We hit up Fox and Hound every couple months or so with friends. There are several sections in the place. We tend to gravitate to the larger room on the right of the bar with the pool tables and shuffleboard. This is also the least smoky part in my experience.(Seriously, don’t wear anything there that’s hard to wash, it’ll reek of ash.) There’s a pretty extensive menu to go along with the drink specials. I got the chips and salsa last time with spinach dip(yum!) and the hummus plate, both excellent. We get the pretzel sticks a lot since they are amazing, and the burgers are always great. We have always gotten quick and friendly service here. It’s not too crowded so we can play darts or pool or whatever with minimal waiting. If it wasn’t for the smoke I’d give 5 stars.

Overpriced on drinks and food. Although the waitress was nice but she was not educated on prices or specials. I would of rather experienced a noisy atmosphere for better quality food and service at a fraction of the cost. There weren’t any refills on chips and salsa is that really what this world has come to. When it cost five dollars there really should be refills.

Terrible service. Everytime I have came here. They do not treat anyone that is not a local very well. Food was very good. Service sucks.

Great place to come with a large group of people or even a date night if you prefer. The bar is divided into three areas — the entrance(middle of the bar) is full of bar tables and a decent sized bar with plenty of stools. I prefer going over to the left side(when facing the bar) because it has a huge projection screen and multiple flat screens for your viewing pleasure. They also have golden tee, big buck, etc over there if you get bored. The right side of the bar is HUGE and filled up with dart boards and pool tables. Again there are several flat screens in this area as well. They have excellent drink specials during the week that will make your bar tab relatively inexpensive. It isn’t just your normal bud light, coors light, miller light specials(they have those too). They have specials for local Texas craft beer, liquor, etc. The food is actually very good as well. My two favorites would be the Italian panini with a side of sweet potato fries and then the loaded nachos with chicken. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is the smoke. It is absolutely horrible. You are going to be hit with a wall of smoke the second you walk through the doors and you will not get used to it. It is so bad that unfortunately a lot of times we choose another bar to go sit at so we don’t have to deal with the smoke.

Only thing good here is food. Feel like I’m getting lung cancer every time I step in this place. The smoke is horrible. I need to wear an oxygen mask in here. And they charge cover for boxing! Really, who watches boxing anymore!

Right when I walked in I knew it was going to be a great place for my friends and i. We were greeted right when we walked in. It was open seating so we got to choose where we wanted to sit. My friends and I got there around 12:30am. We drove around to find a bar that had there kitchen open due to the reason 1 of my friends was our D.D. so he can eat while we drank. Lol as we sat immediately our waitress JESSICA brought some menus over and immediately gave us the specials which were $ 5.50 top shelf Long islands and $ 6.50 nurse bettys. Not only did she inform us about that but she also gave us info on the ALL-STAR Club which 2 of my friends and I signed up and became members. :) The restaurant/bar was very clean, just the right temperature and not very busy. Which is the way I like it. Through out the night the manager CASSIDY kept checking on our table and others to see how things were going which I loved it showed that management is present and on the floor helping customers. I just found my new favorite bar here in Arlington!!! I visited the location on 9−5−15

Went to this bar for the 1st time Friday night and had a great time. They do allow smoking which was surprising. The drinks were great and the food was good. I really enjoyed the music videos that were playing, and the beer pong game. Over all its a good neighborhood bar.

It was okay. Nothing to really brag about. Food was meh and so was service. No wonder it was practically empty… Might be back.

This is a weekly destination for me. Every Tuesday, all small drafts are $ 2. Hard to beat. The food is quite good as well. Not just wings and burgers. The entrees and sandwiches are worth a trip. The French dip and Black Forest are my choices. My only complaint is that they recently changed their menu. They removed their paninis and changed their soft pretzels. This is unfortunate as they were some of the best things on the menu. Especially those pretzels with the beer cheese dip. Still, this is a good place to go for food and drink. Especially Tuesdays.

Two-dollar Tuesdays is where it’s at! They have a lot of great, daily drink specials that you can find something for everyone. Fox & Hound locations are fairly similar, nice and open with lots and lots of seating. The one in Arlington(Green Oaks) has several dart boards and a shuffleboard table. Plenty of TVs and, of course, the TVs playing constant music videos(very fun!). The food menu changes on the regular, not always changes that I like, but there’s typically something I will order. Pretzels as an appetizer, sandwiches are all solid, so are the 3 types of tacos.(they call them street tacos, but they’re just tacos). I will always, always be up for Fox & Hound. They’ve got a great thing going, and I always have fun and leave happy.

Went here for my birthday in April and had a blast! Very spacious rooms and friendly staff. Enjoyed the pool and table tennis. Ordered a couple of the big party platters and Omg it was soooo good! Especially those pretzel bread sticks and the chicken tenders! Definitely going back and adding them to my fun list of places.

This Fox & Hound has been here forever. Over the years it’s always been a pretty good place, and at times it’s been somewhere I would hang out from time to time. Layout has a front room when you walk in, with a room on each side, there are some pool tables, and dart boards in the side rooms. Quantity of pool tables has declined some, but doubt you’ll ever see them go away since it allows them to be grandfathered into the smoking ordinance requirements from a few years ago, thus, pool halls can allow smoking. Which, while smoking is allowed here, most of the crowd when I go isn’t smoking, and I don’t notice it much. They move the air pretty good. It’s a nice place, they’ve updated it over the years and kept it nice. They recently redid the menu, and got rid of some things, while adding several new food choices. Pretty good stuff for bar food. Burgers, sandwiches, some good appetizer options. TV’s everywhere, music video service playing on some of them, that syncs to whatever is playing over the in house speaker system, which is kinda neat. Mixed crowd, young and old. Nothing swanky, mostly all run of the mills in here. Nobody bothers anybody on my visits, which are mostly weekday nights. Can’t comment about the weekends. They run a $ 2 any draft beer special on Tuesday nights. You can’t beat it. Great deal, especially since they usually have 10+ good crafts on tap. I come here occasionally and always have a good time.

Big lack of foxes and hounds – #latenightwildlife #whereisit. People are okay. Look out for table tennis sharks. Also a great place to go if you’re content to not really have fun or get your food on time. Nice place to go when you’ve lost all of your life’s expectations.

Diamond in the rough on this side of town. Boomer jacks can step right over. Clean, great specials, super friendly staff. Definitely one of Arlington’s finest sports bars.

This place is just amazing! This is the one bar that I like out of any others. This is a good place to chill and hang out with friends while grabbing a drink while playing darts, pool or few video arcade games, and the servers are pleasant as well. Just another reason to avoid sports bars that has people cheering in the middle of no where.

It is smoky and far from pristine, but The Fox & Hound is a great place to hang out, grab a drink, and watch some football. They have tons of screens, darts, pool, daily drink specials, and pretty darn good bar food. I might come here for their pretzel roll turkey sandwich even if we weren’t watching a game.

Arlington smokers, this is the bar for YOU! This place reeks of stale cigarette smoke. I’m probably getting lung cancer just being here. Most patrons come in with cigarettes hanging out of their mouths or already in their hands. This is a smoker’s paradise. Beyond that, they have big TVs, darts, beer specials, etc. typical sports bar. The service is not great. Lower your expectations on the food and service and you’ll be okay. Better yet, if you don’t smoke, go to Boomerjacks at Lincoln square.

My friend and I stopped in on Friday night, around 8pm. We were greeted by a hostess opening the door and selected a table in the front room. FYI they permit smoking in all areas, so be aware. We started with the chips and salsa and were served a big tray of thin and crispy chips, along with a generous portion of salsa. It was a hint of sweetness, not too much cilantro and a mild heat which worked pretty well. My friend ordered the steak salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed and completely finished. At the location formerly in Sundance Square, they served a salmon salad, which was not on the menu at this location. Not sure if all locations have the same menu, but my friend was disappointed as that was her fave salad. I opted for the beer-battered fish and chops, with cole slaw and fries. I normally just eat a few fries, but these were the perfect blend of salty, crunchy and were dusted with herbs and maybe Parmesan cheese. I ate almost all of them! The dinner came with three pieces of fish, smoking hot, with a crispy batter that held together. The slaw was crisp, not too heavy on the vinegar and the right temperature… cool but not cold cold. Made it through two pieces and nibbled the third but did not join the clean plate club with this entrée. I ordered coffee with my meal and it was served in a glass mason jar. The first cup was lukewarm so I could pick the jar up but my refill was made fresh, so it was too hot to pick up for quite a while… who serves coffee in a glass with no handle? Odd! Overall, great service, including frequent checks by our waitress as well as a table touch from a manager. We were surprised to find the place to be quite deserted but maybe they kick it for lunch or happy hour. Neither of us had been here and years and we were very pleased with our choice.

It’s that time of the year! When the leaves begin to fall, we break out our NFL jerseys and become rabid, obnoxious, violent football fans! The one problem is that we need to find a good place to yell, scream, curse, and cheer our teams on to victory! Thank goodness that Fox & Hound in Arlington opened their doors to us Jets fans, and gave us a place to call home. After a few years of moving from place to place, this is the second season that the Jets Fan Club of DFW has resided here. The service, the staff, the food, the accommodations are all awesome! Fox & Hound is divided into 3 zones. Once you enter you’re in a bar area with several TV monitors. To the left there’s a separate room that allows smoking. It also has tables, sofas, monitors, and pool tables. To the right there’s another room that’s similar to the one on the left, but I’m not 100% sure if smoking is allowed over there. The one thing that I always order when I come here on Sundays are the pretzel sticks. You get about 4 huge sticks that come out piping hot! You get a side of some cheese dip that you can use, but most of the time I just use mustard. They’re real good either way. They have something for every type of football watching snacker… from your heavy fried foods such as nachos and cheese wedges, to the wings connoisseur, to the healthy hummus eater! They have tons of TV monitors as well as large screen projectors as well. The audio is pumped through speakers, so you’ll never miss a play call because of people running their mouths too much! Real glad that we got this spot for the season. If you’re looking for a spot to watch sports, or just to have a drink or two, this is a cool spot to drop in. Good food, full bar… enjoy! My server rocked. She had a shiner in front of me in no time. God bless Texas. The fish and chips were crunchy flakey and not fishy. The slaw was good and the tarter was tasty and tangy. Chips were crispy and nicely salted. Beer was 32 degrees and smooth. Lost points for the dragon fruit Mojito which is a pre mix and overly sweet sugar water of the worst order.
