My husband and I come here a few times a year. The wings & service are usually good. Our last visit on 5⁄31 did not go so well. We were greeted when we walked in the door. We found a table. The waitress immediately brought over menus and took our drink order. It seemed like she was the only waitress in the place. She brought our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered a large french fry and 25 boneless wings… original, bbq & teriyaki. We waited for about 35 minutes our food. Not to bad since there were a few other people ahead of us. The waitress would ask if we were ok as she walked by. When our food arrived it was bone in wings instead. My husband and I were like«ok lets just eat.» The bone in wings were horrible. They were not crispy. They were slimy and barely warm. I couldn’t eat them. I asked my husband to see how long it would take for an order of 6 boneless wings. He had to go to the cash register to ask because after we got the food the waitress didn’t check on us. She told him 20 minutes. I told him to forget it. The waitress finally came to check on us after that and asked if I wanted a take home container. I told her no and we thought we ordered boneless wings. She asked us «did I write the order down?» She didn’t of course. She came back about 10 minutes later with the check and asked again if I wanted a take home container. I again told her no and we thought we ordered boneless. I also told her I couldn’t eat them because they were slimy and not good. She didn’t apologize or anything. I’ve had better food at Six Flags. I paid my $ 33.12 bill and left. It will be awhile before we go back to Atomic.

I want to like this place because it’s local and near our house. It has potential with live music and a ok beer selection. The issue always seems to be the service. Every other visit you are almost guaranteed to get terrible service. I have actually walked out before after waiting for service and not getting waited on. With better service this could be a much improved place.

Had a salad. It was good. Place pretty empty today. Ordered sweet potato fries, charged $ 3.00 for about 15 fries that were very done. Disappointing. Just don’t order the Sweet pot fries. Went back ordered chicken wings, all batter and terribly overdone. Will not return.

Good was ok. Service was terrible. Restaurant was in need of some cleaning. Tables were sticky and trash was all over the floor. Our 2 sandwiches took over 45 minutes to get.

We have eaten here maybe three times. It reminds me of a basement bar in the Midwest. I cant say that I really love anything on the menu, I have tried. It’s in my opinion, just OK food.

Love this little place! Great service, live music, good food!!! My boyfriend and I feel like we’ve worn out every bar in Arlington until… We found atomic sports bar and grill! We were so over the highlands and needed a change. This place is our new fav. People are great and food is good(especially the bite me basket!). Must try!

I ate here on a Wednesday night based on a friend’s recommendation. For me this is a local place near UT Arlington, so I was excited hoping my experience would be memorable. On arrival I wasn’t greeted, so I sat myself at a table. While waiting on the waitress, I noticed my table was sticky were it hadn’t been cleaned very well; yuck! This place has a sports bar theme and serves bar food so my expectations weren’t super high, but every restaurant should at the very least have a clean table after it’s been wiped down. None the less I didn’t complain but remained hopeful. My waitress was quite slow, no sense of urgency if you will! Fortunately, I’m a patient person! Again, I remained hopeful, convincing myself that maybe I arrived on one of their«Bad Days» but not likely. So after what seemed like more than 10 – 15 minutes of waiting, my food arrived. Perception means everything. I ordered a sandwich called the«Maverick», hence UT Arlington Mavericks. So now the tables began to turn. This sandwich tasted wonderful, hot, juicy and full of flavor; see my photo! The cheese fries were pretty good too. This is what I had come for, good food. Prices were fair. The atmosphere was pleasant. The size is small yet cozy; however you might bump elbows on a game night. Overall, my first ever experience here was just okay. A cleaner table and prompt service would have made a world of difference. These are easy issues to fix. I may return at a later date and give them another try.

We love to support local business and have been here several times; however, on this last experience, it was disgusting to say the least. We ordered chips and queso – the queso was cold and difficult to even put a chip in. We asked that it be heated… we received a freshly microwaved bowl… the same exact bowl we sent back. The bowl was hot the queso was not. The waitress did not even apologize for the mishap. When asking that it be heated, we noticed the pile of trash near the kitchen and band-aid wrapper… yep, a band-aid wrapper. Gross! The bathroom was gross… trash overflowing and so was the trashcan by the kitchen. Will not be back. So unfortunate as we try very hard to support local, small businesses.

We’ve had fairly consistent experiences with this wing place. It’s usually got several tables full, games on the TVs, plenty of beer and decent specials. Service is ok(most servers are young girls and the last time I went, our server didn’t know the difference between a lemon and a lime — yikes!). The food is really good. Tasty wings, and any chicken dish you can usually get your meat tossed in your favorite sauce or dry rub. No real complaints — they could beef up their bartenders’ skills but when most people order pitchers of beer, it’s probably not a big priority. I definitely recommend it, especially for game days with a group of friends.

Delicious food, courteous staff, and friendly atmosphere. This is where people should go instead of wing stop. Got the sandwich/wing combo, highly recommend the atomic bbq flavor. Also, the funnel cake fries? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

My family and I were looking for something a little different. We’ve seen this place multiple times and last night stopped in. When we entered no one greeted us. We stood next to the unmanned hostess station for a few minutes before my husband went to the register and asked if we could find our own seat. The waitress said yes and we took the only open table. After setting there for 15 to 20 minutes we felt our business was unwanted. From what I can see the front of the house lacks proper training. The same waitress my husband spoke with was seen rubbing her nose and then taking a pitcher of beer to a table. We decided our night would be better at a different resturant. I hope the owners find out and fix the problems. The resturant has potential, but I wish I had read the other reviews I have seen here before going. I think it would be better as just a bar with the service I saw last night.

Been lots of times, staff is either great or so-so. Wings rock, drings are strong, and the prices are awesome. My boyfriend did the ghost pepper wing challenge & finished it! We had so much fun with the kitchen guys & servers that day, but his picture didn’t make it on the wall :(I guess the person who worked that day doesn’t work there anymore & his picture was on her phone. Not a big deal, they offered to take his photo again when we pointed it out months later. This spot doesn’t get packed or annoying, which we love. I definately recommend it! Don’t bother. Waited at table for 10 minutes with no service. They weren’t even busy. I left without ordering and went someplace where they actually wanted my business.

Heck no. I ordered chips and salsa waiting for the rest of our group to arrive. After about 15 minutes our table was complete and everyone placed their order –at which point I found it odd that my chips and salsa hadn’t came out yet. Almost 40 minutes later everyone’s plates were served and the waitress tells me they’re out of chips, asking if I wanted something else instead. I ordered a quesadilla(that came out after everyone else’s meal) while another guy gets handed a tray of potato chips and salsa, saying they swapped out potato for tortilla chips on his order. What? Another friend ordered the brownie sundae(out of ice cream) and it was insanely reheated, being molten lava one minute and quickly turning into a brick as it cooled. Fried pickles were shelled in salt with not enough water coming around to enjoy them, and the Hellfire wings(intended to ‘melt your face off’) would rank under sriracha. I dipped my quesadillas and fries in it. The beers were a-flowing but the service was otherwise extremely slow, though that’s evident from other reviews. The group I was with were college guys which really suited the scenario: huge subs, cheap beer, loud country music, and food that’s mostly fried and salty. They might not care whether they’re eating what they ordered or a mash-up of substitutes, but I’ve simply outgrown low expectations.

Subs are to die for! This place has really great food. I prefer getting a carry out opposed to dining in. Every Time I’ve dined in service has been crummy and it’s not very clean. For some reason everytime I’ve dined in food has come out sloppy and not as well prepared. Carry outs are the way to go. No denying the foods great!

I finally got around to trying Atomic Subs and Wings for the first time and I must say, there are some things to write home about… but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are all good. The atmosphere, what is there to say about the atmosphere? It is hard to really get a true feeling of what this place is about because it is SODARK inside, but that is not the issue, the true issue is the red neon glow that I never could pinpoint the origin of. With that said, there are enough TV’s around this joint that allow any sports fan to stay current on the score of the game. It is not the most comfy place to be, but then again it isn’t supposed to be Grandma’s kitchen. Next, is the bar and beer selection. I am a fan of a place with a decent beer selection and this place has it. Now dont walk in here thinking you have found the mother land of beers, this is not world of beer you hipster turd, take that somewhere else! Atomic subs and wings has a great line up of bottles and drafts that allow anyone to find at least one of their favorites. I have read over some of the reviews here and I keep seeing the same comment over and over… SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE! Service was not an issue during my visit. The waitress seemed to be the only one working the front and managed to take care of my party, the table next to mine, and the bar top. If you are coming in here for a quick bite then hit up the closest fast food joint, because this is a sit down, bar like atmosphere. The food, oh the food. My party started off with the bite me basket which was decent. I have had better fried pickles and never have tried fried pickled jalapenos. The breading is light on these little dill chips, but they also lack that tartness you look for in a fried pickle. For dinner I had 12 wings with the bone in, wanted to keep it traditional, with two flavors. The Rockstar which is their specialty sauce with a hint of garlic and parm. You cant taste that hint of cheese, but the wings do carry a little heat. My second flavor choice was the Ranch dry rub which was great, it reminded me old school crispy fried chicken with a little zest. Both are worth giving a try. My companion ordered a burger for her meal which I took a few bites of. The burger was bland, there is nothing else to say about it. Don’t order the burger, I mean burger isn’t even in the name of the place so why risk it? The fries are also limp and bland. With all of that I will say Atomic is worth a try if you are looking for wings and dont want to hit the typical spots. It earns 4 stars from me because the wings stood out and the beer selection was vast enough. It looses that last shiny star because of just the little things like the darkness and bland burger.

I have a bad habit of eating at places a multitude of times before even considering a review, however, in Atomic’s case(with its infamous history of interior/kitchen changes) it’s probably best that I’ve waited this long so as to give a proper judgement. I have lived a corner away from the place for over two years, and it used to be a place I would frequent when the beer was super cheap. First off, the service. The serice here is stupid slow, and no, this is not attributed to the aforementioned busy nature of some nights where there are only two waitresses as some other Unilocalers have suggested. I have been here several times in the early afternoon(most recent visit was 1PM), and each time it easily takes the waitress a good 10 minutes to check on me after handing me the menu. Not to mention there were two people at the bar, and a single other table. One table. Two bar patrons. Two waitresses. It’s never been much different before, either — you typically get one refill or check-up a meal. I say or refill because you’re lucky if they even consider asking. You have to flag them down and ask for a refill each time, which is a task because no matter how dead it is the waitresses seem to care more about what’s going on in their phones. On to the food. I have tried just about everything on the menu. Most are hit or miss. Even then, the hit items are typically a miss all depending on when you go up there. I mean, it’s not like the customer should have to try and take a wild jab at whether or not the food will be on par that day or not, but that seems to be the case here at Atomic. For a long time I went through their modest list of wing flavors, and I have to say all but two taste the same. Their standout flavor are the«Rockstar» wings, which are supposed to be some tangy/spicy Parmesan toss. It’s not the worst ever, but there is no hint of Parmesan, ever. Nor is there heat. Their«Atomic» wings carry some heat but there is absolutely no flavor. It’s just a mushy, relish-like sauce they dump onto the wings. Their burgers and subs are no better. On my last visit I ordered a half cheese steak, which the menu claims«Now comes with onions and green peppers.» I did not get onions or green peppers on my cheese steak. I did receive what seemed like four small pieces of the«sirloin» they supposedly pile on it, as well as a heap of lettuce and tomato. Really? Lettuce and tomato on a cheese steak? What the math is that? I guess I should be grateful they remembered to put a tiny bit of provolone cheese on there, right? Hah. Their sides are sad, too. I ordered a small order of sweet potato fries, was brought an order of their homemade chips. Which were just burnt and drowning in salt. This place is a far cry from the decent joint it used to be. You can get much better wings, subs, burgers, anything really, from another establishment. If you’re the type that’s into getting trashed on over-priced beers then scarfing down an uninspired meal, go for it.

I’ll never order anything but the Parmesan and Atomic wings, not cause I don’t trust the menu, but because they are that freakin good. Add a Friday night $ 2.25 bottled Dos Equis special, and I’m hooked! Don’t pass this place up like I did for years. Don’t make yet same mistake I did!

This place doesn’t have the best wings in the neighbourhood. The regular selection of wings are stale and tough to bite through. I got 6 atomic wings and they werent as tasty or spicy as i’ve had em at other places. I haven’t had the atomic sub yet and so am not making any comments on that. Finally, im not going to this place again for wings.
