In terms of Civil War forts, this one is not much to look at. The old fort walls are barely recognizable; I walked by them several times until I realized what they were. There is a short walking path and some picnic areas, but all in all, it’s not a particularly big place. One unique thing is you can rent park space and the adjoining C F Smith house(a Victorian-style mansion, now renovated) for events. I wasn’t able to visit inside because preparations for wedding were ongoing.
