I’m going to need storage space when I move from the Arlington Heights area to Chicago and wish I could take SPACE Self Storage with me. In my opinion, SELF is the best option in the area for storage needs. The location, administration, pricing, access and the space itself were just what we needed and we appreciate the cleanliness and good working condition of the facilities.
Before finding SPACE, we used a well-​known chain storage facility. There was tons of paperwork and hassle to get signed up, they charged hidden fees (so their advertised pricing isn’t even close to actual), they made us buy THEIR lock (which was overpriced), the space was dingy and dark, and there were hassles (such as not being able to use their cart (only one for a very large building) without making an additional trip to the office to get a key to unlock it). Even the cancellation process was cumbersome and added even MORE fees.
With SPACE, the initial sign-​up was simple and quick, the price is fair and includes no hidden fees, the facilities are clean and well lit, and there are THREE carts (no locks) always available. When I let them know I was moving out, all they needed was a quick e-​mail and a 10-​day notice. No hassles — no extra fees — friendly.
You won’t regret choosing this friendly, independent, clean alternative to the big-​name brand.
