Really is terrible. 1) extremely expensive 2) guy is hard to communicate with, pushy, and basically odd 3) and this is the kicker, both items i had framed there are buckling in the frame less than 1 year later! and they were in absolutely perfect condition when i dropped them off. one is a photo that has bubbles in it where he bonded it to the backing. i am so ultra dissatisfied. i would never return to this place. UPDATE: This place is now, unsurprisingly, closed.

Horrible. Had a deal, the frame on the wall was listed at $ 150. I had a living social deal for $ 150. He said no, that one wont work with the deal. Ok thats fine. What was the cheapest frame he could do? $ 260… He literally brought the price up $ 100 to make extra profit. It was therefore to just buy the item without the deal. But thats kind of typical of living social deals. The reason for the 1 star was how happy he was to be screwing over people. He did not want me in the store and was glad I didn’t buy from him. I felt belittled and was obviously not happy. He was the happiest man in the world. Im sure his prices and work is fine. But his attitude was not fine.

I am so happy with Crystal Framing. I brought a canvas there to be framed and I was a bit nervous about taking it somewhere I wasn’t familiar with, as it was purchased in Cuba and so pretty much irreplaceable. I just moved to VA a few months ago, so I appreciate the good reviews by my fellow Unilocalers, who didn’t steer me wrong. Mike was so courteous and a pleasure to work with. The price was reasonable, the work was great, and it was ready on time as promised. Will use them again and highly recommend. Thank you!

It was my first time visiting this location but I will definitely be back. They had varieties of frames to choose from at a great price. I had chance to meet the owner, he was very helpful and was able to show me around the store.

Dropped by to get a frame and a pair of precious antlers that were damaged during shipping repaired and was not disappointed. The folks there are professional, know their stuff and did a great job on both items.

Courteous, efficient, and reasonably priced. They did a great job framing a couple prints for me. The work was completed on time. They also sent a person to my apartment to professionally hang several pieces of art for me. It was a bargain rate, much less expensive than it cost me when I had similar work done in other places I have lived. I highly recommend them.

I purchased a Livingsocial deal for $ 150 worth of custom framing. When redeeming my deal, instead of charging me their normal discount price of $ 99, they charged me more than $ 175 to frame one photograph. The photograph is about 20″ x 30″, so I would call it medium sized. Definitely not something that I would ever pay $ 175 to frame. I did not expect to pay an additional $ 25 for just one photograph. In addition to driving up the price simply because I had a Livingsocial deal, the employee provided little guidance to me when looking for the right frame. He just showed me a few frames and said it’s up to me, whatever looked nice. This was not helpful at all. I felt like I was shopping at a Wal-mart. I hope their service improves at some point.

Like most framers I have been to with a groupon-like deal in hand, I can never tell if my groupon is a true deal or not, or if the place is beefing up the cost of items knowing I have $x to spend there. I’ve been to a few framers with deals and it would be helpful in the future to price something out before revealing that you have a deal, just to be sure you’re not being taken for a ride. What I liked about them was that they were prompt, did the job in the time the promised and called me to let me know it was ready, and didn’t lose my things. What could have been better was that service was just lackluster. Do not expect the guy there to use an artistic eye to help you out, especially if you’re doing anything even slightly unique. I was flying completely on my own, despite asking many questions and looking for guidance.

I would not recommend using them, especially, if you purchase a GroupOn or Living Social deal. My artwork was not ready on the date printed on my invoice and I did not receive a call stating it would take longer than expected. I went to the shop to find out what was going on and it took them 15 minutes to even find my painting. Once they found it, they told me my frame had to be specially ordered and they would not have the frame until the following Tuesday. Keep in mind; they had the piece for 4 weeks already. The owner was nice and offered to deliver it for free and said it would be ready on the following Wednesday. Wednesday passed, no call. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday passed, no call. Finally, I received a call the next Monday morning from a delivery guy saying he was on his way to drop off my painting. Luckily, I have a concierge service in my building so someone was there to receive it. After almost six weeks of waiting, I’m so excited to hang my piece on the wall, but there is no wire on the back of the hooks to actually hang it. I didn’t even bother to call back and complain. I purchased 3 GroupOn deals from 3 different framers and this by far was the worst. Everyone else delivered on time and included a wire to actually hang my piece. I gave them two stars because the work was done well(besides not having a wire), but the service was horrible.
