I visited here a few years ago around Halloween and everyone was dancing and having a great time. I had not been back in a few years so decided to try it out again. I went on a Thursday night and it was much more of a lounge setting which was perfect for the night I went. I am guessing it was around 10pm, there were people sitting up at the bar and my friends and I took at seat on the couches. The walls are decorated to give the feeling that you are on the moon with craters and such. Pretty neat and creative set up. We each enjoyed a martini, I had the classic apple martini and I was not disappointment. One of my friends had a martini with aloe in the name. I tried it and honestly it was very refreshing and a perfect summer drink. not to sweet either. I want to say that the martinis were only $ 7 that Thursday that we went. If that is an every Thursday special, I would for sure go back on Thursdays but I am not sure if that is a reoccurring deal or not.

I only gave three stars for basically how great and sweet our server was. For a place that specializes in martinis, I was really not that impressed! Just as pricey as a martini in the city but I’ve had much better. Our server was very nice and I didn’t have the courage to send the drinks because of that! Haha

Wide variety of martinis to choose from and super yummy however they lack liquor for sure. Bartenders were very friendly and down to earth. Good music not over kill euro. Place did smell a bit on the musty side though. I’d go back but not in a hurry.

This is a hidden gem in downtown Arlington Heights! Love going here with friends, dates, and hanging with my siblings! Love the lounge couches, music, outdoor seating, super nice cocktail waitress, and of course the delicious drinks! My two favorites are the Key Lime and Espresso!

The atmosphere is great. The seating is very nice. The music is a little too upbeat for what we would consider a Martini Bar. The bartender Christina is a big help and very cool.

Maybe I’m just getting old but I expect way better and this place SUCKS. This place should be called«Eurotrash Dance Club». It has NOBUSINESS calling itself a martini lounge. Martini bars to me= swank and hip. This place= a total dirty dump with HORRIBLE tasting martinis. There were«flowers» made out of toilet paper or paper towels in a cheesy vase, ugly candles, chairs that malfunctioned and were practically dripping with crabs. A total meat market. I will never venture to downtown Arlington Heights again! Silly me trying something new. EW.

I’m here on a Wednesday so I understand the lack of patronage, but this place has neither the right music décor or staffing… Srry thumbs down– strong drinks tho

A few friends and I were at Redmoon this past Saturday, and we sat at the bar. The bartender(I think her name was Christina) was really slammed and it looked like it was just her behind the bar. She came over to us right when we sat down, though, and we all ordered martinis and surprisingly got them quickly. Everyone really liked their drinks. I had a pomegranate martini and it was tasty. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was fun for a night out. I would come back again!

Cool place with great little dance floor. Chicago caliber DJ. Easy to dance to, but it’s still possible to hold a conversation. The martinis are all sweet, but they have a ton. The only thing that doesn’t fit are the giant tv’s.

I saw that this place had mediocre reviews on Unilocal,so I was hesitant to try it out. But, I decided to take my chances. Needless to say… I wasn’t impressed. When we walked in, we were the only people besides one other couple. We sat ourselves on one of the red couches. It was semi-comfortable. One of the first things I noticed was the décor — the bar looks cool, and even the moon themed walls were different. But the disco ball and tiny dance floor were a little disappointing(and annoying). The music made me want to punch my brains out, and the ridiculous MTV show that was on the big screen didn’t put me in the mood to party. We couldn’t wait to leave. Our server was nice, so that was a plus. The martinis were ok, not the best I’ve had. They were also $ 9…which is somewhat normal for a martini… but I’ve seen better deals. It didn’t make me want to drink more. Their food menu is not extensive by any means, so we didn’t order food either. Sorry Red Moon… I think I’d rather have my drinks back here on earth.

Love this place! Owner is super friendly. Sat at the bar and all the sudden random shots showed up from him. Martini’s are HUGE and AMAZING! Most places the martini’s are 6−8oz’s and bland. They have spent a long time creating and perfecting the huge list of martini’s. Sushi is great as well if you go early enough for food. It is primarily a bar so dont go thinking its a huge sushi list or anything. But great for a snack. and their fries… dunno what he does with them but man they are awesome!(but maybe its just the fact that I’m eating them when I’m drunk… dunno!) The DJ’s are really good. They’ll mix videos from time to time and I always find that cool. Can get crowded because the place is small but for an Arlington Heights bar, its at least not jam packed with old stuffy people(Peggies/Harrys/Piano bar). The bartenders and servers are always friendly and a riot to talk to. Belly up to this bar and you wont be disappointed!

1: plum martini: It’s an Asian style martini. 2: fire island martini: It’s a Bloddy Mary type drink. 3: sweet tart martini: It tastes like the candy! 4: mango pama martini: It’s very tropical. This list shares our rankings of the martinis my husband and I tried at the lounge. I must say the martinis overall are quite tasty. When you go there, open your minds and try the martinis that sound exotic. Those are the best ones on the menu. The menu itself was pretty extensive. I don’t even remember how many martinis were even on it. The atmosphere is very club-like. I thought it would be like one of those fancy jazz lounges, but it’s more of a dance club. I would recommend groups of twenty-somethings or girls’ nights out to come here for a good time. If you want to go to a romantic bar, don’t come here. This is the place to dress to impress. Lastly, keep in mind that this lounge is hidden behind the Arlington Theaters. My husband and I drove around the block at least two times trying to find it. To save you time, park in the garage underneath the Arlington Theaters. It’s in that little shopping center. You need to walk to the left of the theater into this«alley», and then you’ll find the place. Trust me. If you are looking to have a fun night out with friends, come to Redmoon and try some fun martinis.

Shot, shot, shot, shot, shot~~ This is THE place for a Girls Night Out if you wanna stay in the burbs to dance, drink, and have fun in a small, friendly atmosphere with fast table-side service. No cover, friendly teddy-bear-like bouncer named Tony, no ugly guys bothering you(unless you’re single & want the good-looking ones to), outdoor patio open during the warmer months, several video screens to look at if your company’s boring, not too fancy, but still great downtown Chicago club music. Within the past few years, I’ve been here on a week night, weekend, After party, K-Pop party, before 11pm, after midnight, a private cocktail party between 6−9pm, and ALL have been great times. Depending on the day of the week, night, & time you visit, Red Moon will be a new experience each time. But we all know~ it’s the company you keep that sets the mood of a bar… If you want a BIG club experience, drive downtown to Chicago! Otherwise, this should suffice your«night on the town» dance craving. Delicious martinis(my favorite is the Kryptonite, the only one I can remember. ^^) & dance music by live DJs(the owner, JC, is the best DJ of them all, if you’re lucky enough to hear him mix on the night you’re there). It’s small, very small, so if you want a decent lounge space to sit, go before 11:30pm on weekends. Otherwise, you can drop in for a «quiet» weekday evening with club music, sipping one of their martinis(on a huge list) prepared by the best mixologists, served on over-sized martini glasses. Trust me, it’s worth the money.(I never order wines by the glass at a bar, ’cause I wouldn’t know when that bottle was opened, although I trust bars would throw them out after a few day?!? Right~) This is a martini lounge. Give it a try~ You can have bottle service with unlimited juices & sodas. A bottle of Greygoose is always nice. Belvedere was $ 160 when we went last weekend, which is perfect when in a larger group(especially when you have non-drinkers in your group). Ask for cranberry and pineapple juices~ yum! My friends & I usually go there after dinner in the Arlington Heights area, so don’t really know about their food, except for the hors d’oeuvres from the private parties — which were decent enough finger foods. You know, the fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, cocktail shrimp, French fries, dumplings~ couldn’t complain. Don’t be shy~ walk in like you own the place, say, «Hey, Tony» to the big guy in front, sit at a bar alone or lounge in one of the bright red«leather-looking» ottomans and couches with friends, have a few martinis, and you’ll have a great time! Oh, yeah, call ahead to make sure they don’t have a private party, and don’t forget your photo ID. They’re quite strict about being over 21!

So, I have to update Redmoon from 4 stars to 5!!! I just went to Red Moon for my birthday last night, and it was AMAZING! Granted, my girlfriends and I come here on a regular basis, so we know the staff… but still… they made me and my party feel so special! I’ve never come to Red Moon on a Saturday night, and it definatly got crowded around midnight! There was still ample seating for people, which that has never been an issue(which to me is great!) I really recommend this place for Girls Night Out. They have amazing martinis and the staff is always great every time I visit!!!

I’m a fan — I have been twice — and hosted a holiday party. it was a Saturday night — and they were on the ball. Good waitstaff — no reason to wait for a drink. martini’s made very well — love it when they know how to make a proper martini. The vibe was great — music was good — but — WTH about the how freaking loud they make it… it’s a martini bar … drinks average $ 9-$ 11 — and you are blasted out of there. There is now way to really talk — it was bordering on miserable — to the point in December that we all started gravitating outside — and finally we left. We could easily have done much more damage on our wallets — staying — but it just wasn’t worth it. its a great place during the week to sit and chill — great snacks! but not worth it on the weekend if you want to do anything more than pantomime having another drink

Couple of friends and I came here on a Saturday night around 10pm. We were there to have a few drinks to celebrate a birthday. When we walked in, I noticed that there was good music playing. I enjoyed that very much. It wasn’t as loud as everyone else’s review says. It was at the right tempo where I did not have to shout and could still hear myself think. Next thing I noticed was the atmosphere and decoration of Red Moon Martini Lounge. I like how the back wall of the bar was painted like a «red moon». There were also lounges in the middle of the place. This lounge is extremely small. There were lounges that were already reserved when this place was not busy at all. We got stuck in a corner with bar stools that faced the wall. It was extremely awkward. At the time, there was 2 parties that the place was hosting. Both of the parties had about 10 — 15 people each. We were able to order and get our drinks quickly. We each ordered a martini. Unfortunately, they ran out of martini glasses. Two of us were left with a regular glass. It’s not the same… The martinis itself were extremely tasty!!! I had the Expresso Martini. It was simply DELICIOUS!!! I highly recommend it. That contained a double expresso vodka, Starbucks Liqueur, Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur, and a little bit of cream. The is definitely heaven in the mouth. Despite the small place and the awkward seating, I did enjoy their martinis. Therefore, I rated this place a 3 star. We left this place around 11:30pm. And this place was getting less business…

I first stumbled upon Red Moon when I was looking on Unilocal for interesting new places to try. I kept telling myself I would check it out, but did not get around to it until recently and I am very glad I did. The atmosphere of Red Moon is very different and difficult to explain. The walls are painted like the surface of the moon and all of the accents are … you guessed it. red! The lounge itself is really nice and clean still(and so are the restrooms… always a plus at places where people are drinking!). There is also an outdoor patio so you can enjoy your martinis while taking in the beautiful summer weather. I have tried three of the martinis here and they were all fantastic. I had the Ecstasy, Seduction and a taste of the Moonwalker. The martinis have awesome flavor, yet they are still fairly strong. Red Moon has a full bar, so if you are not feeling a martini you can order any mixed drink or a beer as well. The music is good, but the DJ tends to repeat the same songs and I wish they would turn the music own just a bit. I couldn’t hear what the people with me were saying half the time! I also wish people here would dance more. I mean the couches and tables are really comfy so I understand why people want to stay stationary, but when I get a couple drinks in me. I WANNADANCE! I went late on a Friday night and the place remained pretty empty until close. There was a definite mixture of people there. It seemed like mostly guys drinking beers in the bar. Maybe that was just the night I went…

Only giving 4 stars because the music was too loud in this place. Arrived around 1030pm on saturday. Place was half empty. Few wierdos at the bar sucking on bud light. Ordered some absolutly scrumdiliamcious martinis. Service very prompt and friendly. Nice bootyshaking music to which we were shaking booties 20min later. To single ladies; not a good spot to pick up a guy! But, good spot to relax, dance and enjoy drinks. It is a small place, and music just a bit too. loud if you want to have a conversation. Ohh yea, it became busy around 12am or so. Will be coming back.

I’ve been to Red Moon quite a number of times, most recently this past Wednesday. Everytime I go the place is pretty dead. Perhaps it’s because it’s weekdays but both times there have only been a couple of other people in the lounge besides my friends and I. The dim lighting is great however it’s slightly cold inside. The music is always bumping with their own DJ right in there. Love it. Service is excellent, drinks are tasty, prices aren’t too bad. The décor is interesting. It’s like a lounge you would find downtown but right in downtown Arlington Heights. It’s a pity more people don’t frequent it to give it that downtown chic feel.

I have mixed feeling about this place. I want it to be awesome so bad but every time i go i get disappointed. I discovered this place thru Unilocal.A friend and I wanted to grab a drink after our sushi dinner and i wanted to go to a new place. Redmoon was close by so we gave it a try. When i walked in i felt very comfortable. I know some people say the décor is cheesy but it works for me. It’s a little dimmed with comfy leather red sofas in one area and funky looking bar stools in the other. It has patio although it’s winter and i am not a smoker so there is no use of it for me. It was a friday evening but the place was not so busy. We sat by the bar, we ordered 2 drinks and we were never asked for another ones by the bartender… he simply forgot about us. Second time around it was wed night. I counted 11 people total(including the bartender, myself and a friend). Even tho I am not much of a martini drinker I must say their martinis are delish. Definitely larger sized than normally and mon– wed it’s $ 6 martinis. Great deal… i wish there were more people. My last visit was this pass saturday. The place picked up a little. There were maybe 20 people instead of 11 but for a saturday night was not enough. My friend and I ordered two glasses of red wine and we were stoked… one glass was $ 10 and it was the cheap california made, aged on the truck kind of wine. The bottle probably cost $ 4.99 at the grocery store and here we are paying 10 bucks for very bad quality TINY glass of wine. Better stick with those martinis. I will give this place a few more tries before i will forget about it all together. I love the urban feeling of this lounge. I hope it gets busier in the summer. I would not mind becoming a regular. I just need someone to socialize with!
