Extremely RUDE to customers for no apparent reason. This place is ran by Asians, perhaps is cultural but no excuse. They are passing off some other species as catfish — ITISNOTREALCATFISH they are serving! Overpriced and under-flavored. I was so pissed I didn’t even eat my food after waiting 20 min in a fast food line because I don’t know what the hek it is.

Best place in Arlington for Huge, Tasty Chicken Tenders & Gizzards!!! You will not be disappointed. Unfortunately, the Seafood(Catfish) is NOTGOOD! Maybe they should just change the name to Crispy Great Chicken & leave the Seafood to someone else. May I also suggest that they supply Ranch dressing as an alternative to the gravy that comes w/the delicious Chicken Tenders.

My has this place gone downhill i will never be back again. My last two visits here were very disappointing and i will no longer continue to give them any more of my money I’m done. The fish taste awful its hard and flavorless and really greasy just disgusting. This place used to have really good catfish and i feel bad for sending ppl here now cause they gonna think I’m full of crap for sending them to such a terrible place. Im done with crispys I’m going to have to find another fish joint.

The chicken deserves a five star rating, but more than 50% of the time when I stop, they are OUTOFCHICKEN! The service is lacking and there is always a line. It really sucks to wait over 30 minutes in line just to find out they are out of chicken.

Their fried catfish and shrimp is decent. I’ve been scared to try this place and randomly went out on a limb and tried it. I think its a good fried food fix. I got the catfish fillet and 6 piece shrimp combo. I didn’t want the drink so they gave me huspuppies instead. Fry’s were ok. I’m the hot sauce queen and their home made hot sauce for 25¢ was good. I probably wouldn’t get their food without three hot sauce. But that’s just me.

This review is for the Catfish only. If you’ve read any of my reviews you know I love CATFISH! Arlington has been lagging behind when it comes to catfish offerings compared to Dallas and Fort Worth and after reading reviews for Crispy’s I thought maybe they were making some progress. Well when it comes to Crispy’s they are not. I’ve passed this place many times and wondered and curiosity finally got me. I wish I would have just kept driving. I suppose the name Crispy refers to the chicken. The fish was way below my standards it was not raw but not fried enough, there was no flavor whatsoever. No fish flavor, no saltiness, just bland. I ate some of the fish and some of the overly greasy fries it also came with 3 under-cooked hushpuppies and tossed most of it. I would never recommend this place to any of my fellow catfish loving friends. I was very disappointed and I won’t be back to even try the chicken.

BESTFRIEDGIZZARDEVER! I am so in love with it. It’s always prepared hot & they give you plenty for a reasonably price. I’ve been going here for 5 – 6 years just for their gizzard! A must try! Yummmmmm :)

They have the best big juicy chicken tenders ever! Their gravy is perfect not thick or lumpy and it has flavor, and their fries are also good. And best of all its really cheap. For $ 5 I got 4 chicken tenders, fries, a roll and soda and we shared between two people.

Order the fried gizzards. You can thank me later. This review is only for the fried gizzards. The batter was crispy deliciousness and had the right crunch and right spices. I had one bite and was hooked. It’s all I can think about now! I will be definitely coming back when I’m in town!

Fries were flavorless, breast was dry and hard, the mashed potatoes were also bland. The best part of my high meal was the wing and the pepper. I chose this place based on reviews and my motto has always been«you can’t knock something until you try it.» I was less than impressed. I will just wait til I got back to «tha boot» for some real chicken.

Finally gave this place a chance I’ve been told for over a year how good their chicken is and I was too afraid to try because you don’t know what to expect from a small stand off the road. Well I was more than surprised, it was great! They fry the chicken right after you order it so its very fresh no heat lamp chicken here. And those strips are humongous, I’m adding a photo so more Unilocalers know what they’re missing because I almost didn’t try this place again since there wasn’t a photo on their Unilocal page.

We only get the gizzards… They are seasoned and fried to perfection. Get them to fry them a little harder and they are so tender! My husband and I get great service but we figure its because we go so often.

I don’t know what kind of customer service you’re expecting from a little stand off the road. There’s no where to eat, so it’s all to go. They’re friendly enough for being run by little Asian people. They do take long. There’s not usually more than 2 people in that tiny place. I’m not even sure if you can fit more than two people in there. But it works for what it is, and the fact that most people are willing to wait 10 – 20 min for«fast food» says something about this finger lickin’ chicken. I’ll say this now, I’ve only ever ordered the chicken strips.(Though the security guard at my bank used to order the catfish and shrimp and loved it.) I order them spicy.(And there’s a decent hint of spice, though I still call it a hint.) I’m almost sure they don’t cook it up until you order, but they are the most delicious, moist and crispy chicken tenders in the history of the world. OFTHEWORLD. Their sides are okay, but who really gets fast food fried chicken for the sides? I want the heart cloggin’ chicken, thanks. Always ask for their homemade hot sauce because it is out of this world! I don’t know what makes it so good. I can dip my chicken in it and it’s perfect. I can also eat my chicken with sticky rice and use the hot sauce and mix it with some soy sauce and I have a happy tummy. Careful on asking for extras, though, they’re pretty stingy with the sauce. Again, slow service, long wait, DAMNGOODFOOD. Would I come back? GIRRRLLL, I was here two days ago, and I’m still lickin’ my lips.

I have been a little late to work before waiting on this place to finish my order, but hey its a small drive-thru/walk-up business with just a few people in the kitchen, and they fry your catfish to order, so I digress. The fried catfish here is amazing! You can get it regular or spicy and both ways are delicious! I’m still trying to figure out what they feed those catfish to be that big every time I order(which is pretty often). The things are gigantic! I have not tried much else on the menu besides the lemon pepper wings, and they were ok. That catfish though, keeps a brother coming back!

Best gizzards ever! And their special spicy sauce just makes it more amazing! Customer service isn’t close to the best but then again it IS a drive-thru so there’s not much I can say about that.

This place has good food and fair price but the customer service is horrible and there is always a wait. I called an order in and they said 15 minute wait and when I got there after 16 minutes they told me it was gonna be a 15 minute wait. No courtesy drink. No apology no nothing!!!

What a hugely pleasant surprise. Went there once when down in Arlington for the day and now I wish it were in McKinney. Fried fish made to order. I thing I paid $ 4 and change for catfish, fries and a drink. They could’ve charged me twice that amount and it would have been a fair deal. Here’s why: it was made to order so i got to choose what kind of breading on the fish. It was so hot I nearly burned my mouth on the fish. Not a fancy place and it looks really hokey but if Unilocal allowed me to give it a 6 on overall value — I would

This tiny restaurant located in front of a strip mall on a very busy and bumpy street catches my eye each time I drive to my friends house. It’s drive through only and all I gotta say is. Spicy Gizzards!!! To be honest, I had no idea what gizzards were until I looked it up. At first I was shocked and a little weirded out but these things are way too good to pass up. I wish I had more to say about this place but it’s pretty basic and they concentrate on what they know. Since it’s drive through, I can’t get any feel for the atmosphere or customer service but it’s definitely a place that’s interesting to try.
