YMA Taekwondo & Krav Maga

recently joined here and am glad I did! I have been looking for some self defense classes for a while and found this to be the best fit for my needs. the teachers are well trained and very helpful. classes are tough but in the best way. you know you are learning some great skills and a good workout. if you’re looking to really learn more about quality self defense, then this is your place. check it out.

We love this place! My son has been going there for over 3 Years and we have always been very happy. The facility is clean, the instructors are tough but fair and he has made very good friends. We have always felt very welcome and are very disappointed we missed the holiday party this year!

YMA is a great place. A very clean and friendly environment. I been taking Krav Maga and K. O bag and I love it. Great instructors, very knowledgeable and very helpful. Yes classes are mix levels but they always make sure beginners practice with beginners and they teach specific techniques for each level. Every class is designed to work on specific techniques. Some are harder some are easier but that’s part of a training. And I love it. Great program and very practical self defense.

Came here for a groupon a while ago. The first day I walked in the lady in the office explained the limitations of the Groupon. Essentially if you don’t start on THEIR first day, you are just jumping into an already formed group of people and are way behind in skills and techniques. When I asked for them to show me what they learned the last couple weeks ago I could get up to speed they flat out told me no and acted annoyed when I wasn’t getting the moves right… In the first day of class.
It was an annoying experience, I stayed for two more weeks thinking it would get better and nothing changed. I didn’t even bother going back and have steered about 5 others away. Maybe they changed since then, but be warned they are not good at making new people feel comfortable. It felt like they didn’t want people with a Groupon to stay in their classes, there were two others in the same class who said the same thing.
