Very elegant and classy. This place has great classy people, no fights breaking out, great scenery, and great people! I loved this place. They have great hookah and music. I did not get the chance to purchase and try the food by that is the plan for the next time I go. I really enjoyed this place and during closing instead of the bouncers kicking you out they offer peanuts and pumpkin seeds. It is better than any DC spot I have been to. It is a 40 minute drive with difficulty parking but it is so worth it! I will be coming back to this place!

Went into the lounge side last night, great spot. Good atmosphere, music, drink variety. Jenny took care of the groups drinks, treated us like old friends! The shisha(red spice?) was great, and so were the hookah. If I could have heard over the music I’m pretty sure everybody was good at their job. Bouncers were professional and funny. DJ had a good variety, plenty of pretty women dancing all night. Hookah brought out immediately with some smooth mix inside, charcoal changed regularly. Valet parking on weekends. I’ll visit again.

The hookah is terrible and staff are not very welcoming, and the orders take forever.

The hookah wasn’t as smooth as other places but the nice ambience and bumpin music really made up for it! I love the décor and the fact they have a little dj booth.

I wish I could have given 0 star. Server was horrible, besides completely ignoring us and never asking how everything was, she would only go to the group next to us. I gave my credit card to open the tap and once we were done I got the bill with another credit card, when I addressed the issue it turned out that she gave my credit card to someone else. Had to go thru the hassle of cancelling my card and having to wait for a new one now. Another server also gave another client two credit cards and ask him which one was his. Be very careful once if you go to this play as it will increase the risk of identity theft. Never going again

Lamb and falafel over cooked, all menu items not available the waitress was apathetic at best. 45 minutes after we ordered, she told us the kibbi was not available she asked if we wanted to speak to the chef or the manager, I said either was fine, a line cook came out, he was very patient. He said the chef had quit yesterday and there was no manager. He was going to make the kibbi with a different recipe, we were very happy. Three customers, the only other people in the place at 6:30 on on a Sunday, left because they had been there over an hour and they had not received all of their food or any drink refills either. Then the«manager» showed up, he had been in the hookah bar upstairs. He told us there would be no kibbi regardless of the smooth way the over worked line cook had handled it, he simply would not allow the alteration of the recipe from a meat blend to all lamb,(which is the traditional method.) He indicated it was not a problem that menu items were not available. And we could come another time when it was available. Overall a very disappointing experience, especially as we drove 30 minutes to go there and have the kibbi.

We wanted a few more drinks after dinner so we came upstairs to the lounge to have them over some hookah. great idea. The lounge area is set up real nice. Around 10 pm the place was PACKED. This was my first time smoking hookah out of a pineapple. SMOOTH! The staff was very attentive, drinks were never low and coals were always fresh and piping hot. I will definitely return.

Been several times. Find the doormen and service to be a little rude and unhelpful. Hookah is ok though if that’s what you need. I found Guarapo down the street a little. Much better experience there.

Darna Lounge is interesting. This review is for the lounge portion of the business. There’s a restaurant on the ground level. I had an opportunity to stop by for some food last week and stayed back a little later to enjoy the music. The food was decent, slightly on the pricier side however the meals are worth the price. Keep in mind that the Kebabs served on the menu comes by itself. There’s no side to it. Maybe I’m used to a different kind of kebabs where you always get some sort of rice/bread/salad with it. In Darna you get the kebab and some sort of sauce on it. I tried the Darna burger which was a mixture of beef and lamb patty. It was cook perfectly(medium rare) and it was delicious. It came with an order of fries. Come early if you want to seat outside on the deck, it gets packed really fast and you will have to wait a long time to be seated. The inside of the lounge has seating but it’s reserved for table services. It gets a little pricier for those table. We were told there’s a minimum of $ 300 for one of the table area. It was nice to seat on the patio and smoke some hookah while eating some food. There sofa are harder to sit and eat because the tables are on knee level. On my visit, there was a nice fun crowd of people listening to middle eastern music and dancing. However towards the end of the night someone decided that they were going to throw a bottle at another person’s head. No idea what happened but the bouncers were quick to remove them but anyone standing close to the bouncer ended up getting pushed and hit as a result of them removing the customer. Our waitress was horrible. We kept asking for things from her and she keeps forgetting to bring them. Instead of apologizing she keeps asking us to refresh her memory of what we ordered so she can check the status. Of course, the order always shows up after we remind her because that’s when she enters the order. It was more acceptable if she forget our order towards the end of the night because it was busy but we were there early when there was only a handful of table on the deck and no one on the patio. Overall I’ll give this place another chance next time as the music was fun and the environment was nice. Hopefully the next time we get a better wait staff and don’t have to deal with drunks starting a fight. I’ll update my review if it is a more positive experience.

Had a good time here with my buddy and his wife. Hookah tastes great! Delicious kabobs and drinks. If you wanna go inside you gotta dress up a bit otherwise you’ll have to sit on the balcony.

MOLDINMYHOOKAH!!! Yesterday, I took my wife out for drinks on her birthday. Darna Lounge was recommended to me. We arrive and the place was empty, only one patron was there. I assumed it was empty because it was so early, 5:30 pm. The server was not knowledgeable about the menu, even though she was nice. We ordered drinks, hookah, and food. The drinks came out along with the hookah as it was placed on the floor. Shortly afterwards the food came out. One of the best flatbreads I have ever had. We relocated the hookah to the table, and my wife noticed that the hookah had dried up food on the out side of the glass and mold growing on the inside of the glass!!! Enough said!!! We brought it to their attention. All they did was replace it with another one. We are never going here again!!!

Pretty sweet spot. I’ve been here on a Friday and a Saturday which is their busiest time but the waitress were very sweet and carrying. The upstairs lounge area that’s on the rooftop is the best part of this place. The chairs are super comfy for A relaxed time with hookah. They have great selection of Hookah options and the food was amazing! Good wine selection also and cocktails. The inside lounge is also very pretty and well kept their DJ is awesome and plays music from rap, r&p, pop, to Arabic music all mixed together. All in all it was an awesome experience.

2.75 Stars Uhhhh…NO Luckily I was here with a big group of family for a Ramadan breaking of the Fast. Otherwise, if I came here for late night lounging with Hookah and shit music blaring in my ears for hours, I’d want to bring the entire world to a war crimes tribunal. As expected, the interiors are just shy of ghastly — time and again delusional people who open Middle East themed restaurant believe that they are not only world-class restaurateurs but also«talented» interior designers. We came in for the buffet, the food was pretty good — they had the entire lamb Qoozi dish which was pretty excellent and the only other memorable dish was the knafa for desert which were made in house and was absolutely delicious and spot on. If you’ve never had knafa, you really need to — it is one of my favorite foods. However, it was not even close to be worth the $ 120 bill for three of us. Out-fucking-rageous. You could easily spend that on a far better meal at Zaytinya, the new Fig and Olive, or even(need I say) Me Jana.

Food was really expensive and way too salty, the beer selection is way too small. There is also a dress code, which is annoying. The music is really good(lots of hiphop) and the middle eastern vibe is very cool. Also my waitress Svetlana was very pretty, funny and helpful

Getting my check… stupidly pricey, young staff, so a lot of stuff was off. 25% automatic gratuity added so BEWARE!!! Food was not so great. Ordered the lamb shawarma and it was dry and salty. Hope this helps. Swank!

If dancing isn’t your thing and you actually want to have a conversation with someone without yelling, his probably isn’t the place to go. I went here on a Saturday night with some coworkers and friends. It was dark, and the music was very ethnic but lively. Everyone was either around a hookah at a table or dancing. The area was clean and the drinks were decent. Expect to have pictures taken of you while you’re there. I wouldn’t seek this place out, but for what it is, it certainly shapes up to be a good time.

What happens at Darna doesn’t necessarily always stay at Darna I love this lounge, it’s filled with so much excitement, great music and friendly staff. I’ve been a fan of Darna for months now and can confidently say that their customer service surpasses any other Hookah lounge in the a Northern Virginia area. The only downside to Darna is their limited seating inside. This isn’t necessarily their fault because it’s so popular people make reservations days before. However, every time I’ve visited this place, they’ve managed to accomodate and sit us inside. I also have to admit that unfortunately their drinks are very weak. Thursday’s nights is geared towards the Arab/Middle Eastern crowd with a live band. Fun night if you’re into the music and crowd. Friday night and Saturday nights have been my favorite because they’re geared more towards and international crowd. The DJs they bring in are pretty awesome but DJ Heat is my FAVORITE! The dance floor never clears when he’s on stage. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend this lounge to anyone and have introduced many of my friends to this place One last thing, I say«what happens at Darna doesn’t stay at Darna» because they do take photos and post them on their website and roll a slide show of their photos on their TVs at night. Don’t do something you wouldn’t want your girl or guy to find out about

I have only visited Darna late at nights with groups of friends for drinks and smoking hookah and possibly some dancing, their late Wednesday and Friday night parties are usually on point and pretty fun IF you are into smoking hookah, experiencing loud music, and are Ok with a cloudy smoky environment. However, last night was the first time I experienced Darna’s food and I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was, granted I did not experience any of their main dishes but still I wasn’t expecting the quality of the meal I received from a place I only considered being a smoke lounge/night club. The pita bread was fresh off the oven and very good, their Hummus and Baba Ghanoush was great however their Labneh(yogurt) was excellent. We also tried 2 of their flat breads and they both were very good as well. Good job Darna, you are more than a smoke lounge for sure!

This place is decent, good music and good vibe. There is usually pretty good crowd here and it gets pretty crowded on the weekends. Been here a couple of times over the summer. Usually get some food, hookah, alcohol and some dancing, over all a good night. Mainly it’s all about the company you there with. There is no cover charge to come in but the drinks/food/hookah is a bit on the pricey side but reasonable. Came here for Halloween this year and it turned out to be a great night but the bartenders overcharged us for drinks, we had a hookah, some food and a few drinks and the bill was $ 120.00. Overall, it’s a good hangout spot and i will be back.
