I have been a patient of Dr. Vavrik’s for over 30 years. At one point I was driving 40 miles one way to get to him! Now I happily live only 5 minutes from his office.
Not only is he is an excellent dentist… he is gentle, caring and very attentive to keeping his patients as pain free as possible. He never makes me feel rushed… and has a warm genuine personality.
His hygienists and front office staff are all well trained and likewise pleasant to work with. That all of his staff has been with him long term, (ten years or more), says a lot. His office and parking are conveniently located.
Years ago when my father was visiting me from out-​of-​state and having an issue with his new dental bridge… Dr. Vavirik graciously adjusted it for him at no charge.
I would highly recommend Dr. Vavrik to anyone… but especially to people who get nervous about going to the dentist. Dr. Vavrik will put you at ease and take good care of your dental needs. I have referred other friends who have stayed with him long term too.

I basically agree with Junie’s excellent review (except for the FIVE star part ;~) I DID have trouble several times with billing and frankly PRICE-​ing when I had asked the front office what a procedure was going to COST… and then was billed HIGHer.
So, I personally liked Dr. Vavrik, he likes freaky movies, me too — I left with a small bill I was disputing and NEVER received any follow up from the front or back office other than more bills. I was promised a return phone call to compromise (my assumption), never got it (their personal problems), never paid, because he NEVER called me. BeWARE.
So, yes competent, and a nice guy, NOT cheap and watch out for the mysterious fat FOG between front and back office… be VERY CLEAR on pricing. GET it in writing.
NO break for NO insurance in my experience.

Dr Vavrik was my dentist for 25 yrs (until I moved out of state). I love him. (And who says that about the dentist!!!) Pain free shots. Replaced old fillings, straightened my bottom teeth, did one crown — careful and never rushed. Responsive to dental emergencies — bite adjustments, pain, TMJ. Shares knowledge about effects of prescription drugs like Boniva. I have sensitive teeth and receding gums, but his hygienists were able to clean my teeth without hurting me. He also does work with elderly nursing home patients — a kind heart.
