A great and free way to spend Monday nights. I’ve been to all but two of the screenings so far(look, I love Star Trek but I don’t love it enough to get rained on for two hours) and it’s an excellent venue for a picnic. I always make some light salads to share with friends(and a bottle of grape juice on the down low never goes amiss) but I see plenty of people bringing pizza, fast food, or carryout with them. Bring a blanket/tarp or towel. I bring a chair but be courteous and sit with your chairs toward the outer edges so you don’t block the groundlings! The Sweetflow truck makes a regular appearance, by the way, so test your willpower or just give in and have some froyo.
