Since early 2013, KINTASUSHI2 has closed. This has changed to a Korean restaurant.

We were brought to Kinta a few weeks back by another couple who love sushi just as much as we do. We’ve been looking for new places lately, and my sushi craving has been in full swing(NO, I’m not knocked up.) I was familiar with where Kinta was located, because I’d been there when it was Bowl House(how long ago was *that*?!?) but had easily driven past it hundreds of times without notice. I like smaller sushi joints generally, because the service and food tend to be better. Admittedly, the service at Kinta was a little slow when we went(it was a Friday night, around 6:30−7.) There were only one or two other full tables, but for some reason, everything was just really slow. We had to ask for hot tea twice. Water took FOREVER. I was getting nervous. The food, however, completely made up for this, and our friends assured us that this snail-like service was not normal. Each of us was given complimentary house salad with ginger dressing, which was not the best I’ve had, but certainly not the worst. Besides, the sushi is the star here! We had many rolls that are not listed on the menu and I don’t remember their names. The spicy ones had perfect spice, the not-spicy ones were equally as flavorful without the heat. The ingredients used were obviously fresh, and not a speck of sushi was left on our plates. The prices were reasonable, sushi is the one thing I don’t skimp on. I will happily pay more for quality ingredients rather than risking it later. Kinta will not leave you disappointed, they had a great selection of specialty rolls, both spicy and not, cooked and raw. We will be back, with our buddies for sure!

What can I say I’ve been here twice and fully satisfied both times, the first time was for lunch, I had 3 rolls for me and one other person and we spent around $ 30 without tip. The other night I went again and had the King Kong roll which was amazing !!! I also had the Miami roll which was very good. This place is inexpensive and the quality of the sushi is very good. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because the service is a tad bit slow. I had to ask for water both times I was there and they don’t check up on you as often as I would like. All in all an excellent place for sushi and nice and quiet atmosphere, I highly recommend this place.

I stopped in because of a gift certificate I bought on . A cozy little sushi joint with some great sushi and great prices. When we got there, we were the only people in the restaurant. The restaurant was cold but they quickly turned on a space heater and pointed it in our direction. As more guests started coming in, the restaurant got warmer(I think they turned on the heat). The service was great. We received free salad, soup, small appetizer and strawberries for dessert! 2 of us filled up on 3 rolls and have already made plans to go back. Take Away: Great rolls, great dining experience!

We’ve been here a number of times for dinner. Most of the food has been 4 – 5 stars, but almost every time, there is some issue with one dish in our party’s order or one or two missed items. Kinta Sushi2 is a go-to spot for us, but it’s not consistent enough to win a 5-star review from me.

Wow, this place serves up some of the BEST sushi around. The cozy and warm setting and the great service here, is something that can not be surpassed. To start off, at kinta sushi, they start you off with homemade miso soup and mixed greens with a savory ginger dressing. The soup had a great taste, not too salty nor watery, just right. And on to the sushi… the king kong roll filled with crab, tuna, sliced veggies, and then crisped on the outside with tempura, this is the best sushi roll known to man. Second in line is the miami roll. Crab meat with cream cheese and tempura all rolled up into a symphonic blend of flavor. Don’t let me fool you, this place doesn’t only come through with sushi, but the teriyaki grill and bento boxes are some of the best deals around. I will keep frequenting this place because of all it has to offer, something other restaurants cant seem to get. If you haven’t been here yet, your truly missing out on great value, flavor, and service. come in here soon!

Went there for lunch yesterday… service was slow, very. The temperature of the restaurant was hot, very. Sushi is decent. They have many Bento box options on the menu so I will try it again when I have more time. That is all…

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while but the last time I came by, they were closed on a Sunday. So a few months went by and finally I stopped by again for dinner. I’m glad I came back because their food is really good as well as price. They give you complimentary miso soup and salad, which not many places do. The soft shell crab appetizer was different than most places-comes with green bean tempura and salad. The crab was a bit overcooked but the tempura was just perfect. We had rolls, and their fish is very fresh. The sushiman and our server were both nice and the service is good. I’m looking to go back to try their bento and sashimi next. I’d pick Kinta as my first choice sushi place around this area from now on because the quality of fish is good and price is cheaper than my other favorites. The ambiance is probably not for those on first dates, but if you’re just looking to get good sushi at great price point, this is your place.

I went there on a friday night with some church people. I really liked the sushi that was prepared. The fish is fresh and really satisfying for me. I also got a bento. the plate they served it on was pretty huge, it took up half the table. but a lot of my church members really enjoyed the food and were satisfied.

We came here thinking it was still Woory House. Once we sat and received the menus… my eyes got wide open. WHEREISTHEKOREANFOOD that we love? No more places for kalguksoo that me and my boyfriend love! We were to famished to leave and go elsewhere. The salad and miso are served first, I believe complimentary. As well as green tea. The salad dressing is ok. They hardly dress the salad. I wish they gave me a bit more dressing. I liked the flavor but it was a bit too watered down. The miso was normal… neither great nor bad. We ordered the Sushi & Sashimi Combo(Dinner) and the Tempura Udon(Dinner). The sushi and sashimi combo comes with about six pieces each of nigiri and sashimi. I loved the sashimi! Great quality. The combo also comes with a shrimp tempura roll, which is very unique than other places. I liked it! We also ordered the agedashi tofu which was a bit undercooked in my opinion but can’t go wrong with tofu. Very well fried and the sauce was yummy. It was garnished with some dry laver. The tempura udon comes with a side of tempura and sauce so no need to order a tempura appetizer. We also ordered the Mountain Roll. It was superb! This place is great if you’re more of a roll person. They have plenty of specialty rolls. Many are similar to other places but has ingredient tweaks which you may or may not like. For example some rolls with common names are California Sunset, Smokey Bear, Crunchy Murphy(aka crunchy muffy or crunch melt), Ocean Drive, White Sox, White Dragon, Red Dragon, and so on and so on. This place doesn’t seem to have much advertising out yet. Overall, the menu was colorful with pictures for every roll. Yea!!! A place where you know what you’re getting! I was impressed even by the prices. With all that food, it only came out to be under $ 60 for two people. I’d like to see others give this new place a chance. They seem to be a chain or franchise off of the Kinta in Carol Stream? Not sure. It’ll take a few more times to get a 5-star review. But I’d definitely like to try some of the other appetizers and bento boxes. Service was great too. I don’t know how they’d do if they were busy because they had one server on a Saturday night.
