I found NWUA through my primary care doctor and cannot say enough good things about this practice. From the moment I scheduled my appointment through my procedure they were a pure pleasure. I went into them for a vasectomy and of course was a little hesitant with some of the horror stories I have heard about other practices.
Dr. Huynh (WIN) put any worries to the side and was a great and friendly doctor who I would intrust with this proceeder again and again (thankfully I do not have to do that:)). Dr. Huynh walked me through ever step of the way and did so even in the procedure to calm the nerves.
Thank you for a great and friendly experience! You have my referral for a lifetime!

I was a regular patient at Northwest Urological Associates for a few years and experienced nothing but utter rudeness and a poor attitude from the front desk and the staff of Northwest Urological Associates. The only reason I didn’t change doctors was because I didn’t want to go through the hassle.
Today I called to make my yearly appointment for a prostate exam and the person at the front desk was her usual angry and combative self. She was so aggressive that I actually had to ask her to please tone it down a little, I wasn’t complaining about anything, I was only trying to make an appointment for my yearly exam. Her response was to angrily say, «You want me to tone it down, OK, I’ll just put you on hold.»
While waiting on hold, I remembered that I get treated like this by them every year (remembered because I only see them once a year and their rudeness wasn’t at the top of my mind at the time them I called, my only agenda was to make my yearly appointment). After waiting on hold for about ten minutes, I decided that this was the year to stop putting myself through dealing with a rude and combative staff and make an appointment with a urologist who employed personnel who conducted themselves in a more professional manner.

They say an organization is only as good as its weakest link. The weak link here is the woman who sits at the front desk and checks you in.
Today I brought my 88-​year-​old wheelchair bound Dad in for a shot. We arrived on time for our 11:30 am appointment and checked in at the front desk. She confirmed our appointment and asked us to have a seat.
More than a half hour later, I went back to the front desk to ask «How much longer will it be?»
She went in the back to speak to a nurse and reported they’d be with us shortly.
Within minutes, my Dad got his shot. As we were leaving I made a comment to the nurse about how long we had to wait.
She politely informed me that they were notified of our arrival just a few minutes earlier.
Apparently the woman at the front desk never let anyone in the back know we were waiting up front.

James C. Kim — very gratefull to see this doctor. I was eccesively urinating for a month, every 5 minutes I had to use the bathroom, my ginecologist put me on 3 different antibiotic thinking is infection that does not show. I could not sleep at night. I was aggrivated and worried. After a month of this unpleasant issue I got to doctor Kim. The office stuff was great, they made a quick appt (I was asking for that since I was leabing for vacation), they were all nice. Doctor Kim is good listener, very proffesional, he explained what could be happening. He also — since I did not have insurance at the time — give me a special price for the visit, saying money problem should not stop anybody to go to the doctor. He gave me medicine for weeks to use, also he change prescrioption when I found out I can afford the price of it. I went to him twice. Later I stopped using vesicare after 6 months thanx to book Dr. Alex Loyd The Healing Codes but that is another story.

Absolutely worst patient service ever!!!
My dad was having blood in his urine and severe pain on his side… which I predicted would be some kind of stone. We got a referral to see Dr. James Kim in February. We waited over 2 hours past our appt time, (during which several patients got angry and left), and Dr. Kim ordered a CT of his abdomen. We went and got the CT done the very same day, since the pain was escalating.
This office did not contact us for over a week (during which I have called several times to check the results). We were told that my dad has 4 stones two weeks later and that my dad needed a surgery to remove them. I did not trust this office and got a second opinion from our primary doctor who told us that we should wait to see if he can pass them.
3months later, and no stone, no pain… got a call from this office claiming that my dad might still need surgery and that he should get a kub X-​ray done. He got it done the very next day beginning of May. The imaging center sent fax of the results in few hours (I have a friend who works at 3T imaging) but this office once again claimed they never got it. And once again, no one returned our phone calls for over 3 weeks… Furious, I went over with 2 CDs of the X-​ray and the CT on Monday, and they would not return my call for over 10 days!!! Every time I called, I would get the «nurse will call u right back» bs!!!
Today (June 12) I called AGAIN to get the result of the tests and was told he wants a ultrasound of the kidneys. Ummmmm… how about sharing the results of the first 2 tests in last 4 months first, morons???
Then the nurse has the audacity to say they are a very busy office and cannot always return calls. Shut up… that is not an excuse!!! You are dealing with sick, scared people in pain.
I will never return to this office, and discourage anyone from using this service. You earn ur petty living by servicing the needs of the people who pay for ur hourly pay…
I will report you to medical board… and let them decide if pushing back test results of a sick individual for 4 months is logical. Shame on you.

I sought the medical counsel of Dr. James Kim for urological issues. He was exceptional — knowledgeable, good listener, and excellent beside manners. I grew up with excellent physicians (family, friends, and neighbors), so I am particularly careful about whom I see for healthcare advice. I highly endorse Dr. Kim.
