I do not recommend seeing Dr. Robert J. Kapicka there if your regular primary care physician is unavailable. I did and it was a big mistake. On November 24, 2014, I went to Dr. Kapicka, who refused to sign a form for me saying that I have a physical disability for my state ID, although it is blatantly obvious that I have a permanent physical disability just by looking at me. He also refused to prescribe me medication for my pain and my cold, saying that any over the counter medicine would work. He didn’t even examine me. He told me to find a doctor specializing in my disability. As far as I know, there are no primary care physicians specializing in my disability. My disability is not a rare disability requiring a lot of extraordinary treatment and yet I come across many doctors, including Dr. Kapicka, who refuse to treat me. I wouldn’t recommend him to people who do not have any disability either. I am not a fan of the Northwest Community Hospital system that doesn’t have electronic communication system, but they just implemented some system upgrades(I’m not exactly sure for what). Its staff do not always seem the most competent, but there are some very competent and friendly staff there. The building itself is outdated, but is for the most part accessible. The exam rooms are small, but I can fit in them with my wheelchair and there is still room for my assistant and the doctor. There are limited wheelchair accessible parking spaces, but it is a relatively small parking lot. They do have a ramp from the parking lot to the lobby/waiting room, where there is a spacious one room unisex restroom without any stalls. The restrooms in the hospital beyond the one in the waiting room are narrow and not wheelchair accessible.
