If I am able, I will shop local. Not sure how long this business has been in existence but it’s really a nice place upstairs there’s clothes and of course you can get tools, firearms, hardware, and I even got a key made today. The staff is friendly and pleasant. Most importantly, they don’t treat you like a number.

Now THIS is an old school full service«hardware» store. Complete with firearm accessories, fishing equipment & licenses, lawn and garden equipment, and just about every typical hardware category of stuff you can think of.

I am usually a little leary of small town anything but I am so confident I can get what I need at the arlington hardware store it just makes things easier. Last month, February 2016, I went in for their monthly sake and I didn’t have any trouble getting everything on my list. Even had a young lady help me fine the moss control and even read the directions to me. And I couldn’t find my knife sharpener so decided to try them out on their 5 for $ 5 deal. I think the man I gave the knives to wanted me to just leave them and come back later. Since I was coming in from over twenty miles he got busy. They came out sharper than ever. Better than my sharpener and it’s a double honed electric. Everyone is very nice even when I’d bring my dog in they all wanted to come over to pat him. I think because of the people who work there is why it’s always so busy. I also want to thank those upstairs in clothing. I’m 6’6″ and it’s incredibly hard finding clothes. Not only did they work with me on what I was looking for they looked for a distributor that could make a special order and deliver it to the store. I couldn’t believe it. And I was still so concerned I didn’t try them on for a month because I didn’t want another clothing failure. But they are perfect. I can’t believe after all these years I’m clothes shopping at a hardware store. And liking it. Great job.

You know what I love about this store? Their customer service might just rival Nordstrom, no really. They want your business; man, woman, or what-have-you. And, having recently returned to shopping in Arlington, after graduating from AMHS way back in ’82, I couldn’t help but smile to realize this was the same great quality, selection, and SERVICE they have always had. They know their merchandise and they know their customers, how cool is that? WARNING: I wandered into their super-cool house stuff… danger! So many great items at Arlington prices, versus Bellevue… fabulous! Serious knowledge and hometown kindness? How can you go wrong? Thank you!

IMHO the«old-timey» stores are overrated, often catering only to locals and overpriced. Arlington Hardware really is a great alternative to Lowe’s or Home Depot. The prices aren’t bad, especially on the first Saturday of every month when most stuff is 20% off. Service is very good, especially on paint and other items where some assistance is really appreciated. Finally, the clothing section upstairs is much better than one might expect– I picked up workout T-shirts there, 3 for $ 10, and they are great, they have them regularly as well. Check out the hunting and fishing counter, they have a good ammo selection and that also gets 20% off on the first Saturday– good place to stock up. Worth going out of your way for, and if this place is more convenient to you than Depot and Lowe’s even better. Although the staffs at both those places in Smokey Point and Marysville are also quite good.

Hands down the the best hardware store around. Go on the first Saturday of the month and you’ll get 20 percent off! Plus they sell everything and are very friendly. Screw the big stores this place competes!

What a great store in downtown Arlington! It’s a hardware store, but so much more than I expected! It’s 2 levels with tons of stuff! You can get your tools/hardware, and also cute things for your house and garden. Walk upstairs for great clothes for everyone in your family. I would definitely recommend stopping in, if you are downtown.
