Stayed here a few months back before moving to the area. Great location, clean, comfortable and well priced. Staff friendly and helpful. This hotel filled our needs just perfectly. Rooms are pretty large too.

Staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious. Gym is well equipped if you like to work out. I like to separate eat in area downstairs. We ordered food and used that area with kids so it was nice not to worry about kids disturbing next room neighbors. We enjoyed our stay and will definatly book again. Area is high population Asian area. So there are plenty of Japense and Asian restaurant to choose from nearby.

My Husband and I got married last year on August 28th. We had a block of rooms here for our guests, as well as the Presidential suite. The Double Tree was very accommodating for our large bridal party. My bridesmaids and I got ready in my Presidential Suite, which is very spacious. I had professional make-up artists come in, so you can believe it was a packed house! The suite fit everyone comfortably. Also, if you have someone stay in the connecting room, you can make the Presidential Suite bigger. It was nice having an extra room to lay down and relax before your hair/make-up appointment. When my husband and I came back after the reception, they already prepared chocolate covered strawberries, cheese, crackers, and I believe there was champagne. It was an overall great wedding! The DoubleTree made it super special.

This has to be one of the better doubletree so have ever stayed at. The staff is very friendly and polite and as a Hiltonhonor gold member they upgraded me to their largest suite! The only disappointing part of this short stay what the breakfast… the scrambled eggs were rather cold and they had a limited variety of fruits. The reason I am giving this hotel a 5 star review is strictly for the room upgrade, see for yourself below.

Note: Shuttle is upon availability! When I called before booking the rep assured me I would have a shuttle at the airport pick me up when my flight lands at 11:30pm. I didn’t get to the hotel till 1am because their shuttle driver left at 11pm and had to take a taxi. Then when we had to check out the front desk stated a ride to the airport would be 2 hours from when I needed it yet they were excellent at dropping/picking up at the local market or mall. So I ended up taking a taxi to the airport. In the end, don’t rely on their shuttle which was the reason why I booked at this place without renting a car. If they would have been honest I wouldn’t have been in that situation. Last thing you should all know is the a/c and heater makes a loud noise when it’s on. This might be a problem while you try to sleep.

We used the Doubletree for our wedding block and were beyond impressed! From our first meeting, we got a great tour and they even gave us a free appetizer and drink in addition to the delicious cookies. The bridal suite was very nice and perfect for large bridal party to get ready in. From the moment we signed our contract through wedding week, Bobbie was a savior. She answered all of our emails promptly and was so patient with our 1000 questions and 100+ guests. The booking link was so convenient both for us and our guests and if there was ever an issue, Bobbie was to the rescue. The night of the rehearsal dinner I realized I had screwed up on our shuttle reservation. She made sure it occurred seamlessly and without a sweat on the brides brow. The room for my cousin was supposed to be adjoined. They fixed it immediately and gave them a cheese plate to apologize. The night of our wedding we also received champagne and a fruit and cheese plate courtesy of Bobbie. I was so impressed with our entire stay and would recommend this place to anyone, specifically for a room block. Ask for Bobbie and you will be in great hands for your entire planning.

We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago — Arlington Heights over 4th of July weekend, and had a great experience. The hotel was affordable, clean, and they provided free cookies at check in. I also tagged them on Twitter, and within minutes they responded. Of course, the mention was about cookies! This hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, too. The only issue I had was in the gym. I didn’t bring gym shorts, but decided to lift one evening with my jeans on. I sat down, and felt a sharp pain in my left left. There was a sharp piece of metal sticking out under where my legs would rest. It also ripped my jeans. The manager apologized and asked me to replace the jeans and send a copy of my receipt for reimbursement. No questions asked. That is quality customer service that you can’t find everywhere. We had a great time, and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for providing such a great experience in the Chicagoland area. Cheers!

Wow… I stay at Hilton properties only and I usually like Doubletree and Hiltons but this has to be one of the worst Doubletree I have ever been to. I had a late flight and checked in at 1:30AM and the customer service was HORRIBLE. Just HORRRRRIIIBLLLLLEEEE. Even when I called earlier in the day to confirm my reservation the guy(jesus I think) was rude and sounded so irritated. You’re in the hospitality business!!! Be hospitable!

Horrible service. I asked if they truly go for«10» rating in their customer service like it says on their name tags. I asked the supervisor how well their service was right now, and he said an 8… I’d say 5, but not good service.

I booked a wedding hold on rooms under the previous owner and was promised a suite and shuttle service for my guests. Doubletree bought it out before the wedding and started gutting the suite just before my big day. My bridesmaids then got crammed into two adjoining rooms as a replacement get ready location and my husband and I had to spend the night elsewhere. They offered me a free night once the remodel finished but later retracted the offer when we called to book. The shuttle driver quit returning to the hall location an hour early stranding 1⁄3 of my guests. My poor dad walked back and spent the rest of the night shuttling people back to the hotel. It was embarrassing and a crappy end to an otherwise perfect day. The rooms and lobby were ok but the shadiness of the wedding services earned them their rating. They made a pretty penny off my guests and mostly stuck it to us. I’d never recommend to another bride.

HORRIBLESHUTTLESERVICE! I consider myself to be a relatively patient and understanding person, but this hotel’s advertised«10 minute» shuttle service from O’hare is completely unacceptable. I waited a whomping hour and 15 minutes to be taken to the hotel that was a mere«10 minutes» away. To say the least, I was extremely disappointed. You are better off renting a car or paying for a cab than relying on this hotel.

The hotel itself looks like maybe it was built in the 60’s or 70’s. However, they’ve done an update fairly recently and most of the hotel looks pretty nice. The only thing I noticed that didn’t get redone was the drywall in the hallways. It’s covered with wallpaper but you can see a definite waviness. The best part of any Double Tree is of course the free hot chocolate chip cookies! They are supposed to be for when you check in but if you’re really nice to the people at the front desk you might be able to get them at other times too! Also I’m a big fan of their«sweet dreams» sleep experience. I has a king size bed complete with 5 feather pillow, down feather bed, and down comforter – this is by far the most comfortable way to sleep, unless of course you’re allergic to feathers! My room also had a good sized HDTV – 36″ maybe? I didn’t actually measure. The hotel also had free wired or wireless internet in the rooms and throughout the hotel. The rooms come with a pretty complimentary breakfast buffet, but I’ll cover that in a review of the restaurant – Birch River Grill.

Airport Arrival: called for a pick up at ORD and was advised it would be one hour. Aggggg. Waited for exactly one hour and the shuttle showed up as promised. No deductions there, the shuttle was free, the estimate was accurate and the driver was extremely friendly and seemed like a safe driver. Checkin: i arrived at the desk to hear the receptionist say«Ill call you back.» I dont expect hotel staff to wait for me doing nothing but kudos to her for promptly ending the conversation and giving me her attention. The receptionist my key and breakfast coupons were all ready, making for a very quick checkin. The only downside during the checkin process was there was no personality, caring attitude, acknowledgment of status or personal touch. A machine could have made me feel more welcome. Room: I arrived into my room at 6pm to find someone drilling and working on the heater/ac unit. While he was pleasant, I didn’t check in until 6pm in the evening! Couldn’t they have repaired it before I arrived into my room or assigned me a room that was working? Anyway, besides that inconvince and the hidden coffee maker(good luck finding it, hint: search near the TV) the room was clean and comfortable. Food: See my review of the hotel restaurant. Unless it’s free, I’d walk in the snow to Denny’s! Checkout: Checkout was very quick and painless, the only issue I experience was my breakfast bill wasn’t on the receipt yet. So they had to e-mail me my hotel bill an hour later once all the charges were finalized.

It was nice, wife and I stayed there one night. Unfortunatly there was a wedding party and the walls are just not that thick. Didn’t get much sleep, but the beds are comfortable and the resturant is great.

We had our wedding reception at the DoubleTree in October and were beyond happy with the service provided. We booked the wedding in January and worked with Vickie throughout the year. She was extremely attentive and there for our every need. Out of all the banquet halls we looked at, she was the first to ask questions about us and really cared about what we wanted. The DoubleTree offered wonderful packages at decent prices. Our food tasting was terrific and the food the day of the wedding was just as good. I was a big DIY bride, and they were very accommodating, letting me store stuff there 2 days before and helping with setup the day of. When I saw the room I was blown away. It was so gorgeous and it wouldn’t have happened without the attention of the staff. The hotel rooms are very nice as well which was a big plus for our guests. TIP: Ask about the afterparty option at the hotel bar. We did that and provided food and drinks for the guests when the reception was over. It was a great way to wind down the night!

Check-in: quick and painless. Nice staff, nothing too special. Parking: free surface lot. Room: a little on the older side. Rooms are spacious– I stayed in a King room– had a flat screen TV, desk, and a chair. Bathroom had a tub shower. AC/Furnace can get a little loud when you’re trying to sleep. Overall: I was a little disappointed to see that dishes from room service in front of rooms in the hallways were still there when I returned later that afternoon. Morning buffet: free buffet for HH gold/diamond members– had a good variety and good, efficient staff. Scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, the usual.

Rating is pertaining to wedding events only. I attended a wedding here on two different occassions, one in 2011 and one in 2012. both occassions were nice… Food: Salad: tasted ok Beef Meat(moo moo): I ordered«cow». or i guess you can say beef on both occassions and both times, they were a little overcooked or not as juicy as I anticipated. oo and my flight attendant cousin stays at this hotel as well whenever she makes a stop to Chicago. no major complaints from her. although the place is a little chilly as most hotels are. I’ll give this place 4 stars for decent service and food…

This DoubleTree Hotel is located in a relatively quiet suburb of Chicago. The location is easily accessible to major highways and a shopping mall. There is a restaurant onsite, as well as numerous restaurants nearby. My stay was quiet for the most part, except for folks having a late night meet and greet in the hallway in the middle of the night. Otherwise, no noise from the airport(s) or traffic. Note that downtown is a good 20 – 30 minute drive, if traffic is moving. Alex and Duane at the front desk were pleasant and made my stay more welcoming. The hotel also has shuttle service to/from the airport and to the mall; just make reservations in advance. BTW, apparently, they allow pets… hopefully they remain on one floor, away from guests who do not have pets on site.

To sum up my recent stay I would have to say — meh. Granted I had more than room on floor 2 at my access. The 2 queen room(209) was a little cramped and the wall between the bathroom and room had a big crack in it. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. 218 is a king room and that was very spacious and the bathroom was clean. 201 is a 1 bedroom suite my friends had and the only complaint they had was how warm it got in the main room due to the sun shining into the wall of windows. The staff was incredible, room service was right on time and had a fabulous presentation. I was there with a group of about 18 people and the general complaint was the prices of drinks at Birch River Grill. I travel a lot for work and typically use Hilton hotels. BRG did have the second highest prices I’ve seen at a Doubletree for drinks.
