I’ve had Dr. Desimone as my primary care physician for probably 15 years, the whole time I’ve lived in Arlington. He’s a fine doctor and cardiologist, and one of the few that still maintains a private practice with comfortable offices. I hope everyone understands from the hyperbole and misspellings in Whisperer’s review that it should probably be discounted entirely. Stephanie has a valid point that phone communications can be a difficult at time.

He has been by doctor since Late 2006 when I was living Arlington. He always honest, friendly, and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and always gave me the healthcare I needed. Only thing I didn’t like is there are something I cant do in his office. Like having blood drawn, but not really his fault, as this is a private office. If I had picked a doctor in a hospital then I wouldn’t have that inconvenience. Otherwise, I can’t understand why the other users gave this fine doctor such awful reviews.

This so called doctor is the most evil, vile, man on the planet. I pity any poor soul who has to go to him. He is a witch doctor, a charlatan. I know this from personal experience. He refuses to look you in the eye. He’s much too cowardly for that. He’d rather look over your head or off to the side when«attempting» to answer your questions. He reviews each question as an imposition, a complete waist of his precious time. God forbid you should have a serious issue, he pretty much dismisses you without a thorough examination. I urge people to please, Please, PLEASE go somewhere else. He may be conveniently located, but there are so many other, competant doctors out there and they are worth looking in to. Avoid this FRAUD at all costs. I gave him one star only because I couldn’t move forward with this post. He doesn’t deserve any stars. I hate this man with every fiber of my being! I want to ruin him; destroy him!

I chose this Dr. because he was right down the street from my house and I have BCBSPOS service that I pay extra for. Basically its not as flexible as a POP, but it allows me to choose to be seen out of network, which was really important to me. This meant that when I chose to have surgery at NEMC I had to call and get referrals for every 4 visits. This should not have been so difficult, but they are only open Mon, Tue, Thur and Fri and seem to always be on a 2 hour lunch break. It’s near impossible to get them on the phone. Half the time I’d have to send out multiple points of contact for the referrals(phone, fax, etc). After having a serious issue w/my contacts one day I ended up getting a last minute appointment at NEMC — which is close to my work, I had tried to phone them first, but I didn’t get anyone but the answering service. A few weeks later they sent me a letter basically saying that they were tired of doing referrals even though my insurance allowed it and that I either had to use Mount Auborn affiliates or change my PCP. Great, dumped by my doctor. So I get a new PCP, back off my plan to HMO for 2008 and call to get my records. They tell me they’ll call me back in a week. Apparently it takes a week to walk up to a Xerox machine and hit copy. When I finnally got the call I faxed over a letter asking them to release my file to my SOand he went down, they told him they didn’t have the letter. He calls me, I tell him I faxed it about 2 hours previous, he went back and was finnally able to obtain it. They have lost both my SO and I as customers. Who were never that impressed to begin with.
