A-1 Cleaners Shoe Repair & Alterations

I’ve been here on several occasions for dry cleaning and minor alterations and quick fixes on a broken zipper or a ripped shirt. They do a great job and it isn’t pricey. I just come here because it’s close to my apartment. There really isn’t anything special about this place and I have yet to find something to complain about.

This was my first time really taking something to get altered for a real reason — my MOH dress for a wedding. All other times have just been shortening some pants so I usually just have family help me with them. But this one had to be done right.
I came in and the lady was quick to help me. I put on my dress and told her that I wanted it shortened and fabric taken off. She put pins where they needed to be and told me to come back in 10 days. I came back in 12 but she needed an extra day which was fine with me because I had asked her to do a lot and also my fabric was chiffon. which I’ve been told can be very difficult.
Point is. I got my dress after she altered it and it fit perfectly the way I wanted it too. Perfect length, perfect waist, and she had taken off just the right amount of fabric without any threads showing. She altered it just the way I needed it.
