I don’t know why it took me so long to try this Halal food cart. The chicken over rice is delicious! I was expecting kabob-style chunks of grilled meat, but the chicken is thinly sliced and heavily seasoned. It’s so moist and tender you don’t even need a knife to break the meat apart! The rice plates(w/either lamb or chicken) come with chickpeas and a small salad of lettuce and tomatoes. The veggies were crisp and fresh, and the yogurt sauce is yummy. The rice is really tasty and probably fried in tons of butter… I completely tore it up. It was so satisfying *drools.* The portion is pretty large for only $ 7. The gentleman working the cart is very pleasant, and he’s so diligent when packing up your food. Cash only here!

I used to work in Crystal City. This is the only thing I miss from there. I am not exaggerating. Skip the gyro, get the rice plate(with chicken or lamb, doesn’t matter). Great value, tasty food. Best way to fill up in Dullsville, VA. I wish this food truck was near my current office. :sigh:

I walk past this cart on the way to lunch frequently and finally talked myself into giving it a try. I had a lamb gyro, which was pretty messy. Taste was decent. If I decide to try again, I will probably spend a little more and go with rice and use a fork.
