices were dripping with every gentle slice with my knife. It was great, Tannin knows his stuff. Overall, it was an American food buffet with exceptional steak. Some waiters seemed to enjoy each other more than guests though.

There is a bunch of food to choose from. Which is not always a good thing. I eat way to much but that is my fault. You need to look around at the choices then pick and choose. You will not be able to try everything. So be picky. You will have every choice you can thank of, meat, vegetable. potato, rice, Mexican, Italian, meatloaf, this is only a start. I have no problem with Furrs my mom loves them. It is just buffets are not my favorite way to eat. After a while they all taste the same. Now I will go back one day it just won’t be soon.

The food is usually good but today was terrible. The steak was too salty, the liver tasted bad and the prime rib dry. What happened?
