Very good pizza across the street from the Costco in Pentagon City. Open late so can get some good pizza instead of resorting to a delivery chain. Lots of dine-in space. Staff friendly and usually quite busy — a good sign. Most of the evening crowd was understandably quite focused on drinking beer but even without such«distractions,» the pizza was really good. Toppings and cheese out to the edge. Tasty crust and sauce. Would definitely go again if in the mood for pizza in the neighborhood.

Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. Rude service, incorrect bill. Pizza not fresh, reheated. Edit — We visited at 10pm on the 19th. Upon entering we were immediate told you were closing early for the night because«it’s been a bad day» and our order would have to be to go. This was fine, as we had just checked into our hotel and could take it there. Tried to order a large pizza, then told we couldn’t, only by the slice. Asked if we could purchase six identical slices and confirmed it was the same as an 18″ pizza, but when rang up was then told we’d have to pay the by-slice price. That’s when I also saw another employee adding toppings to already-cooked slices and reheating them. Keep in mind this is all while the cashier was chatting with his friend and acting inconvenienced that we were there in the first place. I’d give you zero stars if Unilocal allowed it.

Four words: Worst. Pizza. Place. Ever. 1. They decided to close early. Don’t know if it was because they wanted to go home, or if there was some sort of accident, like a robbery. But how can a robbery occur in broad daylight? 2. We decided to walk in, and all they had was pizza by the slice, and the kinds were pepperoni, cheese, something like a meat lovers, and a veggie pizza. We wanted to get a whole pizza, just by getting each individual slice to form a whole pizza for the same price. But they ring it up as 2x more. So we just decided to walk out, as angry as a bull. Don’t go here. We had just gotten into town, and our whole family are going bed hungry. Nothing within walking distance, plus everything is closed at 10:00 at night. We just wanted food, but we have to save our money, and not waste it on some pizza place that costs a fortune. Well, I’m going to bed. Hopefully I don’t die of starvation in the night.

Pizza is one of those things that are a hard thing to decide on. That’s why I can appricate places that give you the option of smaller pies so that you don’t have to have the dredded topping fight. I ordered delivery to my hotel, and the pizzas arrived pretty quickly and hot. One of the other things that I love about pizza places is when they have the courage to go for bold ingredients and have a lot of speciality pizzas that sound good. The other great thing is that they hae a bunch of vegetrain options to keep herbivores satisified. I ended up trying the Aviero and enjoyed it a lot. The crust was nice and crisp and the sausage played well with the pepporoncini to give you the perfect slightly salty bite of pizza. I didn’t care for the boneless hot thai wings that much. They didn’t really deliver much on the flavor perspective and kind of tasted just like plain old chicken nuggets.

We really enjoyed our veggie pizza. It was tasty, filling and well done on the bottom the way we like it. Yum a new find for date night or lazy night for take out.

Good pizza but their delivery service is very confusing/bad. I ordered a pizza online a couple of weeks ago and it was delivered fine, but today when I placed an order I received a call 40 minutes later informing me that they don’t deliver to my city. I asked if it was a new policy as I just received a delivery a few weeks ago and the guy said no.…he offered to take 15% off my order if I could pick it up, but I don’t currently have a car so I can’t. I was curious and went back to their website and it says that part of my city and my specific address is in fact in their delivery area. Pretty annoying, also hey why did it take 40 minutes to call me?

Pizza is really good. I’ve been here a number of times when I travel to DC for business. Food is quick and consistently good.

I’ve eaten their pizza twice — first in the the pizzeria itself and second time ordered it via grubhub. Extremely happy both times. Great selection, amazing design of the place, quick delivery — it was still from the oven. Will be back and will recommend to friends.

I was visiting Arlington for a business conference. I was walking around and a local recommended this place. I was fortunate to find this place. Great pizza at an affordable price. I had the aviero pizza. Fast service only took about 10 minutes. Like their logo says extreme pizza not main street pizza, the quality is better than their pizza rivals.

This is not a fancy place at all, but the pizza is extremely delish! We got pepperoni, yard sale and the Ragin’ rooster. We couldn’t stop eating. Great crust and fabulous flavor. If you like BBQ chicken pizza, the Ragin’ Rooster is phenomenal, best I have ever had!

I love the pizza screamin tomato. Best vegetarian pizza. Everything tastes fresh. Let me just say on my third visit I feel like a regular. The staff remembers your name and it seems everyone there is friendly. I also order food to go and have even had it delivered. Everything is great.

I was really in the mood for pizza but a it needed to be a really good pizza. I can be a bit judgmental on pizzas being a NYer. :-). I read reviews on Unilocal and opted for Extreme Pizza — plus it was on my way home. I ordered the Wham, Bam, Thank You Mammoth and was told it would be 15 minutes. While I waited, I stepped outside to take a phone call. 15 minutes later, one of the staff brought the pizza out to me. How awesome was that?! On time and they went the extra step to bring my pizza to me — and I didn’t even ask; I didn’t even let them know I was stepping outside. So kudos to the young lady who took my order and noticed I went outside then informed her coworker where to bring the pizza instead of letting it sit on a shelf waiting for me to return inside. Thumbs up! As for the pizza… I took the first bite and, oh my gosh, it was delicious! Totally worth the price(a bit pricier than other places). I’ll be back to Extreme Pizza… I would even look into having them replace our current pizza vendor at work! That is how much this native NYer enjoyed the pizza. :-)

Ordered a pizza through the Unilocal app feature. I received the email confirmation pretty quickly that the ordered was received. I wasn’t able to get updates on progress, so I called to confirm when the initially hour delivery time passed. They confirmed that the driver had left and was on his way. When the pizza arrives it was great! Everyone enjoyed it and it seemed like a great quality product. I’d definitely order from here again, but I’d hope to get the pizza in less than a hour on a weekday.

Hey guys. I write because I have seen a lot of negative review of this joint and I want to follow up. I frequently hang out at EP. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pizza is good. And the beer selections are a lot of fun — — - particularly the South Street Soft Serve and the English Brown that they have on tap. Last night I attended a «Tap Takeover.» The folks from Flying Dog Brewery came in and took over five(5) of the joint’s taps. The event was a lot of fun as I had the opportunity to try out beer that I never had. The pizza(as always) was good, the folks that attended the event were interesting to talk with and the beer was an adventure. For all of those that follow this restaurant on Unilocal,I highly recommend attending the next Tap Takeover. I know I will.

I’m an asshole. I’m very picky about things — mainly because I hold myself to high standards. That means I’m disappointed a lot of the time. Not today though. I’m in DC on business and when I went out foraging for lunch I stumbled across this gem of a pizza place. Ordered a small Drag It Through the Garden. I sat admiring the clean surfaces and enjoying the wonderful smells until my pizza came out. It was so wonderful! The crust was medium in thickness and wonderfully crispy. The toppings were mostly or entirely raw and fresh. Tomato sauce is optional but I forgot to ask them to add it. If I have it again I will do that because I imagine the sauce would further enhance the flavor of the vegetables. If I can get away later this weekend I will try another pizza — maybe one of those meaty ones. Other points — service was very quick, staff was friendly, smiling, helpful. The tables, floor, bathroom were all clean. The kitchen is mostly visible and it looked clean too. These things don’t happen by accident — attentive employees and competent & motivated management. Such simple things but they make all the difference.

Horrendous, you call this pizza? This is like low quality, dog crap mixed with ketchup. Sorta like dominos but more like cardboard.

After reading all the great reviews, I was eager to try this place out. Not really sure why I’ve never been and it’s so close to me? We ordered buffalo wings and the screamin tomato pizza to go. Walking in, there was a locally owned/family operated vibe and that was nice. Staff was helpful and pleasant. The place is kinda small, just to note but there is room to stay and eat. We ordered and hung out at the bar area and it didn’t seem to take too long even though they were busy. Pizza was really fresh, dough was awesome. I love that they included a mini cup of chili pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese to go. Now that’s smart. Wings were baked the same way the pizza was. I thought they were great, though I had extra sauce because I prefer saucy wings. To note, they weren’t dry by any means, I just prefer them to be dripping in sauce. I will have this as my go to spot for pizza and wings now! Wish I had learned about them sooner.

Does not get better than this. We were in town for a my daughters volleyball tournament and found Extreme Pizza via Unilocal. The pizza was amazing. Fresh ingredients, perfect crust and many types to choose from. Nice beer and wine selection as well. The staff were great. Very polite and patient as I asked many questions regarding their pizza. I will go out of my way to return here again.

Went in on my Monday off. Very laid back casual space. Ordered the Pandora box pizza, added Salami to it, made it a wheat crust. Everything about it was delicious.

I have found my new favorite pizza shop, and thank goodness for that! After driving past too many times, placed my first order last night. So glad I did. For starters, the guy behind the counter was very nice.(+++) Got me in and out, long line and all. We ordered the Wham, Bam, Thank You Mammoth… and it was perfect. Perfect! For once, a pizza cooked right that wasn’t DMV-style(as in dry). Great sauce and toppings, perfectly textured crust. Can’t wait to try more of the signature pies. Thank you Extreme Pizza!

Came here twice and tried the Peace in the Middle East and the Pandora’s Box. Both featured fresh tasting ingredients although the resulting taste of the combination of ingredients in both pizzas was not exceptional. The hummus base of the Peace in the Middle East dominated the flavour, killing the taste of the tomatoes and even deadening the pickled pepperoncini With the Pandora’s Box, go with the regular recipe and forgo the tomato sauce because it becomes overtart with the sundried tomatoes and artichokes. Despite the website saying Extreme had vegan offerings with daiya cheese, I did not see this location offer this.
